In my entire lifetime, I’ve probably eaten at Subway more than I’ve eaten at any other restaurant. I’ve been to all kinds of Subways: old Subways, fancy new Subways, gas-station Subways, Subways inside malls, strip-mall Subways, Subways on college campuses, expensive airport Subways, and stand-alone Subways(some with drive-thru windows, ooh la la!). I’ve had good food and bad food. Fresh food and questionable food. Soft bread and hard bread. I’ve been to Subways that have Coke products(yay) and ones that have Pepsi(nay). Some Subways have been stingy, charging me extra for spinach when it was first introduced. Some have been generous, offering me a free cookie. Some have had the elusive veggie patty. I’ve even had green chiles at a Subway in New Mexico. Of course, the service also has varied. I’ve seen young, old, energetic, apathetic, polite, and rude sandwich artists. I’m from Texas, so I’ve even had some redneck service. :D The Colonnade Center Subway is a strip-mall Subway with good food, Coke products, and excellent service. Like Brian M. said one year ago, this Subway really shines. Sure, it’s your typical Subway food. However, it has been consistently good on every visit. It’s how Subway is supposed to be. I’ve had sandwiches from other Subways that were just complete disasters. Here, my bread is soft. My veggies are fresh. My food is delicious. Again, like Brian M. said, the staff is what makes this Subway great. The employees are friendly and efficient. A few people have been working there for quite a long time(as long as I can remember), so I suspect the quality food and service results from the fact that they know what they are doing. That’s what keeps me coming back to this Subway: great food and great service. This Subway is not even the closest one to my house, but like Brian M. said, I will go out of my way to go to this location. Brian M., are we the same person?

Subway… the quality of their meats isn’t all that great, and there are so many other better sandwich joints in town. But somehow I always end up going back. Maybe it’s their incessant advertising with sports stars that I idolize. Maybe its because I love avocado and this time of year they take every opportunity to promote its presence. This Subway is large, as compared to others. My sammie was fine.

Sometimes even the most basic chain restaurant can really shine, not because of the food but because of the people. I always seem to have a good experience at this Subway due to the staff. Almost every time I stop by I am always greeted by Bonnie, who is always friendly and greets every customer with a smile and a great friendly attitude, it’s enough to help turn around even those having the worst of days. In fact, I will actually go out of my way and stop at this location over the mall, simply because of the customer service and friendly attitude here by not only Bonnie but the entire of the staff. As far as food goes, this is your typical Subway stop on in and let Bonnie and her friendly co-workers help make lunch or dinner exactly your way.
