Time Capsule Framing

Last year I had several pieces framed: 3 vintage circus posters and a large print. All were important to me. Chris at time capsule showed me various framing/​matting options. He also gave his opinion about what would look good. My criteria was that I wanted a frame/​mat that would great on any wall (nothing ‘trendy’). After about 45 minutes, I had selected appropriate frames and matting. He finished them within 1 ½ weeks. I was VERY pleased with the quality AND price. Very affordable! It’s amazing how much a quality framed print will spruce up any room. Now, fast-​forward to last week. One of my friends knocked one of my favorite framed posters off the wall. It fell 4 ft onto a hard laminate floor. Incredibly, the glass did not break! The only damage incurred was to the frame (it split on two corners), and the paper backing. I thought: «crap, I’m moving out of state in 4 days, I really need this fixed.» I took it back to time capsule and Chris said, «ohh, I remember this one. What happened?» After telling him, he said that he could fix it; and, he fixed it for FREE! I told him I was moving out-​of-​state and would need it as soon as possible. He said it wouldn’t be a problem and made sure to prioritize it. I picked it up about an hour ago and it looked as amazing as when it was originally done. Well crafted and sturdy! The folks at time capsule also wrapped it up very securely knowing that I would be driving with it in my car. The bottom line is this: not all framing businesses are created equally. It’s an art! The people at time capsule have the know-​how to put a great frame together, but, equally important, they have the artistic sense to know what will look great. There’s also not too many companies that will go out on a limb to help former customers in a jam.

This is not your average framing store, far from it. I have been to a couple of places here in Denver and none of them were able to do what Chris has done, its not even close. If your looking for an average framing job, expect the unexpected. When you choose Time Capsule, you are giving an artist «Chris» the opportunity to fulfill your dream of the perfect frame. The work he has done time and time again is much more than a notion that framing is an art, working with Chris has given me the understanding that framing is a profession, if you are looking for professional framing, you have found it at Time Capsule.

Awesome job on my frame work. It took a little longer than quoted, but thats due to the fact he wanted me to have the very best quality and the frame I choose was difficult to cut. I appreciate the fact that he chose quality over anything. I appreciate that more than anything. I will be back for all my framing needs.

This is by far the most reasonably priced custom framing store out of the several I got quotes from in the Denver area. I had a loose canvas painting I brought back from my trip to Europe. It was an unusual size, so it needed to be custom framed. Time Capsule Framing only charged $ 150 to stretch and custom frame it. The other stores I called were going to charge me anywhere from $ 200 to $ 350 for the same thing. I can’t remember the name of the guy who helped me pick out the frame. He was very helpful in picking out a frame that looked great with my painting and kept it all in my budget! He was also the person I talked to when I called to check on my painting and was very friendly. He said it would take 2 to 3 weeks until it was ready. It ended up taking 2 ½ weeks. I am very pleased with the result! My painting looks amazing and didn’t break the bank! I would definitely recommend this frame shop and will be going back if I have anything else that needs framed.

I was under time constraints for the work to be completed, and Chris came thru to the minute. He told when to expect the completed project and it was right on the money. I am superbly pleased with the professional craftsmanship and attention to detail. The picture came shrink wrapped with corner protection and even included wall hanging hardware. Slap a bow on it and it is ready for gift giving. Great work Chris and TYVM!!!

The biggest challenge with framing a picture (or anything) is not really the act of framing. It is working with people who have the vision and the taste to really make your centerpiece look good. Time Capsule has employees who provide some amazing suggestions where they help optimize how great the overall framed object will look.
Someone mentioned ‘this is how everyone business should operate’. Before I read that, it’s exactly how I felt. I think all local businesses should take notes from Time Capsule on customer service because it is truly rare to work with a business like this where the customer service is off the charts.
I was so unbelievably happy with my two pieces when I saw the finished framed products but the customer service and the people here put that experience on another level. This is one of the few places where I would easily give more than 5 stars if I could.

Good frame shop and easy on the pocket book compared to others around town I looked at. I took in what I wanted to have framed and they did a great job of going over the mat and framing options available. Be sure to ask if they have any excess framing material laying around to have your frame made out of, because they made me a good deal with excess material they had on hand. I would definitely recommend this place, and I like that it is a locally owned business, compared to the generic Michael’s and Aaron Brother’s alternatives.

I have never worked with this company before but called to see if they engrave items. Unfortunately they don’t. However the guy I spoke with on the phone was so nice that he recommended another person who could do it. That’s exceptional customer service!

Chris and team were fantastic. I had almost 20 large items to get framed and was nervous about it breaking the bank. I told Chris my budget and we found awesome frames at a great price. The turnaround time was quick and working with Chris and his team was easy en enjoyable. Definitely would recommend Time Capsule for any framing needs.

This place is the handsdown the best frame shop I have been to. I bought a print from Eslinger and brought it there to be framed. I honestly wasnt too sure on how I wanted it framed so I handed it over to Chriss, discussed my price range and let him have at it. I have to say holly cow! The job they did was far beyond what I was expecting. Needless to say I gave them another shot at framing an old beat up concert poster I had been hanging on to for a bit. It was all wrinkled and creased so I thought it wasnt worth framing but I realy loved it. Once again Chriss convinced me they could make it happen and they did! You guys ROCK! Dropped off some tickets and a program from the BCS national championship at the rose bowl. Everything came out perfect. Couldn’t be happier. Only problem was it took a while. In all fairness we never set a time frame for completion and he apologized for it taking so long. I wasn’t in a hurry so I didn’t care at all.

We ended up at Time Capsule framing after having a very poor customer service experience with another framer in Lodo. The employees here took advice/​suggestions really well and we ended up with the most gorgeous christmas gifts to give away. It was a strange custom job that required glass and little engraved plaques and it came out beautifully. Thank you!

We’ve has several photos framed at Time Capsule for gifts, and they’ve all been beautifully done. We also have found the expertise and suggestions to be really helpful, and pricing reasonable. They’ve also done some cool frames of artwork for local microbrews, and I may have one done for a friend who is a microbrew aficionado. Definitely recommend their work!

This is how every business should operate!
I walked in on a Sunday wanting a print framed. After being surprised they were open, I was expecting to pay several hundred dollars and wait a couple weeks.
The owner showed me all my options and was able to get the job done in a couple hours and for far less than I expected. And the frame looks great! This is the place to go to get your art work framed.

This is by far the best place to get pictures stretched and/​or framed. I had two pieces of art I’ve been sitting on forever and after much research I came here due to the positive reviews on Unilocal.Was not disappointed and to my surprise was extremely pleased with how both of them turned out. The owner is very personable and runs a top notch business. I highly suggest and recommend it!

I got in touch with Chris through a friend and after meeting him realized my previous roommates had gone to him as well. Needless to say, we were all pleased with his work. He framed two of my most favorite pieces of artwork and I could not be happier. Chris is not only knowledgeable but also will go above and beyond to make sure all of your expectations are met.

What do you get when you have a small business owner who really cares about his clients, takes time to help them through the mind boggling choices one has to make when framing a cherished object… you have Chris at Time Capsule Framing. I took in my vintage collection of Hitchcock posters and Chris went above and beyond to get it right. One of them had been badly stored and had bubbled, Chris wouldn’t stop till it was done right, and it is AWESOME! So rip up those Michaels coupons and head over to Time Capsule… get it done right, for the right price, by an upstanding dude!

Needed to get a bunch of framing work done, went to a few places where they quoted me mighty expensive prices and charged for every little thing they did.
Anyways came to Time Capsule Framing, independently owned by this guy named Chris. He does all the work. He quoted me an extremely fair price. The work he did looks beautiful and done very quickly. Just a few day turn around.
I seriously cannot be happier and now I get to get all the things I need framed, framed without robbing my pockets.

I got my print back the same day framed! Great customer service and excellent quality.
