This place is a scam! Beware! I drove in and saw their sign for $ 49.99 alignment. The guy behind the counter saw that I had a Mercedes-​Benz and automatically upcharged me to $ 120 because he claimed there is a special process involved with weights and special tools needed this and that. Complete bullshit. Alignment that is done on a Mercedes is no different that any other car using a computer and alignment machine clamps. There are front tierods and rear tierods that are 14 mm. No special tools. This is the way the dealer does it so why would a small tire shop do it differently. Ridiculous.

I have taken my car here for tire leaks on three occasions because it is close to work. During one visit, they told me I needed my brakes done. About 8 months later, I had my mechanic do the brake job. When I came back yesterday for another tire leak, I asked that they get to the root of the problem. If I needed new wheels, please let me know but I am tired of tire leaks every few months. I also asked for a tire rotation since I had three tires with leaks.
When I was called and told my car was ready, I asked what was done and they said that they had sealed the leaks. I asked them why they had not looked into a more permanent solution and the response was that I should ask the person who did my brake job to sell me new wheels! I could not believe the rudeness of that comment or that I should be «held to task» because I used someone else for the brake job…
When I picked up my car, the tire rotation had not been done. On my receipt for the work, there were printed comments stating «has own mechanic» and «brakes done by her mechanic». I asked them what my brakes had to do with anything. I had never asked them to check my brakes… Apparently, if you bring your car in for tires and they want to do more but you don’t have it done at their shop, they don’t want your tire business… because if you are this rude, no one would return. Their best suggestion was that I go elsewhere to get my tire issue resolved…
I will take their suggestion and never visit again…

I went there twice, bad idea. First time i had a coupon for an oil change, they asked me which car i had and when i said VW the price changed. I know that often VW cars cost more so no problem. They gave me a list of things that were wrong with the car which I did not ask for, only wanted to know where my coolant leak was.
While i was waiting for the oil change and coolant flush another customer came in for a oil change with a coupon and they upped the price on that coupon too. Seems like its a trend.
I had a lot of work done somewhere else including the ball joints that they had told me needed to be done. I was driving past and saw the very large sign saying $ 49.95 for alignment so i called to see if applied to my car. it did. So i made an appointment. I went in and told them i need the tires rotated and an alignment and that I had had my ball joints changed. They come back 5 mins later and tell me that because I had had the ball joints done somewhere else and they had told me about the ball joint problem the alignment would be $ 109. I had my husband call and they did not charge me the $ 24.95 for the inspection but I did refuse to get the alignment there.
I asked to speak to the owner who was not available and the front desk guy Jay or Jason would not call the owner. As an owner you should be available during business hours that’s part of the responsibility of being an owner. Jay tried to tell me they offer the special price to people who get services to encourage the business. So they would rather overcharge me because I did not get my ball joints done there. Instead of getting $ 50 for the alignment, they got nothing from me and someone who won’t go back and a bad review on Unilocal,they clearly know nothing about customer service

Any good review for this company is obviously someone who knows the owners/​mechanics personally. Went in for a new radiator on a 1999 mercury villager. $ 1200! And they didn’t even replace some of the caps! Biggest rip off! I learned that afterwards. Also just called for the coupon on buy 3 tires and get the 4^th free (no restrictions on coupon). So guy says it’s $ 350 even on a $ 60 each tire. Then we asked about the $ 49.95 coupon for an alignment. Asked what type of car we had. Mini van was $ 69.95. I may be wrong, but an alignment? What difference does it make between a car and mini van? Claims cheapest tires. Sam’s club has $ 89 good year tires and still cheaper price than their $ 60 tires and 4^th tire free. How does that make any sense? I will never go to this business again, nor recommend them. Rip off artists, not honest or fair pricing, do not honor their coupons, and prime example of why I detest mechanics! I wouldn’t trust them with my car again.

I came in to have my alignment done. There was a sign that said 49 dollar special. When they saw that I had a luxury car, they immediately said it would cost me $ 179. Really? Wow… I ended up going to Firestone instead. Firestone did an excellent job. They charged me $ 169 for LIFETIME alignment. Had it completed 2 times already within the past 2 years under the same agreement for no additional cost. What’s even funnier is that my local dealer wanted only $ 89 for the one time alignment. The dealer even told me that there is no difference between an alignment for a regular car and a luxury car. It’s the same procedure.

I will never, never, never, use this place for any type of service again. I requested tire rotation, balancing, and an alignment check and Tom told me I would have to pay for an alignment inspection, $ 24.50, whether or not alignment was needed, which I was fine with. I was hoping to get some type of computer generated or other similar alignment report that various other shops provide, i.e. toe, camber, caster results. Instead, Tom told me my right front strut was leaking and he could not evaluate my alignment because of that and that he would not generate any type of alignment report of the type I was expecting. He said I was still responsible for payment of the $ 24.50 «charge». I felt robbed because telling me my right front strut is leaking is NOT the alignment report I was expecting. He could have waived the $ 24.50 since he didn’t evaluate my alignment as I had expected. I reluctantly paid the $ 24.50 charge, along with the rotation and balancing charges, and got the h&ll out of there ASAP.

coupon scam alert! I have bought tires from them in the past. I called and got a quote for 4 tires. They gave me a quote. I then said I have the coupon for buy 3 tires get one off with no fine print of any kind. He said that’s for tires that are sold at list price. No stores sell at list price, they sell at retail price. They don’t honor their coupons.

Owner won’t honor coupons-​adds a bunch of additional costs. He assumes females are idiots and tries to talk them into all kinds of extras. I had them give me my car back and walked out. He is a total jerk. I have no idea how he is still in business.

I only wish I could rate this zero stars… I can’t even give a review on their service because I was so outraged I left before they could do anything. Just from pulling onto the property I apparently did something wrong so someone rushed out and started screaming and cursing at me. I did my best to diffuse the situation and not respond but he just kept going. I don’t trust a person like that with my car and will tell anyone I can to not give them business. Go anywhere else but here if you have car troubles just for the level of human decency.

Don’t think about going here with a coupon. They won’t take it and will be extremely rude. They Will lie and assume that a female doesn’t understand cars !! Why have an offer if taking it is so difficult? Don’t you realize that a deal one time may keep a person loyal for a lifetime?
What else would one expect from this type of guy?

This guy Tom, treats people with disrespect. I walked in to ask about their advertised, supposedly $ 49 alignment and was told my car is special and it will be $ 90. I said OK, fine, but wanted to ask some additional questions about the whole thing and was treated with disrespect and not like a customer. Do yourself a favor and just go somewhere else. I went next door and they did my alignment for $ 50, no problem.

This is the last place I recommend bringing your car for an oil change or any service. My mom had a tire replaced here and they actually put the wrong size tire on. I went in for an oil change and had a rude appointment-​booking experience and a rude interaction with the manager when I tried to give him feedback (before resorting to online posting).
Additionally, they didn’t change the oil-​monitor in the computer of the car after the change.

I’m a guy who knows cars and have done my own work always when I was young and living at home with a garage, but without any tools or time now living in a condo, I have to take my car to repair shops for most work. So I do know my shit and what I am talking about. The owner of the place will do a good deal if he is in the right mood or if you are a pretty girl. (see the positive posts) He will rip you off if you don’t know anything about cars.
I’ve taken my cars here ONLY WHEN I KNOW EXACTLY what I need done, otherwise he is a «keep replacing something» till it runs right kinda shop. eg. I needed my a/​c topped off-​recharged– just brought up to the the correct psi to blow ice cold, this guy wanted to replace my entire system estimate $ 2700. seriously, my car was still blowing cool, not cold, but cool. I even had to pay him the $ 70 bucks for «diagnosis» rip off.
So I did the bad and just bled out my system myself in my building’s guest parking space, no recovery of the coolant gas or oil (sorry environment) then went to ace auto and bought a home recharge can (with the correct amount for my car type) and recharged it myself. In the end got a little dirty, saved $ 2600 bucks ans lost an afternoon doing it myself. I was so pissed that he would try to pull a fast one on me, even after I told him the system was ok, I had to report him to the BBB with the rest of my evening. I was fully ready to pay $ 200 for the service and not having to get all riled up and dirty in the parking lot. oh well.
still if you know exactly what needs to be done and you are sure of it and can stick to your guns about it. the service is decent. if you do not, well, buyer beware.
they are good for new tires, batteries, wiper blades, burnt out bulbs, for the rest get a second opinion or take your own mechanic along to avoid the «switch it out» rather than «repair it» service.

My name is Chuck. I think that Tom is rude and I would never go back there. He is a self-​important man who thinks quite a bit of himself. This is not meant to be personal, but I would think that anyone who treats people like I was treated shouldn’t be in business with the public.

I don’t understand all the negative reviews. Yes you won’t get the warm fuzzies from the owner… ever. That doesn’t bother me. I’m getting my car fixed. If I wanted warm fuzzy I would go to Build A Bear. What they do is quality work and reasonable prices. In fact they will match any price in the area by 10% per a sign posted in the shop. The gave me a loaner and I spent a lot trying to maintain my 2002 Camry but it’s running fine now. I trust them with my car and the oil changes can’t be beat. If you have a filter you have to order you should expect to pay more than $ 12.95. There’s a disposal fee, tax, and labor. Anyone knows that! Yes you have to make an appointment for an oil change. So what? That way I know I won’t have to wait and my car has a time scheduled. I miss Alvin and hope he comes back but the other guy is nice too. This place is unbelievably rude, unprofessional and incompetent. I had a service that needed to be done at 10 AM the next day and was assured over the phone that it would be done the next morning. When we went to pick it up at 10 am they said «yeah we didn’t do it, here’s the price, here’s my business card» and gave me his card with a price 3 times what he had quoted. Mind you this is a price 3 times what he has advertised (and this is advertised on the side of the building!). They didn’t even call us, or apologize when we were there. They also advertise as Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. Take a look at their filtered reviews on Unilocal,I have never seen more negative reviews than this place has! I can’t believe this place stays in business!

We’ve been coming here for years and the owner, Tom, has always taken care of us. You pay for what you get, and while at least one person claims that they could have been ripped off, we’ve never experienced that. As a matter of fact, on a couple of occasions we’ve been told something will go wrong, but they’ve been honest that it’s not necessary that it get done that day… we had the opportunity to get a second opinion and we weren’t being ripped off with the quote we were getting either.
They’ve got our business for a while to come, as long as the customer service is as great as it is now, we’ll keep coming back.
Oil changes, tires, breaks and more, they are on top of their game and we will keep coming back!

Man, I wish I would have read these reviews before I went in for an oil change.
I went in last July and had to get an oil change done before a long weekend road-​trip. I had the same $ 10 coupon (as mentioned in other reviews) and when I called to make an appointment I specifically asked if the same rate would apply to my car (because I saw the fine print and wanted to double check ahead of time) and was told that it would be $ 10. When I arrived I handed over my keys and about 2 minutes later I was told it would be $ 15 because of the type of filter used. When I raised a fuss and said I specifically called ahead to confirm and was told $ 10, the guy threw my keys at me and said fine, I don’t have time for this.
As much as I wanted to walk out the door, I had to have it done, so I stood outside and watched as they did the change and kept my mouth shut to try and avoid any type of sabotage or messing with other parts of my car.
Needless to say, I will NEVER go here again, and would NEVER suggest this place to anyone.

SCAM ALERT!!! They advertise a 12.95 oil change for most cars. I wonder exactly how many «most» means. It ended up being $ 38 for a basic oil change. It was also incredibly slow. Not friendly and waiting area is filthy with old candy and gum wrappers on the ground. I can only imagine how bad they scam people who go with bigger car issues to be repaired. They are the reason people hate going to mechanics.
If it’s too good to be true it most likely is. I’ll just keep going to the oil change place on the corner of Higgins and Busse. It costs about $ 27 but they have always been very quick, friendly and never scammed me.
I should have known by how the business spells its name it wouldn’t be a good experience.

I have to agree with the others that gave this place a one star. The $ 10 oil change isn’t worth it. Plus its on certain cars, but they don’t tell you which ones. So before going in I called them to make sure that my car qualified for the offer. On the phone the guy said it did, but when I showed up the person told me that it wasn’t because my car took a different filter.
When I explained that I called their place in advance, the gentleman insisted that I pay $ 20 because of the filter. I told him that I called prior to coming to make sure my car qualified and the person I talked to said that my car qualified. Why should I pay for their lack of information. I mean I gave the dude the make and model of my car. Just cuz I’m a chick doesn’t mean I don’t know my car.
Finally after 15 minutes of pushing the point that I did everything necessary to make sure my car qualified the gentleman gave me it to me for $ 15. When I asked about he tired rotation offered for .99, he continued to be rude. Asking me how many I wanted. I’m like «um this isn’t for all four tires?» He then yelled at me saying it was per tire. Maybe if he was a little nicer, I would have paid the extra money for them to do it versus doing it myself. Yes even chicks can change tires.
When he asked me which car in the parking lot was mine I told him that it was the one with a Hello Kitty on the back of it. He then rudely said to me, «What’s a Hello Kitty? What’s the make of the car?» So I told him both, but he didn’t listen to me. No shocker there.
It took them close to 45 minutes for my oil change. So by now I’ve spent an hour in a place with little air and a rude employee, who doesn’t even look at me, but gives me attitude. Not exactly how I wanted to start my day,
My advice to people considering going here:
1. $ 10 for an oil change may seem great, but trust me you’ll be paying for it in other ways. Example: Long wait times, a rude gentleman behind the desk., and a headache because this one guy seems to be rude to everyone that walks in there. I say this place isn’t worth the money, the time, or the headache. Just pay more and go somewhere else. There are a lot of other places that will give you great service at a great price.
