Super nice staff. Great beer selection. Waiting for a train and decided to pop in for an early dinner. The only thing that truly sucked is the Shrimp Po Boy. Now, as a child of The Chesapeake Bay, I understand the dangers of anything from the sea in a land locked state… but the shrimp was Vandykamp. No Shit. Straight out of the bag. $ 14.00 sandwich and they have the balls to serve frozen shrimp, breaded in some factory half way round the world… sad.

Really simple review… This is one of the best, most authentic, and truly genuine brew pubs in the country.
I was a regular here for many years, when out on business travel. Unfortunately, it’s been almost a decade since my last visit. Finally returned, and it’s like ‘home’. All new names and faces, of course, but the extensive list of fine craft brews and a diverse menu remain the same.
Ordered a simple bison burger, as I explored the beer options. The burger was perfect. Didn’t order sides (saving room for more beer). Ended up staying later than planned, met some of the kitchen guys, when they clocked out. Talked about everything from food prep, to weather patterns, to classical philosophy
Biggest lesson learned, was that I really REALLY miss this amazing brew pub, located in one of the best cities in the country, staffed by some of the best people I could ever hope to meet.

Wynkoop has some great history in a beautiful building. It’s a multi-​level establishment with elaborate woodwork everywhere. The prices were decent, and they have a wide array of house and local beers.
We got a beer flight and the bartender ended up giving us a few extra samples because they have so many of their own beers there. The pulled pork nachos were amazing and had huge chunks of pork. I have to get pretty much every meal I eat wrapped up to go, but we actually demolished these nachos then and there.
Service at the pool table level bar was great and their beer was good, there’s likely something for everyone.

We had our family and friends celebrating a college gradation in Denver this last weekend. We called to make reservations and they advised us that no reservations were taken it was first come first serve, which was fine with us. We went to dinner with a party of 12, they couldn’t accommodate us downstairs but sent us upstairs, there was a gentlemen that stamped our wrist as we entered no id required, there were numerous large tables that were empty but they said they were «reserved» however they did get us a table towards the side of the pool tables.
While waiting my daughter arrived and for whatever reason they said she was not allowed upstairs without her id. She explained that she was meeting her family and would like to let us she had to go back to the hotel to get it. When she approached the table she was shaken by the way they approached her at the top of the stairs and then at my request I asked her to look at the menu and pick something while she went back to the hotel to get her id. The «manager» than came and abruptly told her she had to leave because she didn’t have her id, she wasn’t sitting, she wasn’t ordering alcohol and I then said he didn’t have to be so aggressive that we were just trying to figure out what she would order and then he started on me.
This man needs to be reprimanded, he clearly isn’t suited to be working with the public! He had people escort us out as if we wanted to stay after that treatment. He defiantly created a ruckus, our family just wanted to go have an enjoyable dinner in celebration of our graduate.

Ive never been here, thank you for asking. It does look good. I’ll never go to Colorado.

Awful management! They were so rude! There was a group of 12 people, not drinking, and they treated us like crap! I would not waste my time at this brewery. definitely better brewerys in the Downtown Denver area with a more friendly and outgoing waitstaff.

Good food, good beer decent service amazing location.
Went here after a game and was busy as expected. However, perhaps they weren’t tracking the make up game with the Pirates (11 – 5 Rocks. go Rockies!) and they were short staffed. We were with great company and the beers and food were great but, we would have ordered more if we have had a bit more attention.
And, it was hotter than two rat’s in a wool sock… in the jungle. After getting smoked out sitting in the sun for 3 hours, a bit of AC would have been nice.
Don’t take this as a poor review. I chock it up to not knowing there was a game. We will absolutely return and I think you should too!

Exceptionally average brewery. There are much better breweries. Also, a 9 dollar 15oz. flight? Really? Want to join the ranks of the great breweries? Charge $ 1 per 3 oz. and $ 2 per 3 oz. for special brews. And for Pete’s sake, allow flight substitution. Who do you think you are? Get with it Wynkoop.

On the afternoon on 29 May, 2016. A good group of friends and I embarked on what i would see as the most enthusiastic, well thought, planned, and professionally coordinated brew tour ive ever seen. Since living in Colorado i have done approximitley 26 brew tours, and this was by far the best. Our tour guide patrick was a gracious host, whos passioned fumed from him when talking about the beers he works around everyday.
The beer was as plentiful as the information, and the wealth kf knowledge Patrick had was obviously not from just working here, but buy years of passion he has poured into his craft.
I would highly recommend this establishment to anybody who enjoys the art, as well as the astounding science, that is craft brewing.

5÷14÷2016− Conveniently located right in front of Union Station, we couldn’t pass it up. It is a beautiful brewery and quite spacious. Three stories, bottom floor where the facilities were, main floor it’s the bar and restaurant space, upstairs is sort of a game room with pool tables and darts and another big bar. I can’t imagine this place getting packed. There is also a huge party room and some separate private rooms.
We looked over their beer menu and we were looking to sample a few beers. I was disappointed the only beer flight was the NERD FLIGHT, All Saison Beers, and there are NO SUBSTITUTIONS. We did not order any food on this visit but from what I saw it is mostly bar food. There are plenty of TV’s by the bar.
The experience as a whole was just OK. The bar service was not too friendly, the beers lacked flavor and the place just lacked energy compared to other breweries in the area.

We stopped in at Wynkoop Brewing Co. after visiting Union Station. I didn’t expect it to be such a large place. They have bars both downstairs and upstairs plus a ton of pool tables and darts upstairs.
They have a large selection of beers: 13 of their own and 12 guest taps plus liqueur. We didn’t try food but they have a pretty big menu.
I had the Cowtown Milk Stout, one of my friends had the Colorajo Imperial and one had the Nerd Flight that consist of three different Saisons.
The milk stout was dark and creamy and pretty good. The Saisons were sour but tasty.
It’s a cool place to stop in for a beer or maybe lunch. They have outdoor seating if the weather is nice.

Was here for a special event with a group. bar setup is nice. very roomy and spacious. much larger than expected. tried several beers light, ipa, red and a dark. the beer just lacked flavor in my opinion. the ipa was actually flat. also the service was horrible. asked for several different types of beers and all I got was an evil look from the bartender who stated we are out of that. I asked 3 times and got the same look and answer. I finally said well what do u have. I mean it is a brewery after all. u really shouldn’t run out of 3 beer flavors on a Thursday night. food was ok and was a bit bland and lacked a real kick. I would save your money and go elsewhere. there are plenty of other breweries in the area that I’m sure will be nicer and have beer in stock and has flavor.
pass on this one. will not return.

Got a few tasters here… holy cow, they are $ 3.25/each. If I’m paying that much for little 4-​ounce pours, I better be getting some exquisite craft beer. Sadly, it was mostly average to below average beer and extremely overpriced. The only beer that I kind of enjoyed here was their Patty’s Chile beer. The tables by the bar were pretty dirty too… maybe they are gradually going for a dive bar theme?
We made five brewery stops in Denver, and sadly, Wynkoop was the only one that fell short.

Great selection of beer, reasonably priced drinks, casual and chatty environment, and an upstairs with lots of fun games. Our server was extremely friendly and personable, and he gave our table amazing service.

I ended up on a spontaneous night in Denver. We’d had a couple of cocktails and before we knew it… Dinner time had passed and we needed food. It was 9pm and Wynkoop didn’t have a wait time and they were super friendly. We got more cocktails/​beer, and I split the meatloaf with a friend. And they brought it split in 2 plates. The food was delicious, a little salty for my tastes, but I would definitely go again.

Top notch Moscow mules from Wynkoop. We tried all 3 styles and the cinna mule was by far the best. The other ones were pretty good but not all that amazing.
I highly recommend the cinna mule if you come here and the one with whiskey was pretty tasty as well.
We tried the calamari here too and it was killer! Great sauces for it and the breading was done lightly which was very enjoyable.

According to the Denver Biz journal Wynkoop & Breckenridge Brewery had a partnership for a few years where they invested in the 27 million dollar expansion. Forward to last year once the brewery was complete, according to the President of Breck., he was out voted to (Sell Out) to InBev a Belgium company and owner of Budweiser. Noting Wynkoop didn’t want to be involved with a giant brewery. So, why did you invest millions to expand to get bigger? Was you plan to sell out from the beginning?
To me it sounds like Breck got set up, and any local company willing to sell out to foreigners is a place I will not support. It’s a shame I used to love this Brewery, but that was a long time ago, now I avoid this tourist trap at all costs. I will only drink their beer if its free, and I will never get it retail that’s for sure.

Had a few hours to kill while on a recent trip to Denver so I hopped a Lyft and went down to LoDo where I could have been blindfolded and still found a bar with killer craft beers. Wynkoop has a great bar area and what looked to be a sizable dining area as well. Since I was on a beer mission, food was not necessary but the menu looked interesting.

Their beer selection included offerings from other breweries as well as a good stable of their own products. Looked like they had 25 or 30 beers on tap. I know, you’ve heard it all before — «so many beers, so little time» — but that was the case here. I will definitely leave a whole day for additional exploration and enjoyment the next time I am in Denver.

My latest visit was for a morning training meeting for us cool auditors. Sadly, the beer and other cooling beverages were not available at 8 AM. Tucked behind the bar is a little cozy meeting room that will remind you of a ski cabin. The buffet breakfast provided was the best I’ve had at one of these training meetings in a while. After two hours of morning training meeting about an exciting topic, I felt refreshed and ready for the day.
I was so impressed with the meeting facilities that I went back a couple of weeks later. I can report cold beer and good bar food and a cozy environment.
All in all, no matter what time you go to Wynkoop, it’s going to be good. We will see if that cache remains after the recent purchase of Breckenridge-​Wynkoop by the shittiest of all beer makers, Budweiser.

Wynkoop Brewing Company is located in downtown and a perfect place to stop by before and/​or after a game at Coors Field.
My husband and I stopped by on Saturday late afternoon before the game to grab some food. We decided to just walk into the bar and find a seat and just sit down. Shortly after we were seated, a friendly server came by with menus. After browsing through the menu, we ordered:
Brussel Sprouts Salad, $ 11 prior to tax– This salad comes with cheese, bacon and dressing, all of which I requested on the side. I was surprised with the amount of bacon that I received with this salad. My husband added it to his order of gumbo. I thought this salad was good but could have been better if the brussel sprouts used were raw. The brussel sprouts in this salad is cooked and a bit soggy so the texture isn’t quite as ideal for a nice crisp salad, but the flavor was good. I thought this salad in general was just fine.
Bowl of Classic Gumbo, $ 12 prior to tax– My husband ordered the bowl size and it came with 2 pieces of corn bread. I thought this gumbo in general was just okay. I have definitely had better gumbo so I didn’t eat much of it. I thought the portion is fair for 2 people to share. I did like the corn bread’s texture but wished it was a little bit sweeter and have bits of corn in it. But there were little small pieces of peppers in it to give it a light spicy taste.

Service was quite friendly and very attentive. Our server was really good at checking up on us and bringing us needed napkins, silverware, refills on our water, etc. She was also just as friendly and attentive to the tables near us and outside as well, which awards them the additional star.
By the way, one server told us that they serve water in a plastic disposable cup so that you can take it with you if you so you can stay hydrated. I thought that was nice of him to say as he topped off our glasses before leaving.
By the way, restrooms are downstairs and were clean and adequately stocked with the essentials upon visit.
And lastly, there is free WiFi (password: Batch3000) that was pretty fast on this visit.

I got into town late and was able to get a table outside late on a Friday night. They have an interesting selection of Colorado craft beers and some others too. Their green chili is a must try, it has a little kick and comes with a giant tortilla. The short rib poutine is excellent too, it has lots of tender beef, potatoes, carrots, some other veggies, and cheese curds in a pot roast style sauce. Sounds a little weird but is worth a try.
It sounds like this place is a Denver icon and I can see why. I’ll come back here when I’m in town again.

I didn’t get to actually eat here last time I visited the Mile High City, but was able to get some dranks, shoot some pool and catch with some old friends. This place is great for just the occasion!
We hung out in the upstairs loft area, which has a full bar as well as numerous pool tables, both tournament size as well as regular size. The layout was clean and spacious, preventing anyone from running to each others’ sticks and balls!
So get some pitchers and head on over for a game of good old billiards!

Unbedingte Empfehlung für jeden Denver-​Reisenden! Eine top-​Mikrobrauerei in Downtown Denver mit ca. 20 klassischen und völlig abgefahrenen Sorten, da ist garantiert für jeden etwas dabei. Die Atmosphere ist lässig, familiär und witzig, hier kann man auch gut alleine herkommen und sofort Anschluss finden. Wie in den meisten lokalen üblich, gibt’s Probiergrößen kleine Gläschen zu 0,1l und für 1 – 2 Doller. Oder man bestellt gleich einen train, 5 verschiedene für 5 Dollar. Man, waren diese Stöffchen alle lecker! Da soll nochmal einer behaupten, die Amis könnten kein Bier! Kommt alle Colorado! Das Abgefahrenste war ein Bier-​Wein-​Hybrid-​Getränk, ein Brewjeaulais, teilweise aus den entsprechenden Trauben gebraut, dass ganz erstaunlich schmeckte. Bedienung zudem super und Wifi kostenlos ohne Anmeldungsschnickschnack volle fünf Sterne!
