Attended campus for a week long summer class and loved the location. It is within walking distance of downtown which is great for grabbing coffee on the way to class.
The food at the cafeteria isn’t top notch but is better than some other locations I’ve tried.
Stairs had good natural light and were conveniently located so that you could easily take stairs instead of the elevator without losing time or being late.

I cant speak for the school, b/​c i didnt go there. I am writing this in regards to graduation ceremony which i thought was done in the cheapest, cow hearding, spend the least amount of money possible setting. Being the person that paid out of pocket for wifes school, i saw very little appreciation for the students and the people that pay thousands of dollars. On thy other hand, the people that get paid the most in the school faculty got plenty of recognition while they put 3 schools together, thousand of students, and herded them threw quickly. The family and friends were strectched out for about an acre with one small screen to watch and some ants off in the distance. Pictures were asked not to be taken (too far away anyways) and pro pictures will be taken for every student. They did not say that pics would cost 100 $ plus.

Really great school. I’m in the film program and just enjoy all my professors and feel like every semester I get the ability to be creative and learn industry standard. Equipment is a little older but appears they are looking to improve that soon and at least they teach you how to use it. I’ve notice the projects we do are quality over quantity. Definitely recommend this school over any other film program offered in colorado!

This is a great university with many amenities, no doubt. The gym is nice and there are more sports and clubs and extra activities being added each year. I’ve even heard rumors of Greek life being added soon! Exciting things are happening here!

Urban learning — gotta appreciate it. In the heart of the city this university offers a wide variety of programs for both undergraduate and graduate coursework. The campus is shared with Metro State University and the Community College of Denver so the environment is very conducive with learning. I like all the different kinds of buildings and classrooms scattered about the downtown area.
Parking can be somewhat of a chore but generally if you are on campus you can find a pay lot with plenty of space. The Tivoli parking lot almost always has availability. The Tivoli student center is pretty cool — just what you would expect. Food, shops, support offices, etc. It’s a one stop shop for sure… but that’s a review for another day.
I’m really not a fan of the less-​than-​knowledgeable Bursar’s office. They always seemed to give me the run-​around. Pain in the neck. Also, the health clinic is less than helpful. Talk about an uphill battle. These two offices are a nightmare to get a straight answer from so therefore — this review is only three stars.
However, all of the teaching faculty that I had the pleasure of working with were top notch and great people. Students are here to learn, not just have «the college experience.» This is a place where people from all walks of life can change themselves into something bright. There is a wide variety of students which means you gotta learn about diversity. Depending on what your needs are, there’s most likely a program for you here. Love this city!

I’m biased, k? Not only did I get a degree from here, I am also currently employed by them.
This school is a terrific option for the «non-​traditional» student. Anyone who might need to work FT but wants to further their education should get some information about the available programs. Many classes are offered on weekends and evenings. Campus is easily accessible via light rail and bus (parking is prohibitively expensive). It’s also nice to have several schools on one campus. Those who are early on in their degree might shop around for classes. As far as I remember, tuition was pretty reasonable.
As an employee, I’ve found the staff assistance to be excellent. My biggest complaint is the use of too many IT systems to track the different components of the educational experience (registration, email, online course components, etc).

Just got here from WMU for the Grad Programs in Economics. Couldn’t be happier wit the faculty, staff, and facilities. Definitely the right move.

UC Denver is not a usual campus. You will have classmate from 20s to 60s, which can be a good thing. You can learn from each other and know more about the real world rather than just party around.
Campus is really close to downtown shopping mall. And also lots of good restaurants around. Campus is tiny, but you can get almost everything. Don’t expect college cafeteria here, you can only get Mcd and Subways.
Overall, it’s a good school to go to. Hope it will get more better professors and higher ranking in the future.

I hold three degrees from this university and I can agree with most of the pros and cons of this campus.
I have had to ask myself over the years why I went to college. With the years since I have gone I think I have gained some perspective that has lead me to really respect this campus.
The wrong way to go to college is to just go there to collect credit hours, then graduate and get your hands on your diploma, and then get out. That way, quite honestly, is a waste of money. You will get out of the University with a degree, but big deal, a ton of people in Colorado have degrees.
The proper way to do the University is to see it as a great way to network with the next generation of leaders and business professionals in Denver. There are student organizations, join them. Hell, I joined student government, which was fun, kinda. All those Metro State and CCD students, just more people to network with. That is the true value of the University, the people that you know and the doors that that opens.
I love this campus (much more than Boulder). I plan on going back for my Masters in Finance. I’m a member of the Alumni Association.
You really can get a world class education here, for much less than Boulder, and you get all the social activities that you care to make for yourself.
As an aside, your student ID is your pass for RTD and Light Rail. Use them. Parking can really suck on the campus.

This fall, I will be applying as a transfer student from UCD to somewhere better. I will attend UCD for one more year, and say ciao.
The Pro’s:
+In the Metro-​Close to everything. 10 minute walk to 16^th street where you can go anywhere downtown via free mall ride.
+Walk-​able Campus, can get from one side to the other in under 15 minutes.
+Because it is a commuter/​nontraditional campus, they have super convenient class times. I personally like to shove all of my [18 credit] classes into two days. Examples of my previous schedules: M/​W 8A-4:45P this semester and T/​TH 8A-3:15 my upcoming semester. 5 Classes in two days is pretty nifty.
+Great instruction. I don’t have a class that I dislike, or an instructor who doesn’t care.
+Decent class sizes, you can receive in class help if needed.
+Writing Center-​Love this place. They are so incredibly helpful. A true diamond in the rough.
+Good selection of food at the Tivoli. You won’t starve if you forget your lunch! There is a whole food court in the bottom level. Great coffee shop in there as well.
+Because it is a commuter campus, the lightrail and bus system make it really easy to get to class FOR FREE.
The Con’s:
–In the Metro-​Unsafe campus environment. There is a ton of crime on campus. DO NOT WALK ALONE to your car or across campus past 5PM. Someone was robbed at knife point in the King Center about a month ago.
–Bike regulations-​No, you can’t ride you’re bike on campus (you’ll get a ticket)
–The Financial Aid Office-​Disaster. They need someone to wipe their noses for them. The department never has their forms on time, the front desk can’t answer questions… they are impossible. SAVE TIME AND TALK TO A FINANCIAL AID COUNSELOR. Even then, good luck, they rarely have answers about forms, deadlines or numbers.
–The Bursar’s Office-​KNOW NOTHING, and rudest people you will ever meet. I have never spoken to a person who didn’t role their eyes at me. (If you don’t like your job, or can’t find a way to enjoy it, get out. You are a ruiner.)
–Scholarship Office-​No Help, Know nothing. Even my adviser told me to avoid seeking help from them (that’s a huge problem)
–Required to live in the wretched CVA as a freshman under the age of 21 (separate review). However, I must say the concept of this to me is ridiculous. I view required dormitory living as necessary when we are on a traditional campus, they want you to get involved, and there are multiple options for on campus living. There is ONE place that you are REQUIRED to live at when they do little to nothing to bring the campus together as a community, and do nothing but rip you off ($ 10,000/10 months to share a room with someone and not have a stove. You do the math and see what kind of money you would save being elsewhere.) Again, there is a separate review for this place.
–Combined Campus-​Metro, CCD and UCD all in one. Results in lack of community and unfair classes (In one of my UCD lectures, I have met CCD and Metro students who are paying way less for their instruction than I am, even though it is of equal value.) This is extremely annoying, mainly for UCD students who are paying way more for the same education.
–Non-​traditional campus-​When I did my tour and spoke with students, they made it seem like there were lots of activities to do, campus events, etc. There isn’t even a Spanish club here, let alone a good variety of other general clubs to join or get involved in. I am very disappointed in the lack of college community, as most of the students are «mature» and coming back to their education past their early twenties.
–Homeless people. Seriously everywhere. I don’t go to the library anymore because the homeless will be sleeping and cleaning up in there.
–Library is embarrassing. I study anywhere BUT. There is construction going on, and there are hardly ever tables available. (Unless you go on a Saturday, but again, the homeless inhabit.)
–Surveyors/​Donation Collectors are inescapable on any given nice day. We are college students. We are poor. Get off of our campus that we pay too much for, and leave us alone, please.
*Not an ideal college for students under the age of 25
*DO NOT LIVE AT CVA. FIGHT AGAINST IT.
*Avoid the library.
*Be safe on campus. Carry pepper spray.

Good school with a great location to Downtown Denver. The campus itself is just across Speer Blvd (a huge and high traffic street), but there are a couple buildings that are on 14^th St. right alongside the rest of downtown. The unique feature about this school is that it is in the same location and works alongside Community College of Denver, Metro-​State University, and University of Colorado, Denver. As a graduate student at University of Colorado Denver, I am biased to the school, but it does give me the opportunity to have had numerous experiences with this campus. I would recommend it!

Higher Education located in the Heart of Downtown.
I took a campus tour when I was visiting hubby’s folks in Denver this past April, since I plan to attend the Master’s Program when we move to Denver. Being from California, I was astonished to see a University adjacent to a downtown, urban area, as well as a Community College, a Four-​Year College, and a major University all located on the same campus. Revolutionary!
I like that many historical sites have been preserved or recycled so well, such as a Synagogue redone to be an art gallery, a Catholic church converted into a special events center and fossil museum, a preserved part of the original town buildings, and Golda Meir’s house that she lived in when she resided in Denver.
I am very much looking forward to attending UCD in the future.
