I’m a moron when it comes to wine. I’m the bud light guzzling nightmare version of a wine drinker. But, I want to expand my taste buds. So, wine sellers usually intimidate me. Until I met Chris, the bearded mellow man who took away all my wine choosing anxiety. They didn’t carry what I asked for, but Chris knew others in a similar vein and even suggested a few to help me branch out. Didn’t bat an eye when I requested the cheapest version either. Thanks Chris and my little neighborhood booze house, I’ll definitely be back.

This is my neighborhood liquor store. The guys that work here are always super nice and helpful and always offer my dog a treat when I bring him in. There isn’t a huge beer selection (it’s not called the beer cellar) lol but it suites my needs! Plenty of Colorado beers and your standard coors/​bud lite, etc. They have a huge wine selection and a rewards program, I think you have to buy 10 bottles to get a free one. I’ll definitely continue to support this local business.

This is a great neighborhood wine/​alcohol shop. The selection is quite good– expansive selection of reasonably priced wines and local Colorado craft beers. They are dog-​friendly too and gave my pup a milk-​bone during our last visit. Definitely won her and me over and I won’t go elsewhere. Seriously though, check this shop out and support local business!

No website. No message on your phone. REALLY?
The men that work there are nice. There is one woman that works there that is MEAN as heck.
Even the people in my building talk about her rudeness. If she is working, I turn my back & go somewhere else.
GET A WEBSITE and a $ 10.00 message machine.

Great selection of beer and wine.
The buyers card is great (12 wines and get one free).
Staff is always very friendly and helpful and give great suggestions when I’m stuck.

Full disclosure: I live pretty much literally across the street from this place. But truth be told, when I bought my house having a wine/​liquor store across the street was a selling point (especially in Denver when you can’t just run to the grocery store for a bottle of wine).
The folks that work here are always super chill and nice, and for the size of this place, there really is a great selection. This is the perfect place to stop on your way home from work to grab a quick bottle, or quickly run into on your way to that dinner party you forgot to get a host gift for.
Ask for your wine punch card if you’re planning to be a regular! After a certain number of bottles (10? 12?) you get a free bottle of wine… No complaints about that!

It’s a liquor store. They sell your various local brews, mass-​produced, and seem to have a decent enough stock of wine for being a smaller business. The reason for three stars? It stinks of cigarettes anytime I go in. STINKS. The staff is nice, but I’ve found myself spending more on beer here than anyplace nearby, and reeking of tobacco afterwards.

This is a nice local liquor store. I like that they switch up their beer selection frequently so you can always get something different. It’s a small location but they have a pretty good selection for their size. However, it’s the staff that really makes this place awesome. I come here frequently, they always strike up friendly conversations and provide great recommendations. The staff is what earns this place 5 stars.

Great place. The staff is super super friendly and knowledgeable. They are quick to offer recommendations and are normally spot on. Their prices are decent and they have some awesome specials (frequent buyer card and a standard sunday sale.) It’s small yes, but they have a great selection for their space. They are very easy to get to and parking is always available.

I love this place because I can walk here, and with the dog. They give him a treat each time we visit and I find that outstanding for a neighborhood LQ. A little pricier, so I guess you are paying for the convenience, but I find that OK for the little guys.

I’d say go to Joy down the street for a better wine selection. (or drive to Arganaut) Their selection here is a bit sparse. They’ve got a mediocre liquor and beer selection as well, but the staff’s super cool, prices are decent, and they’re open til 10. (and Joy closes at 9 on weekdays)

I live about two blocks from this place so come in often. The staff, no matter who is working, is always very friendly and helpful. The wine is very reasonably priced (there isn’t much over $ 12). Though the selection isn’t huge, I always find what I’m looking for. They also have a frequent buyer card so once you’ve bought 12 bottles of wine, you get one for free!

A tiny wine and beer and liquor place. Right on 6th Ave., but not «stupid pretentious boring 6th. Ave». The good part of 6th ave. Lisa the owner has recently indulged her artistic side and puts mannekins in the window, in reference to the passing holidays. Gee whiz. a bit much. Still, WS is a good homey place.

Stopped in here to grab a bottle of wine on the way to a friend’s house, and was pleasantly surprised. Selection was decent, but more importantly the staff was super friendly and helpful in helping make my decision.
They also have a frequent wine card, I think you got a free bottle (or a discount for a nice bottle) after 12 bottles.

I like this wine store (which does sell some beer and liquor) because I feel like I’m supporting the «little guys» when I go here. Even though the store is pretty small they have a pretty decent selection of wine. Plus the workers are great at making a suggestion if you’re unsure which wine you want.
Stop by and pick up a bottle to go with your Angelo’s takeout or to bring to your next party. But get there before 10 or they’ll be closed.
