I had to find a pet boarder/​sitter for my dog VERY last minute, right before a vacation, when the original sitter fell through. Using
was such a relief, because I ended up finding the perfect person to watch my dog while I was gone — owning an Australian Shepherd, I didn’t trust to just leave her with anyone (couldn’t be elderly, was more comfortable if someone knew the breed & her personality ahead of time, etc.).
helped me to find another local Aussie owner with a fenced yard who I felt safe & comfortable leaving my girl with; I knew that she would be well cared for, & that she’d have a buddy with as much energy as her! I honestly felt like my dog was getting her own vacation. I’m so glad I thought to check

This is an excellent place if you need to board your dog. It is so much better than loud, lonely, kennels. My dog had an awesome sitter with a great price. I could not have been happier. Best Dog Boarding experience I’ve ever had. Met a wonderful woman just miles from my house. She kept my lab at her house while we were away on vacation. She sent me pics and messages throughout the stay. The price was way better than any other place I’ve used and the experience was much nicer for my dog — he was in a home environment instead of in a cage or play room with 20 other dogs (getting exposed to who knows what). I HIGHLY recommend
to anyone looking for boarding services.

My dog is my baby. And I would generally never consider leaving her in the care of a stranger. But when I had to go out of town with no friends or family available to watch her, a good friend of mine (and fellow Unilocaler — Shunda B!) recommended me to
. I was skeptical but she said she’d used it a couple times for her two dogs and had great experiences. I know Shunda loves her pups as much as I love mine, so I trusted her enough to check the site out. Everything is reviewed and monitored through the website, so I had no issues with payment security. The person I ended up using had plenty of reviews from other happy dog parents who had trusted him to watch their pet. All of this made me feel more secure in my choice, plus getting to communicate with them ahead of time and even set up an initial meet-​and-​greet if you wanted. While I was gone, my dog sitter sent me plenty of texts with updates and pictures about how my dog was doing. I felt better knowing she was getting personal attention in a home setting, and not sleeping in a cage each night at the boarding place. Also, the website provided pet insurance if anything happened to my dog while I was gone, they would cover all expenses above a $ 200 deductible.
Did I mention this was all a good $ 20 per night cheaper than traditional boarding? Win-​win!

Loved our pet sitter!!! It was so easy using rover and screening the sitters/​finding prices! It was so reasonable with two dogs and our pups were comfortable in their own home! Can’t wait to go out of town and use them again!

I learned of
from a friend. I am very pleased with my experience using rover. I prefer having my dog stay with a pet sitter than a more traditional dog boarder (kennel, doggy day care, etc) because they get much more attention! The prices are very comparable, as well. I will definitely be using it again and would recommend it to anyone!

Dog boarding. This is the best!
I have used this service 3 times and couldn’t be happier. I had in home visits for my Abyssinian cat and macaw. I got pictures daily and never worried once while I was gone. I will use them again!

Once you find that person, then you’re good as gold — you wouldn’t have to worry because the sitters also send photo updates. Read others reviews under the selected sitter and you can also chat before arranging a date; it’s a no pressure system and payments are made through website system. Make sure to check amazon local, groupon, and/​or living social for great deals.

I’ve used Rover only once, but it was a wonderful experience. My fiancée and traveled to Japan over two weeks, and Justine, our dog sitter, was great! She even gave us a discounted rate because our pup, Yuki, had an extended stay. Rover was so much cheaper than boarding, and I’m quite certain Yuki had a better time with Justine and her dogs, anyway. I cannot recommend Rover enough!

I found
via an Amazon Local coupon. I happened to be in the process of looking for a dog sitter, so thought it was worth checking out. I did a little research, found a half dozen rover approved dog sitters within a couple miles of my home, and read all the reviews. I chose Dawn, and made arrangements for a ‘meet and greet’ with my dog. I could tell immediately that Dawn (and her daughters who I met later) were total dog people. I received pics of our pooch (Lucy) just about every day, along with a text on how she was doing — going on walks, relaxing, etc. When I came to pick Lucy up after a week, she was hanging out like a member of the family. She was happy to see me, but wasn’t making a mad dash to leave! I could tell she felt comfortable at Dawn’s house. This was a great dog sitting experience, and I’ve recommended
to friends. I’ll use them again.

For pet boarding,

a few times now. I very satisfied. My dog Lola has been taken care of some great people who I can tell are per lovers and I can trust. This is a great way to connect people with per sitters in the area. Love it!

once, but it was a great experience! The dog sitter, Justine, was very prompt in her communication, which I love. We got pictures all week of our dog George very relaxed on the couch, which is a special treat for him because he is not allowed to do that at home.
