Zephyr Clean Air

Same thing that happened to everyone else on here that has a bad review. Bait and switch, shame on Groupon for pushing this crap on me. Zephyr is a scam and I am pissed.

IS there a ZERO star option??? This place has earned it! Total BAIT and SWITCH!
I got a groupon, and when calling to schedule, after the initial ‘hello’ it was ALL UPSELL! I reluctantly got the ‘full’ package for 10x the groupon price.
So the tech shows up late and walks in, looks around the house then asks to see the A/​C unit outside (i got the FULL package) and immediately wants another $ 30 to do «the whole job» as the A/​C unit wasn’t covered under their Full package.
I nearly lost it but calmly called the company, said that he’s only to do the groupon package and demanded a full refund of the extra.
It’s been nearly a week and NO refund. I’ll be contacting them one more time and then it’s to the BBB

I bought a Groupon deal. Russ R (technician) showed up promptly and answered all of our questions prior to starting. The deal only included a certain number of vents and main lines so it made sense (without feeling baited) that extra charges (discounted) would appy. The technician was courteous and thorough. Prior to leaving, he conducted a walk-​thru which included a testing of the A/​C & heat to insure all was in working order.

DON’T DO IT! Complete «Bait and Swtich» on top of terrible service.
First, they make you call to set up an «analysis» appointment so a field manager can assess exactly what your house needs. But, because Zephyr has sold so many deals of late, the first available appointments are at least 2 months out.
When my appt date arrived, the field manager was a no-​call/​no-​show. I called back into the toll-​free number to reschedule, and instead of a new «analysis» appt, the rep did the analysis over the phone. (WHY couldn’t this have been done on the 1^st call I made?) As part of the assessment, I learned that I’d have to pay an additional $ 160 to clean the extra vents, returns, and main that weren’t included in the Groupon deal. Fine. I scheduled a technician to come out and do the work.
The technicial arrived yesterday. Late, but at least he did call 15 minutes before his scheduled arrival time to let me know. Technician himself was clean enough in appearance, but he left quite a mess behind him. There were scuff marks all over the linoleum, dust bunnies on the carpet, furniture left out of place, and a pile of dirt on both the washer and dryer.
This company is HORRIBLE! Shop around — really. Even Stanley Steamer costs less.

If I could give them zero stars I would. They scam and prey on taking advantage of ppl not knowing enough about their duct systems to say no to being over sold. Their customer service via phone sucks (they didn’t even refer to me by the right name or appointment) and they are terrible at what they do!

Scheduled appointment on 10÷1÷11 for today, yup… that was the quickest they could get out here
lo and behold, no call no show!
Called, left on hold for 10 minutes, told that they had to reschedule because they need to do a pre inspection so they know how long it’ll take.
Stay away from these scammers!!! pay good money and have someone reputable come to your house to do work. I just wish I’d reviewed them on Unilocal before going with this company

I scheduled an appt with these guys through a Groupon and they rescheduled the first appt. They were supposed to come today but they called saying they needed to reschedule again. Thses guys suck, they were not even going to do the cleaning today just an assessment. I called up Groupon and canceled the deal.

This company is a bunch of scam artists. I got the Denver Daily Deal too, and they were scheduled out to December. They came out and did an «assessment» and found all sorts of disgusting things in our ducts. They recommended a full cleaning for $ 849. I wanted to talk to my husband before deciding so I said I’d think about it. They had already pulled out my dryer to start cleaning the vent, but stopped when I didn’t give them the go-​ahead. They shoved the dryer back without reattaching the hose. When I started to do laundry, the laundry room got so wet the walls had trickles of water running down them. I called the main company and was told that customer service would call me the next day. Two days later I called back and they took another message and said I could reach their customer service person (I think they need a whole team!) the next day. By this time our kids were home from college so they helped us reattach the hose. When we finally talked to the CS person, she said sorry, and that’s about it. Then we called another company out. They said our ducts were pretty clean, but the dryer duct was dirty. They did all of it for $ 150. Zephyr Clean Air is a terrible company, DO NOT USE THEM!

Warning– this is not a reputable business! Don’t make the same mistake that I did!
I purchased a deal from Denver Daily Deals for Zephyr to clean my air ducts. Seemed like a good idea, and deal, at the time. I called to have them come do the work and was told that they would first come and do an assessment and I made an appointment for a week and a half later. Kind of rough not turning on my heat during a few cold spells during that time, but I figured the wait was worth it.
I was looking forward to them coming for the appointment at 9 am today. 9:10 and no one is there, so I call to see if they are still coming. The lady who answers the phone says she will check with the District Manager and get back to me. 9:30– haven’t heard back, still no sign, I call back and report them as no shows. The lady sounds concerned, says she’s not sure what happened to the guys but she will get back to me.
10:10– I get a call from the head quarters in Salt Lake and the lady who calls indicates that whoops, they won’t have anyone in my area until Nov. 8, more than 3 weeks from the date of the scheduled appointment. Incredulous, I ask to speak to her manager, who apparently had just left her desk. I leave a message explaining my situation and ask her to call me back ASAP. 12 hours later, I haven’t heard back from the manager, the district manager or the first lady I spoke with.
So as I prepared to write this review, I did some digging. First of all, Zephyr is based out of SLC and has received so many complaints that it has lost its BBB standing. Second of all, it appears that prior to expanding into the Denver market, they hit the Portland, Oregon market. Check out the Unilocal reviews for Zephyr in Portland. A bunch of swindlers that do a terrible job with what you ask them to do and then tell you your furnace is broken and for only $ 1,000 they will fix it for you— even if they were the ones that broke it.
I’m fortunate and Denver Daily Deals refunded my money. Based on a friends recommendation, I’ve scheduled Lucky Duct to come out and do the cleaning next week– no pre– appointment required.
Do yourself a favor and avoid Zephyr Clean Air and the cloud of dirt that surrounds them.
