Steve’s Detailing & Hand Car Wash

Never going back to the machine car washes… for a couple extra dollars you can get a handwash from Steve’s. $ 20 for exterior/​$ 25 for both interior & exterior. They are meticulate and car looks beautiful once done (so shiny!!!). Super friendly staff is a plus! It’s a little hard to find at first because they are located in a parking garage underneath the pink glass building but there are signs at the garage entrance facing Tufts Ave.

This place is fantastic! The staff are excellent and I’m really pleased with the both the quality of the service and the price. Highly recommend!
One thing worth mentioning is that Steve’s can be a little tricky to find because it’s located in the parking garage of a commercial office building. I recommend calling them to get directions before your first visit.

I don’t trust machine car washes and I was looking for a good hand wash place and found this near my work. I’m really glad I made the decision to go there. The owner Zack is a very nice guy. Gives you all the information and lets you make a decision… no pressure what so ever.
They hand washed the car spotless and cleaned the interior thoroughly. I dash was shiny, windshield spotless, mats and seats absolutely clean. It costs 25 $ to do the inside and outside and 20 $ if you want just the outside wash. Granted, it’s a little expensive than the regular car washes, but there’s a reason for that and you’ll know it when you get your car detailed here.
If I can’t wash the car myself (which usually is the case because I’m lazy) or if it gets really dirty, this is where I’d go!

Zach and team did an excellent job on my BMW 750! I am particular about the people who detail my car and the team at Steve’s did not disappoint. The exterior was flawless, as well as the interior and the engine. I had an opportunity to meet Wade the owner who was also personable and professional. I would highly recommend Steve’s.

Zack’s great. Offered to clean the interior on a complementary wash. Dusted and vacuumed. (I still have to wipe the driver seats’ backsides myself though.)

dropped my brand new BMW x6 today to remove some scratches, Zack took me in, very nice guy, very honnest guy that you can tell by his eyes. they did buffing most of my scratches out witch is a lot better than I thought it would be. nearlly perfect job, plus Exterior hand wash waxing all that and Interior vacuume. and it cost only 150. Lot less than I would expect. they are so good at it. even if it‘s a brand new car, but when I picking it up .it still impressed me .it looks even newer than brand new. shinning like friging black pearl. definitely will come back to do some detailing every two or even one month. highlly recommonded !!!

$ 700 to detail the exterior of a truck? No way… Keep on driving… I’ll do it myself…

I called Steve’s this morning on my way to work upon discovery of some mold growing on the rear mat of my SUV. (I had a quilt across the cargo area to protect the car from our snowboards, which we leave in the car all season. Bad idea-​never dried and created a stinky situation).
Zach told me to stop by anytime to take a look, and thought shampooing the mat might work and quoted me $ 20 – 25. (Without seeing it and made that clear the price may change once he saw it-​completely reasonable.) I took the car there over lunch, where he examined it closely (and smelled the carpet… my apologies guys!!)
After saying they could work on it right away, he directed me to the building’s lobby. I waited for 20 – 30 min, he called me back down and said they went ahead and shampooed the mat AND the carpet itself. $ 25.
I could not be more pleased with the quick turnaround and level of service I received. Highly recommend! The hardest part of dealing with these guys is finding the business, which is on the P2 lower level of an underground parking garage accessible from Tufts or Union. Fyi, just push the ‘Steve’s’ button and they’ll let you through.
Thanks again to all involved! Those Infiniti mats are pri-​c-​ey, but Steve’s helped me avoid having to order a new one!

I’ve used Steve’s for many years now. Wade, the owner, is a terrific guy to do business with. He has always worked me into his schedule with little delay. The detail results are always very consistent. I would recommend highly. «Keep up the good work guys»

Took my husband’s 10-​year-​old, filthy 4Runner in for a detail for his birthday. WOW! The truck looks 10 years newer and the service was top-​notch! Could’ve felt silly when I drove in and saw the porches, but Wade (I think his name was…) treated us like gold. Will be back!

I was completely impressed with the job that Steve’s Detailing did on my car (BMW X3). They detailed it inside and out and the car is literally in better condition than when I bought it. The attention to detail was amazing. So glad to find such a high quality service… highly recommended!

So glad I Unilocaled near my work and found this place. Phenomenal service and attention to detail– The owner (Wade, not Steve as you would expect) knows and loves his cars. Got a hand wash and vacuum today and my car looked brand new. Amazing job.
I WILL be back for a wax and detail when I need it.
Only challenge is that the place is a bit hard to find, being in the bowels of a parking garage in the DTC. But once you find it, it is well worth it, and it kinda feels like the speakeasy of car washes.

I went to Steve’s because it was on the BBB website with a rating of A, and the one Unilocal review was very good.
However…
I made an appointment to have my car detailed with the main focus on the interior. I have an SUV and it needed some care. I was quoted $ 340 -/​+ $ 20. The quote was about $ 100 higher than the competitors but I wanted a great result and not have to worry about being nit-​picky. I dropped the car off Monday afternoon with the understanding that my car would be completely clean and dry.
Needless to say, that did not happen. What really infuriated me was that there were still very visible spots on the seat belts and when I pointed it out I was given an excuse and then told to clean it myself!!!
After having the car for a full 24 hours it was not finished being cleaned when I arrived for the SECOND time.
I DO NOT recommend them.

Steve’s Detailing and Hand Car Wash — owned by Wade (yes, seriously, the owner’s name is Wade) — is FANTABULOUS! I don’t have a fancy car but after Wade and team are done with it I tell you it looks brand new. Brand spankin’ new! And gorgeous! In fact, I just picked up my car and it is soooooo pretty right now I can’t stop staring at it.
So you may have gathered by the above that Wade and his team are very good at what they do. You might call them the «detailer’s detailer» because I’ve never seen any detailed car look as good as what they do. Yes, I think they are a little more expensive than what you might pay elsewhere but I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. You get what you pay for, ya’ know. And on top of all that, Wade is a really nice guy as are they guys that work with him. They are best of the best for certain. Added bonus — they can get dings out of your car, too. Yes, they are good.
