Called twice, left voicemails for an estimate and quote for inspection of our HVAC system. Never returned phone calls.

Had them come for a regular service during which it was determined that the blower capacitor was not working properly so Rick changed it and continued with his scheduled service maintenance call. Rick was courteous, clean, and professional. Prices were reasonable for the level of service provided. Will definitely call them again.

Not happy and not recommended. Our office heat was blowing cold air a week ago, so we called and was told $ 69 for service call and will apply to the bill if work is done. They changed setting on thermostat from heat pump to gas, and we were changed $ 130. No questions asked and paid the bill. Then a week later, when we tried to turn on the A/​C, strangely, it didn’t work, so we called them to check. Guess what, this time a bill over $ 200 to change a part. The system was perfectly fine until they come and serviced it! When we called and asked about the second invoice, they were not pleasant to talk to at all.
Talked to the owner who was reasonable to speak to and was willing to adjust the invoice. I upgraded my review from 1 star to 3 star.

Very impressed! Called budget to replace a gas valve. Nick came over to check it out and called around to find the part but couldn’t find it (I called around as well). To replace the part would have not been cost effective so I decided to replace the whole furnace.
Spoke with Nick and he gave me a good price. He showed up the next day on time with Andrew and did a phenomenal job. Were both very clean and professional. No surprise charges and were able to do it in the time slot they previously allocated. Would HIGHLY recommend them and will definitely use them again if more work is needed!

When the weather turned cold we decided it was time to turn on the furnace for the winter. When we went to do so, it would not respond. Dead as can be. Heater would not come on at all. Found Budget Air on Unilocal and set up an appointment. Andrew came to visit and repaired what I had thought the problem was and the furnace came right on. Shortly after he left it quit. Wouldn’t stay lit. So, I called him to come back, which he arranged to do later the same day which was great. After a lot of diagnosis (and he does obviously know his way around a furnace) he replaced a part that rarely goes bad as being the only thing that could logically be the problem. Furnace came back on again. He went on to his next call. Furnace died again. Same problem. Wouldn’t stay lit. Called early the next day (Saturday) and Nick called back some time after we left a voice message and came out to visit the same day. After a bunch more investigation he concluded (and we agreed) that the latest problem was a rather expensive part that needed replacing. He was very apologetic that he could not get one until Monday.
Monday Nick and Andrew both came by and replaced the part, for a price that included a substantial discount to apologize for all the inconvenience.
These guys are knowledgeable, on time, clean, polite, and compassionate. The final total price was fairly reasonable considering the parts replaced, work done, and all the service calls, including the last one with two people. Give them a call, I’m confident you will be glad you did.

Nick is the best. Scheduled next day appointment he called to let me know he was on his way and showed up promptly. Very professional I was supper glad I called them fixed everything and had my AC running like new! Thanks Nick Vapour Heights appreciates your hard work!

Technician also called me 30 minutes prior to arrival– and when I called back in return, he told me that he was running just a bit late too. (His name is Andrew)
Andrew was extremely courteous. I had dogs in the house, and he was not intrusive at all. He made sure to shut all doors every single time he went out or back in — in addition to knocking or ringing the bell each time. (My dogs were put away, however some workers are just not respectful of your property etc)
My AC unit is extremely old — I mean, it really should be replaced. I already know that, however, I’m running this thing to the ground. Andrew came in, looked at the unit, checked the filter — and then replaced my filter. He explained to me the importance of changing out filters — especially if you are using your AC more because of XYZ. VERY INFORMATIVE!
He also stated that he would check the charges, and all this other electrical stuff. I said OK. I mean, he had all his tools out — and was literally probing all my air vents to ensure that things were functioning correctly. I wasn’t going to stop him during his whole mojo…
The conclusion is, I had to have refrigerant replaced — a leak fixed — filter replaced — and a recharge of the unit. The estimate was on the $ 400’s. I did not hesitate to hand over my card for payment! He was extremely trustworthy and knowledgeable. He did NOT try to sell me a new AC unit at all — rather he realized the important of just fixing what was broken.
I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this company — ask for Andrew!
(Day after the unit has been fixed — it has been running better than ever — THANK GOD, just in time for this 100+ heat wave!!)

I needed an install for my home which had no previous system. I chose Budget based on reviews on here. I’m glad I did. Overall, very professional service provided. I still need to schedule with them to come back and balance out some of the air vents, but given the heat waves that this summer has brought, I’m just grateful they were able to get this done in the middle of July.

Roger is very knowledgeable and helpful. His team installed a brand new central A/​C and heating unit. Their price is the best among other competitors’ and we are very pleased with the new unit.

I own and operate a property management company in La Verne. We manage approximately 400 homes. We have been in operation over 30 years. Over those years we have used many HVAC companies. No one has compared to the quality of service, speed of service and pricing we receive from Budget. They have been our «go to» vendor for HVAC now for many years. We could not be happier with them.
Additionally, if a unit can be repaired, Budget will repair it. Most of the competition seem to only want to replace entire units. That seems to be all they know how to do. Budget, however, will reverse engineer the problem, often with a simple fix. So, when they do tell us that a unit needs replacement I know that it really does. They are a trusted vendor.
I give them an unqualified positive review.

Call their 24 hotline … No answer, Then I emailed them, requesting a service appointment, it’s been 3 days and NO one ever called and or emailed me back.. Way to do business budget AC! I wonder how much you’re paying for all the false 5 star reviews…

No call… No Show.
Called on a Thursday and set up an appointment for a technician to come after a certain time the following day. I left work early to make sure I was there. I waited… and waited… and waited and no one ever came or even called. I went with the place for the high marks it go from other reviewers, but this goes to show you: you just never know.

We are very pleased with their work and they were on time for repair at our rental and took care of the problem right away. We are happy to find a trustworthy source for our AC problem.

Quick, professional, and polite! Another company wanted us to wait a week to fix the air conditioner during a heat wave, but budget came out the same day and had it fixed within an hour. Well worth the reasonable price to have air during the summer.

Great service. Super nice. Was able to figure out what was wrong w/​my unit unlike another company I had come over to check. He checked out everything & didn’t leave until he figured it out.

I found this company on Unilocal,and I am so happy that I did. My AC system was losing freon over the last several years, and it was costing me about $ 300 every time I called someone out to fix it. I tried to get estimates from several companies that recharged the freon, but I never heard back from them. I finally called several companies, including Budget Air, for quotes. I even contacted one of So Cal Edison’s companies that will give you an SCE rebate, but even with the rebate, their prices were higher than Budget. Budget came out and replaced my AC and heating system, replaced my cheap duct registers and thermostat, and replaced the inadequate platform — all for less than any of the other companies. They finished the job quickly and efficiently. I highly recommend for their quality and service.

My heating unit stopped working. These guys responded quickly, came out here quickly, and fixed it right up.

My A.C. suddenly stopped working this past weekend. I had a service technician come out, open my AC unit, do a bunch of tests, and tell me my whole outside condenser unit was bad and needed to be replaced. I took his word, as he seemed quite convincing. Luckily my wife talked some sense into me and demanded I get a second opinion.
I came across Budget Air here on Unilocal,which had a very good 5-​start review. I spoke to Steve over the phone and he asked me if I was sure my whole unit needed to be replaced. He also asked some other good questions, which gained my trust, and I had Steve come to my place. Steve even came out while I was at work and nobody was home.
To my delight, I received a call from Steve while at work, saying my unit did not need to be replaced. Rather, he replaced some bad components, and I came home to the sweet cold air, which I’m miserable without.
Steve saved me $ 1,800 — $ 2,000 bucks! Needless to say, I’m super pleased with Budget Air. I will definitely call them for any AC/​Heating needs.
I do have to say that the first guy who came claimed to have been bitten several times by black widows, and I was quite entertained when he stuck his bare hand into what looked like a black widow pit (thick web, eggs, and all) in one of the crevasses by my A.C., without hesitation. Awesome.

These folks are legit! Water overflowed from the condensate catch tray and leaked onto our attic and into one of the bedroom closets. It caused water damage to the wall, and mold developed on it. Jonathan assessed the cause as being an improperly mounted evaporator coil causing condensate to flow opposite of the drain. He told my wife the cost of the repair was $ 645, but I didn’t believe it and thought he may be overcharging. But I took a look for myself and realized he was being truthful, and understood that it was a labor intensive job that needed 2 people.
The day of the repair, Jonathan and Nick walked me through the plan. They were very friendly and I appreciated their honesty and professionalism. If you need, A/​C repair, these are the people to call up!

Awesome! I’m not sure I remembered the guy’s name, but I think it was Nick who came by to give my A/​C a tune-​up. I was told he’d show up Friday morning, and sure enough, at about 9am Friday, I get a call from Nick making sure I was home so that he could come by and check things out.
He came by and was super polite and went through my home first to make sure the temperatures were good, then he went out to the A/​C unit to do his inspection. He noticed a couple of minor things disconnected/​loose so he tightened them up and fixed them and showed me pictures of what he did. The price was very affordable too!
Would definitely recommend to anyone who needs to have their A/​C looked at.
