Wikipita

While taking a walk through the 16^th Street mall we ran into this cute little hut that sells pita sandwiches. This place is a must try.
They have Falafel, Grilled Chicken, Crispy Chicken, etc.
I ended up with the grilled chicken because the Crispy Chicken was sold out!!! Which is their best seller. The grilled chicken taste so amazing!!! It definitely had that charcoal taste like it’s fresh from the grill yet it was extremely soft and flavorful. The sauce they used to compliment the chicken was incredible a little spicy but nothing over bearing.
The workers here are extremely nice they were very happy to be serving their customers.
Don’t by pass this place while strolling through the Denver Mall it’s a must stop!

When I used to work downtown a year or so ago I would frequent this place. Such nice people who remember you, and you can’t beat a decent sized pita with a drink for under 10 bucks. After only working at one of my jobs near them one day a week and living on the other side of town I don’t get the chance to eat here as much as I used to. I was so glad that I was able to have one after work today.
It’s so awesome to see how far they’ve come and I wish them all the best. Seriously, if you want a good pita sandwich with a smile get it at Wikipita.

I’ve been a regular at Wikipita for about 1 year now. It was awesome to see them grow from the tiny cart to the not-​as-​tiny stand they are in now! The food is good, really good. The service is fantastic. Every time I go for a pita I have to make the hard decision between the Pita Manning and Pita Griffin — granted I love chicken, but their falafel is hard to beat! Stop by, enjoy some of the beats (the frequently have music playing), friendly team and delicious pitas!

Strolling by on 16^th street mall. We ordered the pita manning. Smelled it from afar and we had to try it. Chicken Shawarma meat grilled. Really delicious but I had to cut it down a star because it didn’t have much meat in it for having taken a while to cook. But it was good. I would like to try the pita griffin and the pita Parker the next time.

Happy folks, great food, decent prices ($ 7.50 for a sizeable pita) and quick if you avoid the 11:45 — 1:30 lunch rush.
They’re also open until 6pm now starting for the summer. Much better and lets me go down at 2:30 with no line and be back in the office in 10 minutes.

Real Israeli food on 16^th street mall. The flavors are spot on, and the veggies are fresh. You can taste and smell the freshness. The chicken schnitzel, French fries and falafel were all fried fresh after I ordered. Sitting out there in the sun with a Schnitzel pita brought me back to my time in Tel Aviv, and that’s what I love most about authentic cuisine. Easily my choice for best Middle Eastern/​Mediterranean food in Denver. The stand was clean, the food was great, and the guy running the show is very friendly.

Very good food. Went there for lunch so it was pretty busy and had to wait for 20 minutes, but it is def worthwhile.

I had both the Pita Parker (falafel) and Brad Pita (chicken) while visiting Denver this week. Both sandwiches were fantastic. The staff was very friendly, and recognized me when I made my second trip. I would definitely recommend the spicy option if you can handle a little spice. In all, some of the best Middle Eastern food I’ve ever had.

I tried Wikipita yesterday after walking by it sometime and getting a rave review from a friend and fellow Unilocaler. Pitas are probably one of if not my favorite food so I like to think of myself as kind of an expert. Haha.
I got the half Brad Pita, the chicken with Mediterranean spices, veggies, hummus, and the tomato garlic sauce. I also opted for the hot sauce on top. The pita was delicious and so full of flavor! It was different than a normal Greek style pita, but I liked that about it. The half size was a perfect amount of lunch and I thought $ 5.00 was a pretty good deal.
The wait was less than five minutes and the people working there were so nice!
The reason for the loss of one star was the french fries. I ordered fries as well because I think Mediterranean food places tend to have really good fries. These fries were just slightly underdone. Not bad but they could have gone for a minute or two longer in the frier and been a bit better seasoned. They were quite pale and didn’t have the crispy outside/​soft inside. Also, I thought for the amount and quality that $ 3.00 for fries was a little steep. It’s possible I got a bad batch so I will definitely try again and update my rating if need be.
Overall, I really enjoyed Wikipita and am excited to have a delicious small business to support near by office. Keep up the good work!
Update: I went again and ordered fries. This time I asked them to cook them just a little longer and they were much better!

I stopped during lunch hours and got the falafel wrap. The wrap was comparatively small, but tasted amazing.
They always had a smile and I prefer to get my food from happy people.
One tiny thing is — it would be great if they could give a bag for the wrap so that it’s easier to carry. They might have given me a bag of I asked but not sure bcos I didn’t ask.

I lived in Saudi Arabia for ten years growing up so hummus is very much comfort food to me. This is without a doubt the best, most authentic hummus I have had outside of the Middle East.

Whoa… was not expecting this from a food stand. the pita was so soft, the humus delectable and the falafel is just the way I like it, slightly crunchy on the outside but almost creamy in the middle.
This place rocks!

I would have never known about this place if it wasn’t for Unilocal,so Thank You UnilocalERS lol. It is a teeny tiny stand on 16^th, and I mean teeny. I feel they have to have height/​weight restrictions to work here, that’s how small it is Lol
I come here for lunch when I want something cheap and filling, but won’t make me feel guilty or gross the rest of the day. It’s like $ 6 – 7 for a regular sized pita that’s full of veggies and meat of your choice. I love this place!
Tip: the only time I haven’t seen a line is when I get there at like 11AM… Also, if you mention you have to walk back to your office, they will wrap it in extra foil and give you a bag!

Definitely A-​OK.
I won’t frequently wait in like for 40 minutes for a gyro, but their pitas might be worth the wait… Maybe… The rest of the meal was fine, nothing special, but the pitas they use… They’re the softest, lightest, gooeyish-​est pitas I’ve ever come across. It’s exactly the way a pita should be.
Prices are fair. Pita’s are great. Other shit is OK, but waiting 40 minutes for cart food after you’ve ordered is…

5 stars is for the falafel pita (only one I’ve tried), and 1 star removed because fries aren’t as good as the pitas. Super friendly staff… just 2 peeps crammed in a trailer. Quick service if you miss the busy time when there is a line. One of the best pitas I’ve had, and the falafel aren’t dry and over fried like some. Try it out!

Food truck + Middle Eastern flavours + Tahini + 16^th street convenience = Winner Winner Chicken Dinner! Ok, so I didn’t actually eat dinner here (breakfast AKA The Popeye Pita) but you know what I mean!
I recently visited Denver and this little gem of a local food truck (I ALWAYS support local whenever possible) was right outside my hotel as we ventured out to explore the city. I have to admit that I was drawn to the falafel pita, but we were too early for the lunch menu, but decided to give it a try. I was NOT disappointed!
The pita was filled with freshly cooked eggs, spinach, and a yummy combination of potatoes, tahini, and fresh herbs all nestled in delicious homemade pita! All for around $ 5! I would have given a well-​deserved 5 stars, but I did have to wait about 15 minutes for my Middle Eastern goodness. I would also recommend they serve a spoon or fork with the sandwich because it is so jam-​packed full I couldn’t fit it in my (rather large) mouth! So, jump on that food truck band wagon and give it a go! You won’t be disappointed!

Honestly, I was not a fan. I stopped by Wikipita for lunch one afternoon when I was on the 16^th Street Mall. The owners/​operators of this street vendor could not have been nicer. That said, their food was disappointing and for $ 8 was overpriced for the amount and quality of food that was offered.
I went with the Pita Griffin platter based on the owner’s suggestion. It is a fried chicken breast patty served alongside a pita, falafel and your typical middle eastern sides (hummus, veggies, etc.). The chicken had OK flavor but the amount of meat was tiny. My other issue is that the pita looked, felt and tasted like it came out of a bag. It simply didn’t hit the spot.

Gave this place another go… the first time I went we waited 15 – 20 minutes and left because it was taking too long and they didnt have any system for who was where in line.
Glad i went back because it was very delicious. Definitely not the fastest foodtruck… there were about 5 people in front of us and we waited about 10 minutes for our food. Guys were nice enough though– I’ll be back.

Great food cart found on Denver’s well-​known 16^th Street Mall. I got this on the day I arrived to Denver and was quite hungry. Having arrived a bit after lunchtime, my stomach was begging me for nourishment. What better way to satisfy my hunger than some local street food?
I waited behind a group of maybe 4 – 5 guys and knew that I would have to wait accordingly. These guys looked young and active, which had me suspecting that they probably ordered a lot of food. I was right. The cart is smaller than a food cart so the group of guys blocked my view of the menu. Once I was in a position to see it, I was immediately asked what I would like but I wasn’t ready! So to help me, one of the two young guys working the window told me that the grilled chicken was extra yummy that day so I went with his recommendation. I probably waited about 7 – 8 minutes but it was worth it. First because I was starving, but secondly because the pita was stuffed with grilled chicken, veggies, tahini, hummus, and hot sauce. I opted out of having french fries stuffed inside, as I thought overeating would just hold me back from roaming with my camera.
I walked with my pita and luckily had napkins to keep spillage in check. Wrap-​like sandwiches are definitely one of the most portable foods that permit you to keep active while simultaneously filling you up. If I am back in Denver, which I hope will be the case, I would not mind grabbing a quick and haulable meal from Wikipita. And c’mon, the name has to have you wondering just a bit.
