My husband and I order from Thai Monkey Club often, via the Unilocal Eat24 app. We have no problems whatsoever with the app and the customer service is phenomenal. However, this particular location is the absolute worst. Every time we order from here there is an issue. The smoothies are always out of stock, other random dishes are out of stock, and they always forget at least one part of our order. The food is also hit or miss at this location. If you want to order or eat at Thai Monkey Club, definitely go to one of their other locations or you’ll be sure to be let down. If I could give zero stars, I would.

If I could give less stars I would. Got take out last night with friends and there were fruit flies in multiple dishes. Tons of them. Unforgivable, irredeemable in my book… gross.

Very good food, friendly prompt staff, the papaya salad should not be prepared ahead, my only complaint. It needs to be composed when it’s served.

It’s not very good. Don’t be fooled by the number of people dining here into thinking that it’s a good restaurant. It only recently opened on Upper Colfax and, like a lot of other mediocre restaurants in the area, are only doing well because of the recent uptick in economic activity and recent transplants who don’t know any better. The food doesn’t taste that amazing, portions are small for the high prices, and the service stinks. Ate here once and never coming back.

Delivered 45 minutes late. I would normally be fine with this but, I was hungry and tried to cancel the order several times but no one picked up the phone. The food was bad and i’m comparing it to their other locations which have other owners. I would avoid this place if any other options exist.

Poor customer service. We just bought a certificate…we went to use it 1 week after purchase and were told they no longer accept them… yet they are still on ! Not acceptable. The place is small and in a very undesirable location. Go to a different Thai place!

We enjoyed our food overall. This is a very decent choice for delivery. The ingredients were fresh and high-quality and some of the sauces were well-developed and balanced. Highlights: Potstickers(Both steamed and friend are delicious); clear noodle soup. Cons: Wait time on a Sunday evening was almost 2 hours for delivery, and unfortunately the food was no longer hot when it got to us. This might just be me, but I feel that the food goes from absolutely bland(Mild) to quite spicy very quickly(Mild + or Medium). It would be nice if there were a more nuanced option somewhere in between mild and Mild + on their scale. A friend ordered Medium + and found it inedible, though he normally enjoys spicy food. The Pad See Ew was ok, with thai basil and broccoli, but was too dry; no sauce at all; the noodles had become hard and were all stuck together.

As I’m writing this review my mouth is currently burning in hell. Holy hotness! I love spicy food and normally get a medium or medium/hot at most other places. WARNING: The medium here is extremely hot! I’m not giving a 2 star review due to the spice level, I actually appreciate a place that isn’t stingy with the spices. We placed our order and were told an hour, which I was perfectly fine with me if our food would have actually arrived hot! We ordered the appetizer combo which had spring rolls, egg rolls and crab won tons. They were all just thrown into a brown paper bag, NONE of them were hot, or even warm for that matter, and the won tons tastes rubbery. I got the pad Thai and there was hardly any sauce or bean sprouts, and the peanuts were completely non existent. It was pretty much just a bowl of plain noodles & fried egg. I’ve read that the other location is better, but as for this location I will definitely not be ordering from here again.

I normally get my thai food in Aurora, but as I was in the City Park neighborhood on a Sunday(my spot is closed Sundays) I decided to check out Thai Monkey Club based on recommendations from several friends. The only thing to note, is that they will automatically make you a very mild dish unless you specify how hot you want it. I ordered the Drunken Noodles in medium+ and my friend ordered the Pad See Ew. The Medium+ was perfect for me… I love spicy, but not too hot that I can’t taste my food. Also the drunken noodles were phenomenal! My friend’s Pad See Ew was good, but they served it so mild that the sauce almost tasted like a boullion broth rather than a sauce. I’m not sure whether the spice brings out the flavor, or whether it masks the bordering bland flavor of the dish, but I can say that I will return to find out!

My friends enjoyed their food as they ordered only a 1 spice level, which they said was basically no spice. I on the other hand, wanted some spice because I love Thai spices and flavors. However, I do know how Thai can get REALLYREALLY spicy, so I went with a 3(medium) spice level. Well it turns out, that a 3 at this Thai Monkey Club is equivalent to taking in a mouthful of fire. It was so spicy hot that I couldn’t finish the meal. I frequent the Thai Monkey Club on S Broadway, and always get a 3 and it’s typically about perfect(although I will say it’s not consistent). However, the level 3 at this location seem more like a level 5.

I’m seriously bummed to have to retract this review. I’m still in love with their Pad Thai, but tonight our delivery experience was bad enough that I’ll never be ordering from this location again. When we called they said 45 minutes delivery time, but I’ve gotten used to them taking longer so we didn’t call till it had been an hour and a half. We were told that the driver had come back with our food, saying that he had called us and we had told him we already had gotten our food. We never received a call. The food had been back for a while. So she sent the food out again, and it got here in 30 minutes. So 2 hours after we ordered, we were very hangry and confused about what had happened. I was told it was a different driver so I told him I wanted to give him a tip but didn’t want to pay for the food. We called the store to make sure the message got through and the women became extremely defensive and rude, yelling at my partner and I about how long this delivery driver had worked for her, insisting that he had called us. She refused to give us a refund. We told her we would be calling our credit card and declining the charge if she chose to run it, and we were told that if we did that, they would not deliver to us again. So I guess I’m still looking for the best Pad Thai in Denver, cause this one just became very unappetizing.

I judge a Thai restaurant based on their version of Larb. Since moving to Denver, I’m still looking for a good one. The Thai Monkey Club version is the first one I ever had that had no spiciness to it. The menu didn’t denote it as a spicy dish(which I thought was odd), and when it came out it sure wasn’t. Overall, it just didn’t have that balance of salty-sour-spicy-herby flavor that can make this such a wonder dish. When I added chiles to it from the condiment jar, it did taste better but it was still disappointing. I might eat here again, but I’d order something else.

The food was good, but NOT worth the 1hr 55min wait for delivery. To their credit, they called at the 1:15 mark to tell me they were on the way and would be here soon… Maybe«soon» is relative. Unless there was a delivery time guarantee, I would not order from Thai Monkey Club again.

Bad service. I am Thai and sometimes want to eat Thai food that I don’t cook myself. So I decided to go to Thai Monkey Club at Colfax & Colorado. However, this place gave me the worst restaurant experience of all the Thai restaurants I have ever been to in Denver. The waitress looked stressed out and seemed very short answering any question. That was the first red flag. Furthermore she did not come to check up on us the whole time we were sitting there waiting. The table nearest to us was dirty nearly the whole time. We had been waiting for our food for about 45 minutes. But once we asked how much longer it would take because we need to go to be somewhere else, she went back to the kitchen and brought the food out right away. While we sat there waiting we observed 6 or 7 customers come to get their carry out food, but it appeared as if the customers who’d actually decided to eat at the restaurant were having to wait until all the carry out customers were served first; most likely the restaurant makes more money serving people, fast and easy, and doesn’t care about its dine-in customers. However, putting the dine-in’s on the«back burner» is obviously not fair to those people who go there expecting average-or-better service. The food there is OK but not super awesome. I mean there are a lot of Thai restaurants in Denver that have great food and good service like Suvipa, Thai pot café, the other two Thai monkey clubs, Udom Thai and Thai Lotus. As a Thai person, I do not recommend this place. And I will not go to this Thai Monkey Club at 4122 East Colfax Avenue, Denver, CO80220 ever ever again.

As a recent Denver transplant, my one wish was for there to be some good Thai food here. My partner and I decided to try Thai Monkey Club since it’s near our house. We had the steamed potstickers, pad thai, and one of the curry dishes. We both liked all three. Not the best Thai food I have ever had, but it was great. The service was also excellent. Our server was very friendly, and we chatted a little bit. She kept our water full, which was great since we both asked for our entrees to be spicy. You can choose your level of spicy on the entrees. I found the level 4 to be at the top of my tolerance range, but still delicious. They also have free delivery within 2 miles. This will definitely be my go-to Thai spot.

I would say that this place is A-OK. They have a variety of lunch specials which are priced very reasonably, and the service is quick and friendly.

Each time I order from here, I like it more. First things first: Denver is SEVERELY lacking in Thai food delivery options. I can’t be sure how much I would like this place if I lived somewhere with more authentic options(places that aren’t called Asian Kitchen, Asian Fusion, Asia Asia etc.) but for the area I live in and for the price this place is a favorite of mine. Be careful of the spice level. They ask you if you want 1 – 6. Don’t be fooled. Even a 3 is spicy and I enjoy very spicy food. 3 is not too spicy for me, but I wouldn’t want to get a 3 level for everything I order. I typically get one 3 and a few 2’s(2 is very mild). Delivery is fast here when they aren’t busy. When they are busy or its snowing, it takes forever. That’s typical of everywhere in this area.

Err, I wanted to try that famous«Chicken Rice» so to this Thai Monkey Club we went. From the conversation we had, I found out, that the Thai Monkey Club in GOLDEN, COCLOSES and now they open one at this Location, and apparently the staffs from that GOLDEN Location is running this Location. THEYNOLONGER serve or provide that famous«Chicken Rice»… *SIGH* Another odd thing, is that this establishment offer Sushi. Err for one, I am NOT into SUSHI from a Thai establishment. Maybe its a niche for this neighborhood to compete but I just hope Thai Monkey Club can just offer THAI Cuisine and excel in them well. Anyways this recent visit was on Friday September 5th2014. We came in at about 20:00hrs ish since Hubs has to work late. Err, for one WEARETHEONLY Patrons, dining in that evening. Is this a good sign or bad sign? Ohh well, I give them the benefit of the doubt coz I have good memories about Thai Monkey Club(S Broadway) Location. From their simple Menu, we opt to have the following items : * Crab Wontons($ 4.99) * Duck Jungle Curry(Medium Spicy) — Hubs Order($ 11.99) * Pad See Ew with Shrimp Option and THAIHOT($ 10.99) At first our Appetizer order of Crab Wontons came to our table. Err for one, its OVER-FRIED aka maybe the WOKHEAT is TOOHOT, hence the Wontons looks Darker than anticipated. From there, while we wait for our Main Entrée, Hubs decide to order another round of Appetizers which was the Monkey Mix($ 8.99) which consisted 1 shrimp roll, 2 crab cheese wontons, 3 veggie egg rolls and 3 potsickers. This time around, the Appetizer order tasted well, fried to perfection and we like it. NOW back to the Main Entrée. YES, the portion is Doable, but it could be «skimpy» for some. I personally feel the Main Entrees, be it the Special Duck Curry and my order of Pad See Ew, lack in certain expect of Flavor, of Spicy, Sweet and Salty. YES, I always order my Thai food as THAIHOT, BUT — All the Food especially the Main Entrees, some what lack of the«WOW» factor. *SIGH* Throughout the whole Dinner, WEARESTILL the ONLY Patrons in this establishment that evening. After our Dinner, I also opt to have the Passion Fruit Ice Slushy BOBATOGO, which was($ 3.79). Overall, I am torn about this Location. The FOOD factor and even the service provided DIDNOTWOW us at all. Our Main server tends to be stand-off-ish. Perhaps once the«empire» goes bigger, the Management cannot run a Thai establishment that can provide Authentic Thai Cuisine, coz personally, this LOCATIONFALLSSHORT. Hence this 2.5 stars GENEROUS Review with a BIGDISAPPOINTMENT. Thai Monkey Club On Colfax 4122 E. Colfax Avenue, Denver, CO80220 Tel:(303)-658−0751 @178/2014
