R Jones Collision Repair is a premier collision repair facility. We work on all makes and models. We do everything from collision repair, to glass replacement, and detailing.

History

Established in 1971.

Bob Jones started the business with a partner in 1971. After buying out his partner, Bob brought in his brother Richard to help in the shop. In 1982, Ann Jones (Bob’s wife) joined the business to run the accounting department. And after an illness, Christy Jones, Bob and Ann’s daughter, came into the business to write estimates and help customers with the collision repair process.

Christy grew up in the collision industry, playing at the shop with her younger sister on weekends when her mom and dad were catching up on work. Christy graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in 1998. She taught for one year at Brody Middle School in Des Moines. After one year of teaching, Christy moved to North Carolina to get a job int eh NASCAR industry. She spent a year and a half in Charlotte working for an engine builder. When her mother was diagnosed with caner, Christy moved back to Des Moines to replace her mom at the shop. Christy purchased the business from her father and uncle in February of 2015.
