Dr. Rubinson sent me a bill after I had surgery with another doctor. I went to an in-​network surgeon at an in-​network surgery center, and he apparently came in in the middle of my surgery with no prior consent. I was then billed for several thousand dollars by his office, which told me I was not in his network (despite the fact that I very conscientiously went to an in-​network doctor to avoid this very problem). This is a distinctly slimy and unethical way to spring huge bills on patients without their consent. See him at your own risk.
