Very good. I had the Calzone and I was glad they didn’t over do it with the bread/crust. Most places like Old Chicago put way more bread then toppings inside.

I can’t decide how I feel about this place. I came in for a single slice just to check it out. The kids working there were all SO friendly. You know when you’re not in a great mood and you go into a place and wonder why everyone else is so happy? That’s where I was. They turned my mood around in the 5 minutes I was there waiting on a slice to get warmed up. The restaurant itself is a little worn down. There are 4 booths and a couple small tables(if their pizza boxes and supplies aren’t covering them, I assume they are available for dining). The booths are old, worn down, ripped up — looked very dirty. I didn’t want to sit down or touch anything in here — but I feel like maybe it’s such an old place and that’s just how it is? The menu was awesome. They had TONS of items on it, all seemingly decently priced. I, however, judge my pizza places on how the plain old normal slice-of-cheese tastes. Anyway, I pay a couple bucks for a slice, I take it outside to eat in my car instead. The cheese —yum! SO good. I really enjoyed the slice. The sauce was delicious, crust was great, perfect amount of cheese — I wanted more! I am not sure if I’ll be back inside for pizza, it really just looked like a dump/dive bar in there… but the food was great and the service was outstanding. Hopefully they can make a few changes to the inside and clean it up a bit. I’d love to dine in.

Having a lazy New Years Day, the boyfriend and I decided to order a pizza in the early afternoon. After checking out a couple places online, we settled on Pizza Alley. We both agreed to get garlic cheese bread(because why wouldn’t we?). We also selected the deep dish with pepperoni and meatballs and I added a slice of the«white face»(with chicken added). The guy on the phone said they normally don’t deliver slices but that he would do it. I’m assuming they wouldn’t deliver only a bunch of slices, but since we got a couple other things it wasn’t a huge deal? I don’t know, but I was grateful because I’d already gotten my hopes up. The estimated delivery time was 35 minutes and it was right around that. The slice was really yum. It was a decent size and savory combination of flavors(I mean, olive oil and ricotta on a pizza? I’m sold). The deep dish was definitely satisfying. The meatballs added an unexpected taste that you don’t normally get on a pizza but in a good way. Boyfriend said he preferred a more Chicago style deep dish but that it was still satisfactory. The garlic cheese bread was fine but nothing special. Nice portion though. Considering the modest prices and quality of food, we’ll probably order from there again.

This is my go to place for a quick 2 slices with a soda or beer. They’re pretty speedy and simple. Quality pizza and not overpriced like some of their competition. Their quality is great and their prices are affordable. Can’t say to their delivery speed as I’ve only eaten in house, but slices come out hot and quick.

We came in today after the Harvest Festival at Highlands Square. We ordered the dinner special which included a 16 inch pizza with pepperoni and Italian sausage, 10 wings, and breadsticks(which we substituted instead of 2 large drinks), all of which costed about $ 27. Not too bad. Everything was really good, I sometimes enjoy NY style pizza. The wings were nice and crispy and were decent size. The bread sticks were alright, kind of dry but the marinara sauce made up for it. The employees were super nice, especially since the guy let me sub the breadsticks for the drinks. The only problem with this place was there were flies everywhere. At first we sat at a small table closer to the bathrooms but there wasn’t enough room on the table for the food so we moved to the booth by the window and there were probably like 10 flies flying around. That kind of killed my appetite because I was too busy swatting them and protecting the food. We boxed up everything except what we were eating so the flies wouldn’t touch it. Gross. Anyway they really need to work on fixing that but otherwise I enjoyed the food. Next time I would probably just get it to go.

We ordered three pies over four days and delivery was promt and the pies were fresh and tasty. Crust was thin and rim was proper size. My guess this is a one day rise on the dough which is what most NY street pie is. My favorite was the bacon pepperoni and jalapeño. Very good and the sauce was quite zesty. So for delivery pie it gets a four and we did enjoy. NY style is not my first choice, I am more into neapolitan. But this was a super tasty delivery treat.

I like Pizza Alley just fine. Their product is generally well made, and their delivery is fast and dependable. I’ve seen a couple of reviews with pictures that make it look like they so sloppy work, but I’ve never had a bad experience there. Friendly staff, and decent prices.

Got delivery — pizza & wings. Pizza dough wasn’t fully cooked. They packaged the wings with balsamic vinaigrette instead of blue cheese.

Being from the Chicago area, I’m pretty picky about my pizza. Of course, there is deep dish, which is hard to match. But where I grew up, in NWIN about 25 minutes SE of Chicago, the most popular pizza is the thin crust, or Midwestern style(very similar to NY — ). I do believe we have some of the best pizza in the country in NWIN. This place, Pizza Alley, is pretty much spot on with what I grew up with. Oozing with grease, covered in fantastic cheese, the sauce of a perfect balance of sweet and sour, and a great crust. I don’t know if you could beat this, Denver. Absolutely wonderful.

Love this place! Great crispy pizza that you can order by the slice. They make each slice for you so you choose the toppings and they are huge. The place has been at the same location since the 70’s so it has a divey feel.

Look, this place is good, flat out. Their flavors are right on, the pies come out piping hot, and the cost is reasonable. I ordered this for lunch here at the office and everyone was very pleased! The delivery guy was nice and called ahead of time to tell me when he would be there. This is one of the few restaurants that will actually deliver to DHS, so I will recommend this place to the rest of the people in the building. It would be nice if they offered more specials, however being that the quality of food, service and pricing is so high, I am more than willing to look past that! Great job Pizza Alley! Thank You!

The girl on the phone talks so fast, is condescending and rude and is a royal B but the delivery dude was super sweet and mellow and cute. Za was really dlish and tasty if you can just have patience to get past phone grl. 2 – 3 nah, 2 or 1 for phone B and 5 for D guy. 4 for yummy pizza too. Not best crust in the world but very very good! Not sure how to star that funny mess.

After a 7 mile hike with no snacks yesterday we decided to eat at Pizza Alley because of their advertised pizza by the slice. We were starving, it sounded fast, and there’s nothing like loading up on carbs after a long strenuous hike. We’ve been living in the Highlands for 2 years now and while we’ve tried a lot of pizza places including Ernie’s, Hops and Pie, NY Pizza, Pizzeria Locale, and Parisi. For some reason, Pizza Alley was never on my list of restaurants to try. Our experience was pretty mediocre, we started ordering 4 slices of their Sicilian deep dish with a few toppings and a fountain drink, our total, $ 27. WHAT? For 4 slices of pizza? So I noticed on the menu that if we ordered an entire pizza it would actually be $ 25(including the same toppings), for 8 slices, EIGHTSLICES. Now, I can’t attest to how big the 4 slices would have been individually, but I can say that the serving size of the pizza was generous and I could only eat 1.5 slices of their Sicilian deep dish. Minus one star for the guy who took our order and did not know his menu well enough to offer us an entire pie for cost savings. Minus another star for how dirty the tables outside were, I’m talking they haven’t been cleaned in years, filthy. Overall a three-star experience because the pizza was actually pretty darn good.

This is my favorite pizza around my house. Also if you don’t really enjoy that pizza style their spaghetti is delicious — with meatballs is the best! The salad comes in small or large and I love it too, especially with the blue cheese. They will even substitute a PBR for soda with their specials if you dine– in.

If it weren’t for the consistently great quality of this pizza joint, they’d have gone out of business a long time ago. Delivery times are crazy inaccurate. Sometimes, they just decide to close early when you’re drunk and hungry and really need a pizza. There’s not a person over the age of 19 working there. And you definitely cannot work at PIzza Alley if you’re not stoned. All of the time. But despite their well-meaning yet terrible customer service, the pizza is always bomb. You may not get the pizza that you ordered. And it may get to you an hour after the delivery time they gave you. But it will always be one of the best pizzas in the city. And I guess, ultimately, that’s what matters. Pizza Alley, you’re a hot, stoned mess, but we love you just the way you are.

Great Pizza! Two thumbs up! As a New York transplant, I feel like I Minored in Pizza. Coming here, I tried Two-Fisted Marios(tiny slice, not impressed) and Ian’s Pizza(pretty good), but this place is as close to home as it gets so far. Pizza’s not complicated — if you use good cheese and sauce like Pizza Alley, you’re going to have a good product. Definitely my new go-to!

Went in yesterday for a slice of pizza and a meatball sub-two pretty easy things to whip up. We could see in the back from where we were sitting and watchd them take pre-made meatballs and sauce, put it on a bun and heat it. For a «sit-in» order it took over 45 minutes for us to get our two things. Not once did a manager come and apologize and when my boyfriend told the cashier we now had to get the order to go because of the wait, there was no offer to rectify the situation. Granted the cashier worked hard and was stressed, if the wait was going to be that long it should we should have been informed before we waited almost an hour for a slice of pizza and the meatball sub. To top it off, my pizza was cold when I got it after waiting that long. The reason for the two stars is I have been here before and the lunch special is a good deal, however, won’t come here again after the poor service recieved for cold pizza.

I used to love this place. I’d go and drive there, every Sunday for a few slices to go of East Coast style pizza. East coast pizza is hard to get in Denver. Many claim to have it but most fail to deliver. Over the past 18 months it’s honestly been hit or miss. Service takes forever, 30+ mins, and occasionally the slices are slim on toppings and the dough is soggy. A few weeks back I decided to order a large pie so I called it in and was told to be there in 45 mins. I showed up, paid and then told it’ll be another 15 to 20 mins. They were slammed. ok fine. I said cancel the order and I’ll take a refund. The guy running the register said they did refunds at the end of the night, not to worry though, it would be done. I’m easy, no big deal, ok. So 3 days later I check my account and there was no refund. I then called them to ask about it and they said oh yeah we didn’t do it, we can’t do it now so just come in and get the cash. So a drive in to get the cash. The skinny guy throwing the pies, who I see all then time, didn’t really say much, just here’s your money. Oh well… they’re too busy for me. All my efforts to be a customer just goes away in one shot. The good news is there are pizza places opening up all over this side of town. Kaos and Fat Sullys are coming to Tennyson. And there’s always Tennyson fav Hops n Pie and Parisi’s(makes amazing neopolitan style pizzas). No need to drive to Pizza Alley to wait.

If you’re looking for a NY slice of pizza at a reasonable price, this place is legit. Located in the heart of Highland square, you can pick up, eat in or have it delivered. The service is always quick and the delivery times are realistic. I think that the calzones are the best — they are large enough for next day lunch leftovers or enough for two people! If you’re hungry for pizza on a Friday or weekend night, eating in or picking up is your best bet. I think that their pizza pairs best with a pale ale or Dry Dock Apricot Blonde. Enjoy!

The place itself is small and shows it’s age. The staff seemed as though they would rather be somewhere else, it was nice out so I can’t fault them. We ordered a side of wings(10 pieces) and an 18″ pizza with pineapple, onions and mushrooms. The wings were deep fried with the wing sauce on the side. The wings were a little overcooked but palatable, you wouldn’t go here for just wings. The pizza was real good, nice thin crust, sweet sauce, great taste. I will be back again this is good pizza at a reasonable price in an area of town that is nice to visit.
