Susan Dash has taught voice privately and at such institutions as the University of Pennsylvania and Philadelphia’s Settlement Music School since 1968. She has studied with many distinguished musicians including Harold Parker and Dan Marek (voice and vocal pedagogy), Dr. James Allen Dash, Dr. Joseph Flummerfeld, Dr. Elaine Brown, John Nelson, Robert Fountain, and Robert Shaw (choral conducting), Arthur Carkeek (organ), and Thelma Pechin (piano). She has participated in concerts conducted by many famous conductors: Leopold Stokowski, Pierre Boulez, Zubin Mehta, Ivstan Kertez, Eugene Ormandy, Riccardo Muti, etc. Performing experience includes many years in performances as a soprano and mezzo soloist in the oratorio, art song, opera literature, musical theatre as well as blues, and jazz classics. Her choir at the University of Pennsylvania appeared in concert with the Philadelphia Orchestra and the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra. She studied music at De Pauw University graduating in 19
