Probably the best thing about my visit to the coast. Brad and Taylor were the kindest most helpful people. We got a massive amount of food for our money and an apple fritter that we will be eating for 2 days… wowza I think it weighs 5 pounds. The breakfast burrito was just as good. My husband and I still didn’t finish it.

Excellent apple fritters! So good we had to go back and get another the next day. Friendly staff, great location and really good donuts. We will be back soon.

My third visit to this little gem, located on the East side of Hiway 101 between the Depoe Bay’s only stop light and the bridge. Parking can be a problem, but push through this. They were Slammed – but the owner always cheerful, always greeting each guest like they were old friends. As he had in a previous visit, he left the place to hand deliver orders to some construction workers next door, leaving us alone with a tip jar full of greenbacks. That is certainly a Trust Thing… So, I finally got it through my thick skull that hot-dogs are NOT on the menu.(They do offer«Pronto Pup’s»: a corn dog.) In my two previous visits, I had asked for a hot dog, and they, in their quest for excellent customer service. did their best to accommodate me! So today, I had the club sandwich: All the usual fixings on a grilled ciabatta roll. I didn’t realize that it was a hot sandwich, so asked for lettuce… ALERT: don’t do that – it was wilted beyond recognition by the time I got home, and we’re talking five minutes! But this was MY mistake! So, the sandwich: was loaded with grilled turkey, bacon, cheeze, tomatoes, pickles… Grrr! Oozing, juicy, dripping deliciousness! I couldn’t finish it. I didn’t get fries, but if you did, would easily be enough for a meal for two. There were two turnovers left in the case, but while I was waiting for my order, another customer bought both of them. I was polite and didn’t tackle him and steal them when he left the restaurant… they were huge and looked SO yummy! This is take out only, no inside seating. No-one, including moi, minds that! The food is SO delish, that spending a few minutes chatting or reading a local restaurant guide is a pleasantly spend few minutes. For the locals, this place is an instant favorite, and I’m happy to see that out of town folks are also. Go There… any of us should be so grateful to have such a yummy and affordable place to crunch and munch out!!!

This past October I was in Depot Bay and saw an ad for this place. I had to get by after reading all the reviews. On my last day, driving out, we stopped by and bought 4 of those amazing apple Fritters. And such a great price. I can’t remember now but around $ 4. Did I mention they are HUGE! 1 fills the donut box The owner was working and was super friendly. Loved hearing his story about how he got started. We opened one of the boxes and picked at it all the way to L.A. It was a 2 day journey which is when I gave my family theirs, and 3 days until I gave my boss his. They were still so amazing!

We arrived late in the day and doughnuts were mostly gone. Though one of the owners mentioned that fritters were just finished a few minutes prior, if we were interested. Naturally, we went with the fritter option, tried a plain croissant, and the tween ordered a bacon-maple-bar. I was surprised that it came to over $ 9.xx, until we got to the park and opened up the pastry box… the fritter was bigger than my head! In the end, we paid the equivalent of a dozen donuts and received the equivalent! The maple-bar and croissant aren’t worth returning for, but the fritter will bring us back over the holidays when family is visiting. We really wanted to try the elephant ear, but they said the fryer was out of commission for the day, and the cinnamon rolls! We will certainly get there earlier next time, before the good treats have been gobbled up :)

This place is a little gem. The raspberry fritter is bigger than your head, so come hungry. And bring hungry friends. Friendly staff, and you can cross the street and watch whales while you eat. They need to up their coffee game, though.

The couple that runs this bakery are the nicest people. They will stop whatever they are doing and chat with you and just have a way of making you feel really comfortable and welcome. I almost gave just three stars, but I decided to give an extra star just for their outstanding customer service and the warm and welcoming atmosphere they provide. They are really cool people and I’m glad to have met them and I really like going to their shop. The food is OK. We’ve tried lots of different items and really there is nothing that has been outstanding: it’s a donut shop, that also has other food like their famous fish and chips on a stick, and breakfast fare such as sandwiches and burritos. It’s good, and it’s affordable, and so we like it. But I feel some of it is overrated, especially on Unilocal. For example, the fritters. Yes they are HUGE. They are definitely the biggest apple(and other flavored) fritters we’ve ever discovered on the coast. I’m a bit of a fritter whore so I always seek out the fritters where ever we go. But they are not as good as the ones you’ll find in Florence at that yellow converted gas station place(if you are a fritter fan and you frequent the OC you know what I’m talking about! :)). The yellow place in Florence is still my #1 apple fritter place on the coast.(And sometimes you will hear people say that it closed. It hasn’t.) They should have a fritter cook-off challenge on the coast! Sea Breeze would win on size, for sure. Also that fish and chips on a stick novelty item… just so you know, It’s actually quite small. In photos it looks like it will be this big thing, so be prepared when you order it because it’s really not. Everybody should try it at least once, though, because it’s fun. The taste is OK. Like rolling fried fish in chopped-up McDonald’s french fries and spearing it with a stick and eating it. You feel very American throughout this whole experience. Especially if you finish it off with one of their donut offerings. The second best thing about this place, second to the super nice people running it, is the view. You can watch for whales right from inside the shop. There is no seating(no room for seating), but the sort of food they serve is definitely hand-to-mouth type fare that makes it easy for you to grab your grub and head over to the sea wall and eat while you watch the ocean. My one word of advice: get your coffee someplace else. I’ve tried the coffee there several times now and it’s always been awful. It’s supposed to be Pirate’s Coffee, which we’ve had at the actual Pirate Coffee Shop up the road. I kept thinking I was just getting it on a bad day or something, but no. It’s pretty much always awful. Watered-down tasting. So get coffee somewhere else(or make your own and bring it with you in a thermos), come here for the most affordable breakfast, lunch, or treat you’ll find in Depoe Bay(because every place else has raised their prices and you’ll feel robbed if you eat anywhere else) and then go relax and enjoy the awesome view. That’s my suggestion. :)

The first time I went to pick up treats for my group, I got the donut holes which were perfect for individual servings. The 2nd time the story was … some kind of equipment problem … no donut holes. In fact, not much of anything in the display case at 8 a.m. I settled on 2 bear claws which the group members declared very good. I REALLY, REALLY object to their serving things out of the display case with their bare hands. Use gloves or small papers, please!

Right when we walked in we were given a warm welcome which is always nice! Their baked goods are incredible-try their two pound fritters or their giant 4-pound cinnamon roll bread! My husband had their halibut sandwich and chips and I bought a cheddar bagel-both insanely fresh and DELICIOUS!!! We stood and talked with the two owners and had a great visit. Definitely have to eat here! You won’t regret it!

Great breakfast sandwich! Bacon was cooked perfectly. Sandwich was on a great fresh roll. Friendly staff, they even took plain donuts and filled them with custard at a customers request even though they were busy.

When the worker wasn’t happy with the elephant ear he had made me, he threw it out and made me another that he was satisfied with. I thought it was great customer service! It was delicious. We’ll be back when we go through Depot Bay for sure!!!

The Boston cream doughnut holes are delicious and larger then the average doughnut hole, not much smaller then a tennis ball and the price is right! Also bought a raspberry fritter to bring home with me and to share with my husband… best fritter EVER!!! My husband and I are considering making the 4 hour trip to Depoe bay from Rogue River for more… well worth it! Do yourself a favor, the next time your in Depoe bay be sure to stop by! The owners are very nice and personable! I believe their pastries are baked fresh daily!!!

Just walked down to the bakery from our home here atvthe edge of the world. I have driven by and noticed the new businees, so our family decided to try it. What a great place. My entire family split the apple fritter as it was as large as a frisbee. I had the biscuits and gravy, but enjoyed the fritter the most. We are locals and we will be back to support this small business and try the other items on the menu.

The Sea Breeze Bakery Café is a new little bakery along Hwy 101, such a great find! Inside small shop they have the first dollar they ever made — from just March 2015! The owner offered us free samples of their apple fritters and, boy, were they great! My husband had to have one, if course. The apple fritter was HUGE, the size of an average dinner plate, and affordably priced as well. They also have raspberry fritters, donuts, biscuits and gravy, some other fried type foods. I had the smaller pronto pup — it was excellent, crunchy, hand dipped, and very moist. The would even say that the smaller size is even larger than a normal corndog, so if you’re feeling really hungry maybe go for the large! They have a sign that says they’re open from 5−3pm every day, but we stopped by well after 4pm and they were all still hard at work. The two people working were VERY nice, genuine and friendly shop owners — just what you like from a classic oregon coast shop. I will definitely be back — maybe to try the biscuits and gravy for breakfast today!
