I don’t get my nails done often and when I do this is the place to go! It’s a good price 50 bucks for an express mani and Pedi, other places charge more and just don’t do that good of a job. Tootsies is the place to get your nails done!

What a fabulous way to spend my lunch hour! I had Lindsay who paid such attention to detail, I can honestly say I’ve never had this great of a manicure. It’s perfect! And on top of the fabu gelish polish she did for me, I had an amazing time talking to her like she was an old friend. She is an amazing conversationalist and a magical story teller. I wanted to treat myself while here in Denver on vacation. Before coming out I searched on Unilocal to find a cute little nail salon with good service. I was happy that I could get a pedicure booked the next morning (I called them at 6pm) but, nervous, because how busy was this shop if they had an opening the next morning? So, I stayed open minded and took the chance. Upon my arrival to the area, the boyfriend took a little stroll down Gaylord street. I marveled at all the cute little stores. Excited with the uniqueness of the street it self; I was ready to get my polish on.
I was really shocked on how tiny this place was — shocked! While I’ll checked in for service I was asked to pick out my polish. There was two of us there and let me tell you, we were cramped. however, this being said it really was the only issue I had with this place. The treatment was great-​angel did my nails. Everything was sterile, one time use nail files and callus remover (I’ve never seen such a thing before). my water stayed warm and I was skeptical of that in the first place. My toes look AMAZING! My polish looks so shiny – glass like. I will go here again.

They don’t answer their phones, period. I have tried calling ALL THREE locations for an hour and no one answers. Not a good way to run a business, I’m afraid.

I love Tootsies! With my recent move, I’ve had to switch from the Tennyson shop to Gaylord, but the service is exactly the same. Love that I can book my appointments online now, and we don’t have to play the «what time works» game over the phone. I did notice that things tend to run behind just a smidge, but I appreciate that they don’t hurry through my appointment just because they are running behind.

Cute, trendy & clean little gem on Gaylord — they don’t do false nails, but instead work with what you already have.
Might need to iron out their newer online appointment scheduling… I had to punt (quickly) this last week when their online system didn’t take my request for some reason (even though I had my requested services added to the cart and hit Submit). I still like ‘em and will go back if I’m in the area.

I have only been to their Gaylord location, and I love it!
The shop is all about being sanitary, which is SUPER important to me.
The staff is well-​trained, friendly, and efficient!
I have never had the same nail tech twice, due to my own schedule, but that is no cut on them. Every tech I have had there, has been awesome!
Their price is reasonable, and they really do stick to their schedule, which is good. I have never waited more than a 3 or 4 minutes before I am seated and my services are started.
As my schedule permits, they are my regular nail shop, and I will not go anywhere else. :)
The only thing to be aware of, is parking. Parking can be an issue, depending on the time of day, but if you leave a few extra minutes you should be able to find street parking less than a block away, at most.

I’ve been to this location twice, courtesy of Groupon twice. I wasn’t even aware of Tootsies or the shopping area on Gaylord prior to the Groupon deal.
Both times I had a great experience. The first time, I went I had an express mani/​pedi. The express package is different than what I’m used to as the express is a quick manicure with some cuticle attention, filing and polish. That’s it, nothing less, but definitely nothing more. The premise of Tootsies is to get you in and out, which is great if you’re on a timetable, but sometimes a bit off-​putting, as they are very serious about a 15 minute manicure and if you’re late, you will need to reschedule, because they do not like to put their manicurists behind schedule.
The express package isn’t my favorite, but it’s the least expensive. Now if you happen to prefer the more luxe package and have time and money to spend, the spa manicure and pedicure are definitely the way to go.
I believe when I returned to the Gaylord location a second time, Chayanne was the nail technician that gave me a mani/​pedicure. While we didn’t have much to chat about, she was very quick and efficient at getting the job done. I felt that the pedicure was one of the best pedicures I’ve had that lasted over 4 weeks later, I was still rockin’ that pedi without even having to change the color and that includes a weekly hour swim workout in the pool.
Tootsies definitely believes in being very sanitary and uses fresh files for every manicure. A great place to get a manicure and the shop is friendly and personable. Parking is hard to come by in this trendy area and be sure to arrive early.

I came here with some girlfriends for our annual college roomie reunion. The salon is adorable, the neighborhood is adorable and the staff was really nice. They didn’t look at all annoyed by all the squealing and loud ttalking that happens at these little get togethers of ours. But as far as my mani goes, it was really mediocre at best, more like a glorified, expensive polish change. However, I live in San Francisco and am used to getting the bang for my buck as far as nail salons go, so take this review for what its worth.

My friend and I wanted a Sunday pedicure so we booked at tootsies. They were really great. Cheyanne did my nails and they look amazing. My feet are so soft and did I mention my nails look amazing? I loved how she had such attention to detail.
The salon itself was not what I expected but I really didn’t know what to expect. Funky upbeat everyone seemed happy and that mood was infectious. My friend and I left so happy with our nails and made a pact to start coming back for our next pedicure as well.

So I really would rather give these guys 3.5 stars but that’s not an option and since there wasn’t anything BAD about the experience I went up to 4 rather down to 3 stars.
Two of my best friends were in town for a girls weekend without their husbands and kids which was very exciting and we thought that pedicures would be a good relaxing thing to do. I booked them earlier in the week and when we got there we were a bit early so we went across the street to Devil’s Food (awesome! will review later) for a snack. Came back to Tootsie’s picked out our colors and we were seated in the back.
The technicians were super nice, chatty but amongst themselves and efficient. I love that the tools are new and clean and the atmosphere was relaxing. I had a bad pedicure experience last time I got my toes done (elsewhere) and was a little more jumpy than usual but the technician was great, gentle and really listened when I told her what had happened and paid particular attention to the tender spots on my feet. Mine started a bit later than the other two girls but we all got nice pedicures and headed up front to pay.
Here’s where my issue lies, it was $ 45 for the «spa» pedicure and while I’m happy to pay for a good pedicure all this involved was some scrubbing, a sugar scrub, a leg massage and my feet sitting in a lukewarm tub of water. For $ 45 I want a paraffin wax and some love! Perhaps I’m spoiled by Chicago pedicures where I don’t pay as much and get great pedicures but I don’t think I can do my summer twice a month pedicure at $ 45 plus tip. I loved the atmosphere, the experience and my feet look nice but I’m not sure I’ll be coughing up the money here again.

I am a Denver native and went to college in Boulder. In Boulder I found a nail salon to die for (if you’re up there, go to Ten 20). After moving back to Denver, I was bummed that I couldn’t find a place just dedicated to nails (not hair, massages etc… also). I finally found Tootsies and have never looked back!
First and foremost, let me just say that Tootsies is clean. They are an incredibly sanitary shop that never re-​uses a file and they don’t use the jet bubblers for pedicures that have been shown to spread foot diseases.
Second, Tootsies keeps me coming back with an amazing staff that is both hilarious and helpful. Everytime I go in, its like walking into Cheers, «everyone knows your name». Kent is the stylist I had for my first manicure over a year ago, and I’ve made sure to go back almost bi-​weekly (the mani can last THAT long) to catch up, get a mani/​pedi, and share some laughs. He always does impeccable shaping and my nails always look shiny and fantastic. My pedicure (even after a week in Mexico on the sand) still looked brand new and perfect.
As if I couldn’t say enough good things about this place, let me say one more thing: I have brought nearly every woman I know into this shop. Even friends that live far south (in Castle Rock) who have said they would never drive that far for a manicure, have started regularly stopping in Tootsies. they’ve all fallen in love with this place and Kent, Honey and Alex.
Though they have gotten a little busy lately, thanks to a wildly successful «Groupon» that went out, they still make me feel like a friend and special everytime I walk in. Be sure to make appointments for weekends.
Do yourself a favor and stop by for a great mani/​pedi. I guarantee you’ll end up needing one of their «Buy 10 get your 11^th manicure free» punch cards you’ll like it so much!

This place was very cute and upbeat, the service friendly and fast, and I can’t wait to return again. When I couldn’t get the exact service I wanted due to time constraints, the woman who performed my manicure offered some great suggestions and I ended up with a better manicure than what I had planned. I was impressed. Not the most relaxing atmosphere, but trendy and fun.

What a cute little salon! I had no idea this place existed, but then I got a Groupon and decided to check it out today.
I made an appointment, as all the other reviews and the website emphasized, and when I showed up they were running a bit behind, but they took me in the back with the girls that were already in process to join in the conversation.
Corey was a fantastic nail tech. She was very precise and my nails have never looked so good. I accidentally bumped one of my nails into the table on my way out and she was quick to fix it and made sure it was back up to standard before sending me on my way.
The prices are a little higher than the other salons I’ve been to, but honestly, you get what you pay for. I would much rather be charged a little more for a higher quality product that lasts me more than a few hours. I will definitely be going back!

I had a Spa Manicure with Alex this afternoon at the Wash Park location, and she did a fantastic job. I love the décor! This «Shoppe» was smaller than I expected, but they have it set up to make the most of their space.
The atmosphere is relaxed, and Alex was incredibly friendly. I called a a few hours ahead of time to make an appointment, and was able to get in within 2 hours of calling. I snagged a latte from Devil’s Food across the street (one of my favorite places for brunch, and the best Eggs Benedict in Denver) before my appointment, which was incredibly convenient. I was able to grab street parking relatively easily, and I ended up but a few steps from the door.
After Alex was finished, Emily came to spray some drying solution on my nails, and coat my cuticles with some oil. I was a bit nervous about leaving with my nails so fresh, but Emily was an absolute doll, and offered to get my keys and sunglasses out of my bag for me. I’m used to be able to stay for a while under a «drying» machine of some sorts, but they don’t have this kind of situation. My nails still look great (and I didn’t smudge them getting into my car), so I am tres content.
I decided to splurge a bit with the Spa Manicure ($ 30) so I could experience the paraffin wax treatment and massage. My hands do feel soft and moisturized, but I probably will just do the Express Manicure next time around for $ 15.
I’m planning to return to get a pedicure. They really take their time, and have the most adorable turquoise bowls instead of the jet baths. I can tell this place has a ton of regulars: a few people came in and made appointments while I was in there.
I would definitely recommend Tootsies if you want a little more personal, friendly experience when you go get a manicure or pedicure. I don’t get these done too often, so the little extras make it that much more of an out-​of-​the-​ordinary experience.
Tip: They prefer cash or checks for payment.
Tidbit: My wedding photographer, Julie Harris, shot all the photography for their website. She is amazing for weddings, engagement shoots, portraits, etc. Her shooting style with Tootsie’s vibe is a great marriage.

I was in Denver for the day visiting a friend and Unilocaled the closest decent Nail Salon. I stumbled into an adorable nail haven.
I am a huge Audrey Hepburn/​Breakfast at Tiffany’s fan and the salon design is inspired by the movie, the walls are even Tiffany Blue.
The salon squeezed me in without an appointment. Memory gave me a perfect Express pedicure and had great energy. Highly recommended!
I’ll be back when I’m in town.

I now understand why this place is so popular among the Unilocal community. I was able to get a same day appointment for a spa manicure which includes a hand massage and paraffin treatment. My manicurist, Alex, was very friendly and professional. I really enjoyed talking with her and she did a very good job.
Tootsies is a great asset to the South Gaylord Street business district. It’s pleasant and clean and they are serious about keeping the work environment sterile. Tootsies is a cut above the standard quickie nail salon. Although more expensive, you get what you pay for.

Absolutely great place. I woke up this morning and decided to get a pedi and mani. I had had a hard work week consisting of 12hour days. So Tootsies showed up and everyone raved about the place. I gave it a shot.
1. Call and make an appointment. I repeat, CALL and make an appointment. You can even have a same day appointment. They can do walk ins but that means either squeezing you in or giving you a later time, so just call, they open at 10 AM.
When you go to Tootsies bring slippers if you get a pedi! I repeat bring slippers! Don’t worry about how you’re going to slip them on your feet, they’ll do it for you. Not kidding!
2. This place is CLEAN. As Corey, my technician, did my pedi, I watched as she changed out the file and put a fresh one on. In other salons, ages ago, I would squirm when the techs would place the tools in a sanitation glass… euuuughhh. Tootsies techs know their job, what they’re doing and they pay attention to detail and are perfectionists.
3. Everyone gets along with each other and it’s a buzz with conversations. Feel free to chime in, seriously.
4. No fake nails! I had stopped getting fake nails yearsssss ago. They’re damaging. No fake nails = no nauseating smells which was a plus because I had a migraine from hell.
6. When you get a spa mani and/​or pedi, it includes a massage (I really needed it, especially my feet), paraffin dip (for hands), cuticle work… I mean I got the works! And not solely your hands/​feet but your forearms and calves.
7. The polish goes on so perfect! Why can’t this happen at home!!! And so shiney!
Props to Mary… that woman is working hard doing all the side chores and with a smile!
Overall, this is not your run of the mill mall salon where you’re just another person that needs something done. People take their time here and are obviously proud of their work and the salon.

I had my first Tootsies mani/​pedi today, and it was great. I had a spa pedicure with Kent, and he was thorough and detailed, and gave a great massage. He did a perfect job with my nails and gave me great instructions on how to make the polish last for as long as possible. He was also really friendly and took his time even though I was the last appointment of the day and I’m sure he was ready to get home.
The salon is cute and funky, very clean, and several steps up from a mall salon where nobody speaks English. It costs a little more than those mall places but it was totally worth the price. And they have a loyalty card where if you get ten manicures you get the eleventh free. I will definitely be back!

Hip and sterile is how I would describe Tootsies. No jets in the foot baths means no bacteria in your water, and all the tools they use on you from files to snippers are sterilized.
I also have my eyebrows waxed here, and they do a great job. I never knew how to do my own, and would just wing it, until they taught me the rules of eyebrows. Now I just leave it up to them!
