Comcast’s primary objective is to treat their customers poorly. The sales people willfully lie to customers in order to get commissions. When you call to try to correct the problem, the only response you get is «These are the terms you agreed to».

I AM BEYOND FRUSTRATED WITH COMCAST. I am about to cancel and switch to Century Link. Their billing process is outrageous. I am supposed to be getting automatic withdrawals out of my checking account monthly which didn’t happen so they shut my service off… WITHOUT WARNING. No phone calls, no emails, no letters, NOTHING. Then they tacked on an extra $ 300 in late fees. I have several things coming out of my account monthly, so it is easy for this to slip by me, especially when their «customer service», if it should even be called that, said that there were no worries, and that everything will be taken care of for me. Also, when I tried to look up my account number online it said that the account doesn’t exist. I am very unhappy.

Unbelievable customer service. Bad that is. I can’t believe them; can only read from script. Hate this company! They will tell one thing on the phone and reality is something different. Just plain stupid. Usually I am more gracious but not in their case. Please let some else come to town. I am actually considering Century Link but internet speed isn’ t high enough. Just pulling out my hair and trying to breathe.

Ive only been in Denver for 3 weeks and I am beyond dissapointed with Xfinity. Their is constant fluctuations in the strength of signal. However, the worst is the customer service. You are unable to get anyone in the US, and the people you get have poor english, a poor ability to understand english, and seem to be reading from a book. I was messaging on their chat about connection issues, and the person told me my account was disabled. I told him I was chatting with them on the very internet he was saying was disconnected. He just kept repeating the account was disconnected. No matter how many times I told him i was at that very moment using the internet and looking right at the router, he kept saying the account was disconnected. Then he transferredd me to a manager, and the whole process repeated itself. So Im left with no solution.

Don’t waste your money or time with this company. Instead, light your money on fire & pull your hair out which will give you exactly the same experience I’ve had with Comcast. Somehow Comcast has found a way to make stealing from it’s customers a legit business. I have no clue what majority of the charges are on our bill, and they continue to provide a service that’s not reliable. I’ve spent so much time on the phone. Right now one of our cable boxes has absolutely no signal, and I don’t even have the strength to call them back again to find out how to fix it. Needless to say, we’ll be canceling our services.

Fast internet. Horrendous customer service and billing. They will lie to you on the phone about what your bill will be for the next month after you change purchased services, and your bill will creep up each month even when you don’t change services.
Google Fiber, please please please come to Denver.

MAY I GIVE THE ZERO STARS??? This is the absolute worse internet and cable service. They are the most expensive service out there and in many cases like mine they are the only option! what a rip off! They said I was getting this GREAT DEAL– BLAST INTERNET for free and this is what they call blast– 3M to 5.55Mbps that hops off every few minutes! When you call technical support they transfer you and apparently at a certain level and especially if someone has to come to your home/​apartment because the trouble shooting does not work like in my case. I was gifted with a beautiful charge of $ 125 for service fees due to the technical support level call and the service call to come out. When I called to complain about this, it was removed because it was in the first 30 days and it was a bad modem, I was informed that this was a new charge they started putting in place now. I inquired that is all fine and dandy but when was the customer going to be informed? These people are crooks and I could go on for days but they are not worth my time. I am only posting this review because it is that bad that everyone needs to be aware. YOU MUST TRY ALL OPTIONS BEFORE SETTLING FOR THIS COMPANY. THEY TRIED RENAMING THEMSELVES XFINITY BECAUSE OF ALL THE NEGATIVE ASSOCIATION WITH COMCAST. One problem, the bills all have Comcast on them and the staff can’t figure out what their name is. BTW, I have written and called all the way to the top and they do not care so do not bother wasting your time.

I have XFINITY (Comcast) and it is terrible. There aren’t many options for us here and our building was already wired for XFINITY and it’s not DSL like CenturyLink so we thought we were getting a deal. NOT.
If you need internet/​phone right away, make sure you call way in advance. It took them about a week or 2 before anything was installed because they had to come and make sure they could wire the building for us. We were told it already was by the landlord and the guy that came out said it wasn’t and that it was going to be really hard for them to wire it… The guy that came to install it said it was already wired and did it super quick. And he was super respectful so props to him.
Their prices are ridiculous. We got the most basic of everything and still pay a crap ton. Now for the real kicker. Their customer service is just flat out whack.
I’ve called them for multiple issues and no one ever seems to know what I’m talking about. If you have no idea what that is or if you even offer it, DO NOT OFFER IT! I’ve been transferred back and forth so many times when I call and I tell them what is going on and they just keep transferring me back and forth. Not to mention that half the people they transfer me to are «outside» companies who do not manage or have access to anything. Half the time when I’m being transferred, an error occurs and then I get kicked out. What a waste of time.
Lastly, nothing on their website works. You can pay bills and that’s about it. How convenient. Anything else you try to do will show that there’s an error and then you can’t do anything.

Let me count the ways why Comcast (Xfinity) is a terrible company:
1. As we all know, they give you great promotional rates and then jack them sky high. If you threaten to cancel, they will usually put you on another promotion, but they obviously don’t value my business until I threaten to go elsewhere. I’m too busy to play their games. I do understand the concept of a promotional rate, but we are paying over $ 200/​month for services that we used to pay less than half that for. If they kept us at $ 125/​month for their triple play, we would be happy (with the price anyway, not the service).
2. They are now also charging us an «equipment inactivity fee.» We generally only use our basement TV in the summer to escape the upstairs heat. Yes, you read that right. They are charging us more money because we don’t use the basement TV in the winter.
3. Our internet connection goes on the fritz occasionally and once it does, it stays that way until they come out and fix it (temporarily). We last had Comcast out to fix this in September. It is now happening again only 4 months later. I had dial-​up internet in the mid-​1990s and the connection speed is currently pretty comparable to that.
4. My wife spoke with someone on Tuesday about the above problem. She scheduled an appointment for today at 2:00. I came home from work early today, assuming Comcast would be late, as my wife needs to pick up our daughter from school at 3:00. Being late would have been nice. As it turns out, they decided not to come at all.
5. My wife calls Comcast again to let them know of the no-​show. She was on the phone with them for a half hour (I have no idea why so long and I didn’t ask). At one point while she was on hold, we both agreed that if they wouldn’t send someone out today, we were done with Comcast. At that point, I said, «I hope they don’t send someone out, because I want to cancel them.» My wife agreed. The person my wife was talking to said someone would call us today to come by. As soon as he said this, he put my wife on hold, inexplicably and without warning, so she sat on hold again for about 30 seconds and then hung up. I really hope they don’t call us back (and since it’s Comcast, I doubt they will). I can’t wait to get a different service and be done with Comcast forever!

After reading the reviews of others I don’t feel bad about calling and complaining so often. I pay a lot every month for a service to work and not just project error messages as to why my television/​internet is not working in full force.
Customer Service does try to help, but they need to learn how to warm transfer so I don’t have to repeat my case each time I am transfered because each department cannot help me.
I wish they would get things together. Maybe offer a discount when my service is messed up every week.
Definitely going elsewhere when my contract is up if the service does not turn around.

As a cable provider, xfinity leaves a lot to be desired. It’s expensive for what you get.
Despite mentioning it to customer service several times over the last several years, the people who choose the music tracks on the music stations continue to mistake karaōke tracks for regular tracks. So some of my favorite tracks are missing their lead singer. (I’m not referring to elevator music which is purely instrumental)
Also every time I turn on the cable in my bedroom it shuts down for nightly maintenance, no matter what the time. Instead of saying so, it gives an error message. It apparently cannot be changed to another time. I’ve worked with customer service on this issue as well to no avail.

I am so frustrated with customer service. I have NEVER had a good experience when speaking to anyone in customer service. What has me really upset is all of a sudden, without warning, my bill is all of a sudden a different (more expensive) amount than what I had been paying. I call to get a clear explanation and I am being told it’s «taxes» …all of a sudden they just slap on unexplained «taxes»??? Come on guys…
I will be cancelling my service and switching elsewhere… I’m tired of seeing commercials for «new Comcast customers get $ 19.99 special» and I’m over here (basic cable, no internet, no phone) paying almost $ 100 I’ve never ever even had an equipment upgrade or movie channels and I’ve had service for 4 years, always pay my bill on time and never been overdue.

I know that everyone has already expressed a litany of complaints for this tyrannical giant. I do not want to present a salacious continuation of these complaints, but rather add to the mounting case against this company. My goal is to be objective about this negative review.
For the last 3 weeks, my Xfinity home has not been working. They call me daily to state that it is not working. Each time, they advise me to follow the same process (resetting modem, router, etc), none of which have worked. So, I finally decided to call today against my better judgment. The countless hours of my precious life I have wasted on these guys is nauseating. I had to verify my information no less than 3 times before I finally got to an Xfinity home specialist, who admitted he could do nothing for me. I stated, «of course not! Why would you be able to actually help me?» I apologized for the sarcasm and informed him the frustration was directed at the company. Even the employee, during a recorded conversation, agreed with me. He admitted that the company is disjointed and makes simple tasks daunting and enfuriating.
I now have to call back at home at some point to get this sorted out. I have been a Comcast customer for over 10 years now and the simple answer as to «why I still use them» is because I have no choice. Just like the millions of other Americans. This is a monopoly through and through which is illegal in the United States, yet no one does anything about it. It is sickening. Comcast knows they give inferior customer support and efforts to make us satisfied because they are the only option out there that we depend on.

My experience with xfinity very negative, I switched from DISH to xfinity because they offered me a good package, internet, tv, including hbo, one set on basement tv other tv had dvr unit– $ 89.95 plus taxes, was paying $ 103, with taxes. No problem, happy camper after several months bill started to creep up. I did not change service at all, but it kept rising anyway!
Finally got bill for 154 including taxes, screw it. I cslled and quit! Bought an hdtv antenna for $ 5, signed up for internet from Century link for $ 35 /​month plus taxes and Netflix for $ 8 a month. So my internet/​tv cost dropped from 154 to 43. I also get amazon, crackle YouTube and several other free services. Some channels I liked I can view for free on computer. Only thing I miss is ESPN. Oh well I watch too much tv anyway. Yesterday Xfinity sent me a bill for $ 300 for cancelling them, they will get paid when pigs fly!

Never will choose Comcast again unless it’s the absolute ONLY choice.
The service was awful, wonky and slow. My bill just got more and more expensive for the same crappy service. I imagine if you keep them long enough you will likely pay upwards of $ 200 for a plan you originally paid $ 69 for.
I cancelled my service August 1, 2015 when I relocated out of state.
Here I am almost 2 months later and I have not received a final bill.
I can’t even log on to my old online Xfinity account because it’s already been deactivated.
I called dreaded Comcast today, of course the wait time is 20 minutes.
I speak to someone with a very thick Indian accent who has a difficult time understanding what I’m asking. Initially rep tells me that I do not owe anything, that there’s no final bill yet because it closes on the 12^th of every month. Ummm, I cancelled my account 2 months ago, that makes NO sense. I explicitly tell this person that I don’t want to be sent to collections for a bill that I’ve never even seen.
I was put on hold to see if my final bill could be sent to my new out of state address.
Rep never even bothers to ask me for my new address before putting me on hold.
The rep then returns to say that I owe $ 66.58. He asks me if I am able to pay it now.
I ask him to e-​mail or mail the final bill to me so I can review it and have a paper trail. Representative tells me he can’t generate a bill and send it, but if I pay it now he will mail the final bill that says I owe nothing. HUH?
Sooo, lemme get this straight: I can only get a copy of my bill if I pay it sight unforseen right now, but a bill can’t be sent to me otherwise. THAT MAKES SO MUCH SENSE!

I declined to pay the bill at this time. It would be SUPER DUPER STUPID to just take a Comcast reps word for it.
Knowing Comcast they’ll try to bill me another $ 300 IN ADDITION to the $ 66.58.
(But won’t send a bill of course, because apparently they can’t send final bills)
I was ultimately told I could go to a local Comcast location to «see if maybe they could print me a bill» LOL Seriously?
Unbelievable a company is even allowed to conduct business like this.
Crappy internet + horrible customer service= NO REDEEMING FACTORS

I am giving 2 stars because I found that if you have an outage, you may call them and if you request it, they’ll take that day’s worth of services off your bill. That’s awesome. +1 point for comcast’s customer service.
But you have to call them and deal with the automated system first, and then with the, «I hate my job so I really don’t care what your problem is» employees.
That being said, the Internet is fast and the tv is awesome — that is, when it works. Maybe I live somewhere that has an irregular number of outages but there is an outage for either the TV or the Internet fairly frequently (and as I write this, both are out and won’t be fixed until tomorrow, according to Comcast). (Too bad they don’t pay for me having to use my phone data for this review)
If you want reliable service, in my experience, Comcast does not offer that. It does offer great service, when you can utilize it. It’s definitely a catch-​22.

Comcast is trying to redefine themselves as a better company in name only. They call themselves Xfinity. They are horrible with their services and inflated prices.
They continue to loose market share which is well deserved with the garbage they offer.
Apple needs to come in soon, offer ala carte sevices and take them down even faster. Hopefully, Apple can buy out NBC. This way Xfinity will only have their lousy alarm system and stupid digital phone.

How can you possibly rate this publicly endorsed rapist monopoly more than one star — of which they are not deserving? So, my bill just went up to $ 119 a month for the «digital starter» package — no premium channels. Plus, I’m out of the country 5 months a year. Can I turn off the service while I’m gone — oh no. I cannot wait for the day that cable companies are forced to unbundle their offerings and customers actually have some control over what they receive and for what price. Only Xcel comes as close to being a total government approved monopoly. Shame on Denver for forcing this down our throats with no real competition available. Rant over.

I’m fully aware that my review won’t matter because Xfinity knows they have terrible customer service and don’t do anything about it. Oh wait they do change their name from Comcast to Xfinity but they still are terrible. I could call them 5 times and talk to 5 different people and get 5 different answers to the same question. They refuse to let me not get telephone in my bundle because «I’m getting a better deal». I finally takes them into cable and Internet for $ 79. Now if my bill actually reflects that when I get it is a whole bother question. One day a good company will come along and I can spit on xfinitys grave

Comcast /​Xfinity is just about the absolute worst company I’ve dealt with in a long time. I was simply moving and trying to get service from Chicago to Denver but that transition has been a NIGHTMARE! I have talked to over 15 agents and called them more times than I can count because, apparently there are separate regions that they manage between the two cities. That would be all well and good except the IVR ALWAYS takes you to the non-​Denver /​Western region.
The end result is that I am transferred a minimum of two times per call for these idiots to get me to the right place… and that is after I’m asked to verify my information in full at least twice per call. Today, I am happy to say that I am cancelling with them to go to Dish. I already signed up and am getting three times as many channels and, guess what? I spoke to someone that could handle ALL their regions.
As a final joke, when I went to cancel my Comcast video I was yet again transferred from a very rude rep to the «Western Comcast» region, only to find that I got a closed message and to call back tomorrow LOL.
I truly hate Comcast and you should too. They treat their customers like crap and after six years I am DONE with them. Absolute worst customer service in the business. RUN from this company if you can, they suck thoroughly.
