Specialties
Happy Creek Farm Ragdolls specializes in a large variety and types of Ragdoll Kittens with the very rare «Calico Ragdolls» being the most sought after followed by the Mink Ragdolls with Aqua Eyes. All HCF Ragdolls are 100% pure ragdoll pedigrees with the lines of the solids and minks going back to Ann Baker’s IRCA Foundation lines which are said to be the sweetest and best personalities of all of the ragdolls. We welcome appointments and do bring your children along to meet the kittens and to see the difference of the personalities of kittens lovingly nurtured by the breeder since birth.
History
Established in 1993.
Happy Creek Farm Ragsdolls prides itself on having a 30% repeat customer and referral business. We have customers who have moved to other states and have purchased a kitten from HCF’s very first litter and travel to Devon, Pa. 19 333 because they trust that the kittens they will welcome into their family have DNA neg/neg breeder parents for the ragdoll health profiles including HCM and also that they are assured an extremely well-socialized, loving and affectionate part of their family. Happy Creek Farm is a «Closed Cattery» which is self contained and does not give stud service or send out for it to assure the health of not only the kittens but also the adults. All HCF kittens and cats are feline aids and leukemia free and all adults receive yearly leukemia vaccines. Any new cats coming into the cattery are first tested for FIV and Felv and receive an extended fecal screening for parasites and organisms prior to any exposure to cats and kittens in residence. Meet the Business Owner
Leslie K.
Business Owner
As a retired nurse manager and sole owner of Happy Creek Farm Ragdolls I feel that I have a «leg-up» on many breeders not familiar with bone and muscle structure in that at some time or another every breeder will have a kitten born that may have been crowded in the uterus and arrives with a seeming deformity which is obviously not genetic. Through my nursing, and therapy experience with people I can apply splinting or taping which will totally correct the problem. Therefore a kitten that may have been doomed to a life of being lame receives the necessary protocols to restore full function and the kitten goes to a new home with no sign of any abnormality. I find this one of the most gratifying parts of my job along with producing a beautiful, loving and affectionate kitten for your family. A «Case in Point» is Sweet Tootsie Roll” a breeder who was born with her rear paw turned backwards. Tootsie would love to show you her «tootsie» and her original baby splint. You’ll be amazed!
