If you’re in Golden and looking for proximity, this place is fine. This is more of a novelty distinction than the average person looking to go to an open liquor store late at night, but they don’t have a lot of moscato options(definately lacking on the d’asti range). But, if you’re looking for a place that provides you the staples are reasonable prices, this is a good place to go. It’s open later than its nearest neighbors.

Shelves were half empty and no inexpensive California red. Do yourself a favor and go to the one by the Safeway on Chambers a much better store.

I don’t know about the previous review. I too would be pissed if I bought year expired beer. Lucky they put the date on the container so I can check before I buy. I’m from Seattle where the liquor was sold in state store until this week so we don’t really have liquor stores like this one yet. But I’ve been all over this country and I can say that this liquor store is better than most. They have a ridiculous supply and selection. You can literally hide in rows of liquor stacked to the ceiling(almost). The prices are great compared to Washington so that’s great. I have no problem with the register guy. They’re open until midnight most nights. What’s not to love?

This is the worst liquor store I have EVER been to and I have been to A LOT. One day after work I stopped in to get some beer. The place was really busy and pretty ghetto, but its near the airport so I kinda expected that. While checking out the clerk seemed very grumpy, I tried to smile and be friendly, but no response, he did not smile, say thank you or anything. At any rate, I bought an 18 pack of Breckenridge Agave Wheat. When I got home I opened a beer and offered one to my roommate, we both noticed the beer tasted very bitter and not delicious. I looked at the box and the beer was over a year expired! I get back in my car to take the beer back, but I did not bring the two we had already opened. The clerk was again very rude, not apologetic in the least that he sold me expired beer and was acting like he wasn’t going to take it back until I threw a fit and told him he was being shady. Finally, he tells me I have to bring him the two opened beers. So I go back home to get them, then go back to the liquor store, he is then like ‘ok, as a one time favor to you, you can exchange it.’ WHAT?!? As a favor to me??? After I have made 3 trips here, I can exchange the expired beer that you sold me a half an hour ago? Wow !! This is probably the shadiest return policy ever. If you are in this area and need a liquor store there is another one by Safeway, it is also ghetto, but I have never been treated so rudely!
