History

Established in 1958.

Herb Budd Jr., working side by side with his wife Phyllis, founded Budd’s Pool Company back in 1958. Since then, the company has grown into an award winning business. Budd’s Pools has been a member of the Association of Pool and Spa Professionals since 1958. Herb served as one of the National Directors from 1963 – 1965. In 1961, Herb and Phyllis attended their first national pool convention and have been attending the shows and educational seminars every year since.

In 1998, Budd’s Pool Company became 1 of 13 pool and spa dealers, nationwide, who were inducted into the AQUA 100 Hall of Fame. The AQUA 100 recognizes the top 100 pool and spa dealers in the industry and the Hall of Fame honors those companies that have made the AQUA 100 list five or more consecutive years.

Herb semi-​retired in 2006 after the company received the prestigiuos honor of Certified Building Professional. Today, Herb and Phyllis’s son Randy is President with over 30 years of experience.
