Consistent follow through, good communication, willingness to be flexible, and a good final result defines my experience with Tom and his crew. Our entire house in Genesee was repainted, including popcorn ceiling removal and drywall repair. Mike finished out the drywall repair with incredible skill, completing the project with attention to detail and an excellent result. Although the project wasn’t always easy or without frustration, I am recommending Tom Snyder for his ability to keep working on solutions for a good finished product. When it comes to drywall work and painting, especially popcorn removal, there are bound to be some issues that come up — otherwise do it yourself. This company stands by their work and makes it right — five stars Tom!

Tom Snyder Painting recently painted the coffee shop I work at. The crew got the job done quickly & they were very professional. The paint job looks beautiful – the lines are clean & straight, they did a great job making sure paint didn’t get on the trim or the floors. As an out-​of-​state property owner, I was at a loss of where to turn when I experienced an emergency at one of my rentals. I lucked out with Snyder Painting. Its owner, Tom Snyder, was punctual for our appointment and gave me advice and an estimate that was accurate and reasonable. He and his workers walked me through the water mitigation process after a major water leak. Snyder performed all the work as written in the bid, including how much time it would take.
My renters actually called me to compliment Tom and his crew for being so polite and willing to work with their schedules. They were in and out quickly, clean, friendly. In sort, total professionals.

Tom Snyder Painting recently painted the entire interior of my home including a lot of drywall and texture work. The crew was professional, polite, and really good at their work. Tom Snyder uses no sub crews which was something I absolutely did not want and something I asked about beforehand. I’ve had bad luck in the past with companies using sub crews.
Always punctual, really neat and orderly, communicated with me from start to finish, and happily obliged all my requests. Tom answers his phone always and keeps the project running smoothly giving me great peace of mind threat the entire project with is dedication and commitment. A thoroughly excellent paint job that has been admired by all my friends and family.

Terribly disappointed. Ray, who gave us our estimated made a lot of promises that were never delivered on. There was also items in the contract that were not executed. First, not all of the bare wood was sanded and primed. When I brought this up to Tom Synder he laughed at me and told me it was (he was not there to see if it was or not) even though I watched first hand while it wasn’t happening. As a matter of fact when my wife was watching the foreman come back to go through some of the final touch ups she mentioned that he should be priming and only after that did he get the primer. Second, the contract states that all of the surfaces shall receive two full and separate coats of paint. I mentioned this when the soffits of the house were being painted and the foreman said one coat was good enough.
The final straw that led me to this review was being hung up on by Tom when I called to mention that we were not happy.

Tom Snyder Painting was hired to repair a water damaged ceiling. (Note: roofing company corrected source of the leak).
Ray and Tom provided a detailed bid of all work required to correct the problem so we were confident any internal water damage would also be resolved.
The bid included a project start and target end date. ALL work completed in agreed timeframe and the work was exemplary.
Would definitely hire again and highly recommend.

Tom Snyder was great to work with. They were the best bid, and they did exceptional work. They even went the extra mile and replaced more wood on my house than I expected. The job was done by professional painters who were clean, courteous, organized and on time. Ray was great to work with bidding out the work. Tom was great to work with following through until the job was complete. These guys are real professionals. Will use again in the future.

Spoke with Tom himself who’s a really nice guy and they are trying to fix the situation. I will give 3 stars for now but will say that regardless of the outcome I do believe that the worker I originally had the issue with showed his true colors in some of the comments he made so there’s a ceiling to how much they can improve.

Tom Snyder Painting is an outstanding company. They recently painted the exterior of my 110 year old bungalow. Ray came out to the house to provide an estimate, and answered all of my questions. The painters, Eric and Taylor, were professional and thorough. Tom is an excellent communicator. He would touch base each day, letting me know what the painters would be accomplishing. He was always available by phone, and returned all my calls promptly, even on a Sunday. I am very happy with the craftsmanship Tom Snyder Painting provided and recommend this company without reservation.

I highly recommend Tom Snyder Painting. I purchased an older home in Englewood and hired them last minute to repaint the entire house and basement. They were able to fit me in and even put up with my movers moving all the furniture in the same day they started.
Ray came and gave the quote, and I also had great communication with Tom. Both Ray, Tom and Mike (the lead painter) were on time Saturday morning to begin work. Mike knew the movers would be arriving in the afternoon, so he wasted no time starting work on all of the ceilings, then moved to finishing the baseboards and moldings, etc. They ended up doing all ceilings, baseboards, moldings, doors, painted the front door, and sealed brick in the basement as well as painted basement floors. They were also nice enough to put up some minor dry-​wall in and paint the walls in the basement.
Overall, I am so glad they were able to fit me in and this was all money well spent. I got nothing but terrific service from the entire company, and they did a fantastic job. Thank you!

We hired Snyder Painting to paint the interior of our house. From the first contact, our experience was first-​rate. Ray, one of the owners, responded immediately to our request for an estimate; he and Tom, the other owner, showed up early for the first appointment; and was very professional and helpful. We received an estimate immediately and it was very reasonable for the services offered.
When the work began, Eric and Tim arrived on time every day; were very respectful and courteous all four days of the job; and they did a good job.

I called Tom and team to schedule an appointment for a full home interior paint job estimate. On the day of the appointment, he calls 30 minutes before the appointment to cancel because he’s too bust on another job.
Very professional, and great way to attract new customers. I guess my job was important enough for him and his company.

Tom’s team transformed my 1939 Tudor! From the plaster and trim work, to the hardware scrubbing, to the painting, to the clean up, everything was beautiful, on time, and on budget. Everyone was great to work with too. Definitely recommend.

Five Stars for Tom Snyder painting!
They did an all around great job! From Ray coming out to bid our home, he was prompt, through and professional. Ray also worked with me for the best possible outcome for the pealing paint on my aluminum siding. This included meeting the Benjamin Moore rep to discuss how to remedy it (it was really bad, I had gone too long between painting).
Next Tom, Mark and Shawn did a great job in painting our house. They were so courteous and offered to do things above and beyond anything I would have ever expected. They also were very nice and accommodating as I was making last minute changes.
In the end our house looks great! The price was reasonable and I really enjoyed working with the entire crew. I give them five stars and would highly recommend using them. Shoot, they were so good I would probably insist on someone using them. We even had a beer in-​front of our house, looking at our house, just to admire how nice it looks!:)

I hate writing reviews, but again had a WONDERFUL experience with Tom and Ray at Tom Snyder Painting. We found them right here on Unilocal and they did such a great job on our house I had to tell everyone.
Unlike some of the other painting contractors we attemped to use, we were able reach Ray immediately and he set a time for a quote immediately. He came out right away to look at the interior of the house. Not only was he extremely knowledgeable about what type of paints were needed, but he also made great suggestions on what shades of paint would look best on the walls vs the ceilings etc. We decided on the color and shades of paint and we eagerly awaited the crew.
They were due to start on Monday the 5^th. We went over to the house on the 4^th and the crew was already at work protecting our light fixtures and freshly refinished wood floor along with other prep work. They took care to take down all of our drapes and protected some speakers we had forgotten to remove. They were supposed to wrap things up on Saturday the 10^th, but I received a call from Tom on ⁵⁄₈. He said they were already finished and he was available for the walk thru. We went over to look at the house and it was absolutely beautiful. The walls and ceilings were perfectly blended and looked great. We had white trim on the baseboards, stair railings and doors and they were flawless. There were several dark accent walls they had painted over and there was NO trace of the old color even though we painted with a light tan. They even took care of a white railing outside that we had asked them to do last minute and that too looked great. The best part? There was not one drop of paint on my newly refinished wood floor and not one stray splatter to be found anywhere. I absolutely cannot imagine painting a 1500 sq foot interior with paint exactly where it belongs and not anywhere where it doesn’t. Thank goodness we had them paint.
They did an expert job, handled all my odd requests, finished two days ahead of schedule and did not charge ONE dime more than we agreed on to begin with (and the price was extremely reasonable for such an involved job). I could not be happier and will have them back the next time we are in need of painting services. Please use Tom and Ray at Tom Snyder Painting. I guarantee you won’t be disappointed!

Tom and Ray from Tom Snyder Paining were great to work with. They demonstrated patience as we picked out our paint colors and also offered up consultation. We hired them to remove popcorn ceilings and paint our entire interior of the house. They worked hard to meet our move-​in deadline (they were working till 2am one night). Tom was onsite leading his crew on a daily basis. The entire crew was friendly and courteous. The quality of their work and paint they provided were great. They will be the first to call on my next painting project. I felt they provided great value at a reasonable cost.

These guys were on time, did a wonderful job on our exterior of our house and would recommended them to anyone.

Our contractor sent Tom Snyder Painting to us to paint the exterior of our house after hail damage repair had been done. We probably would never have been so lucky as to have found them on our own.
I haven’t one negative thing to say about the experience. When they put a sample of the paint my husband and I had chosen, that the HOA had approved, it didn’t look anything like I expected. In fact it looked pink! I looked at it and looked at it. I’m rather indecisive in the best of times. Tom immediately offered to stop everything until I could choose a different color paint. He also contacted the person who had mixed the paint to find out what options there might be to add color to the existing paint. He was so kind and patient while I tried to think what to do. My husband was out of town, so it was up to me to decide. I finally said to go ahead with the color, hoping it would grow on me. It sort of has, but if necessary we’ll have them back to repaint. That was all our mistake and Tom was ready to do whatever it took to make it okay.
They were here when they said they’d be here. They covered everything that needed to be protected from paint drips. They did not play loud music (or any music that I heard). The other guys who worked with Tom were pleasant and polite.
When the job was just about done, Tom had me come out and do a walk around, to see if I could find anything wrong with the work. After they were completely finished we had another walk around, and I was encouraged to point out any spots that were missed when they sprayed the house. One of the assistants followed us around with a ladder, paint and a brush, and when a spot was found (usually by Tom, who is an absolute perfectionist) the assistant would take care of it immediately.
Would I hire them again? Definitely. I’ve already asked Tom to call us when it’s time to have the house repainted, since time goes so quickly. I would recommend Tom Snyder Painting to anyone and everyone.
Tom’s business partner is Ray Overfield. We dealt with him only in a limited way, but he’s great, too, so whichever one does the job, it’ll be done perfectly.
