I like this beer fest a lot. I go to most of the festivals around Denver and they are mostly super crowded. This one is in a nice open space with plenty of room to roam. Last year they had some cool bands, food trucks and quite a few local breweries. Check it out.

The Stapleton Beer Fest isn’t huge, but has grown each year and attracts a great variety of breweries from the area. I’ve gone all three years and have enjoyed it immensely. Best of all, I have discovered some great beers here that I would probably never even have heard of otherwise. Well worth the money.

An outdoor, beer drinking extravaganza on a gorgeous day? How could it not be fun? This annual event is held in the Green in Stapleton and was well laid out, with beer vendors around the perimeter of one half, live bands on the other half and food trucks along the outside. It cost $ 35 per person and that included $ 9 to use towards the food trucks(and good ones at that — OG Burgers & Waffle Cakes were my stops). As for the beer represented, there were a ton — Santa Fe Brewery, Avery, Boulder Beer, Arvada Beer Co, Bull & Bush, River North — to name a few, and obviously, some better than others. Although we got tiny tasters, the event was not insanely crowded so the cup was never empty for long. While there were some kids at the Beer Fest, there were MUCH less than I had expected, but I guess I’m not surprised since Stapleton is kid-heaven. The bathroom sitch was not bad and I never had to wait — a few port a potties, and one gorgeous bathroom van. This thing was seriously nicer than many bar bathrooms. All in all a fun event and one I’d likely return to next year. Riding your bike to Stapleton is a breeze, with many bike routes/shared road lanes, so just leave your car at home!
