History

Established in 2000.

Beginning with one Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT), Tao has grown to include 11 Certified Trainers and Certified Applied Animal Behaviorists (CAAB) with proven results in simple training and behavior modification. Look for the Tao of the Dog Fulfillment Center to open in 2015!

A Certified Applied Animal Behaviorist (CAAB), Certified Animal Behavior Consultant (CABC) and Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT), I founded Tao of the Dog to share my passion for dogs by helping humans understand canine behaviors to restore balance and harmony in everyday life, as well as to certify those interested in a meaningful career through the Tao Academy.

Completely agree with all the other reviews. I bought the Westword Voice Deal. Tao of the Dog never showed up for the appointment. Never returned my calls to reschedule.

If only we could give zero stars. I, too, am getting ignored by this company to schedule a training session! I will report them to the BBB after this!

This business is HORRIBLE! They lack of communication is appalling. In fact … a lack of business is the best way to describe it. They are just collecting money and then never actually return calls to provide a service. I have been trying for 3 months to schedule training for my dog and Carrie has played phone tag with me this entire time. I actually got her live once and we scheduled a training session to which she never showed up! Then after multiple calls to the company and weeks that passed she apologized stating a death in the family. Being understanding and good natured I completely understood and tried to reschedule. From then on I’ve never spoken with her again. Half the time the phone number is «out of range» and you can’t even leave a message. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME WITH THIS COMPANY!

Words cannot describe the loathing I have for this company, it is completely beyond my comprehension how they have not gone out of business already. Initially I had called several times (left several messages) and to no avail. I would think it is appropriate business etiquette to give you a return phone call in a least a couple business days. After finally getting a hold of them to schedule an appointment, they don’t even show up! Let alone send the confirmation email they promised. If you would like to go through a couples months of constant frustration then perhaps Tao of the Dog is for you, but personally their shady tactics (calling from blocked numbers, and the phone goes straight to voice mail every time) are not for me.

We purchased a deal on Westward Voice Daily Deals. It took us 3 weeks to get ahold of the business and they gave us a song and dance on how their phones and Internet had been down. We were finally able to schedule an appointment and were told we would get a confirmation email — which we never did. As our appointment was tonight (surprise, surprise they were a no show) we’ve been leaving messages all week and never got a return call. I contacted The Voice and they are willing to issue a refund. Thankfully the Voice knows how to run a business!
