What a great venue to have a wedding reception. I would describe this venue as a hotel look alike venue but without the expensive hotel price. Plenty and safe parking and nice hilltop view. The front desk staff are very helpful and awsome– especially Robin.

We had our daughter’s Quinceañera October 2015. All our guests loved the venue, it has privacy and amazing views! The grounds are awsome which compliments the ability to take great pictures. Plenty of parking space. Robin, the Diamond Bar Center Coordinator, was awsome and went out of her way to make our daughter’s Quinceañera a memorable occasion. The day of the event, all the crew was friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this venue. I would definetly use them again!!!

my buddy was supposed to have his wedding here. they were very quick to accommodate whatever we needed to ask and our concerns. when we needed to alter the wedding date there was no problem what so ever. the staff is cool and young they are very welcoming and funny, keep up the good work and represent DBAR

Hello! I just had my wedding at the Diamond Bar Center on 8÷14÷2015!
It’s a lot of work but can be done and you can make your wedding look like you spent $ 30,000 but in reality spend under $ 10,000! I did all the leg work for the best vendors and deals so my list of vendors should help you tremendously!!!

*You need to hire a wedding coordinator who has worked the venue before! You can find one for about $ 600-​$ 800! Make sure to go to the vendor shows! Make sure Robin has worked with her and likes her!
*Mr Bee’s Bartending service was amazing and inexpensive!!! The best vendor I hired that I was the most happy with! He even met with me twice and gave me an alcohol list of the amount of alcohol I would need!
*Petrillos Italian in Glendora catered and the food was a hit!!! We had a huge italian buffet with bread on every table, a yummy antipasta salad and three types of pasta under $ 7 bucks a person!!! It doesn’t get cheaper than that! Trust me I checked every every catering company and restaurant In the area and outside of the area! Check out their reviews! Matt the manager even made my husband and I a heart shape pizza! We feed 400 guest for $ 3,200! Matt 626−367−5634
*Do not hire Ramons Event services for clean up or staff! They are all lazy and have a bad attitude and gave us soooo much grief! If you ask them for anything the give you a hard time. The water in my beverage station never got filled, we had to keep reminding them to light the small candles I got for the tables, they didn’t have anything set up by the time my guest started arriving! Ugh it was awful. I got into it with Ramons wife in the kitchen!
**********This is the most tedious of all things!!! You need to rent or buy your own linens and for some odd reason the center provides only the extra large tables not the standard banquet tables most venues provide! Linen rental cost is expensive and even more expensive at the Diamond Bar Center because you need a rare large linen size. So I purchased my own and spent a ton but now at least I can rent them out a few times and sell them and make some money back!
So if your having a wedding a Diamond Bar Center you can rent or buy mine for cheaper than you will find any where else! Trust me, I did the leg work! All you need to do is buy a pretty overlay in your color which shouldn’t cost too much since overlays are a small piece of matériel that goes over the white polyester. My white linens drop all the way to the floor to give it an elegant look!!! Plus I have white polyester napkins and to match along with 8 cocktail table linens as well!

One of my friends recently had their reception here.
Located off of Grand Ave, there’s plenty of parking once you follow the signs and get past the building. No parking fees.
To get to the main ballroom, you go past the lobby area. Next to the ballroom is a nice open outdoor area. Around the outdoor area are some great views of Diamond Bar/​Walnut, as well as a few good locations for a wedding ceremony.
The space could easily seat 200 to 300 people. Could be more, depending on how you arrange the tables. During cocktail hour, we spent time at the southern outdoor area, where there was an open bar for us, as well as appetizers. There were a few tables where you could stand, chat, and eat your foods. It was a very large area, and probably was same size as the main ballroom.
Dinner was spent indoors, and was buffet-​style. The huge line of food was spread out on tables on the other side of the ballroom (opposite of where cocktail hour was done).
Overall, we very much enjoyed the wedding. Very large area for large weddings, and it can definitely accommodate a lot of guests.
It’s also not too close to the residential areas, but I think there’s still a curfew. I believe everyone had to leave by around 11pm, at the absolute latest.
Very clean, good modern look, great views, free parking.

It’s been 3 years since my last review and I just wanted to give a little update. Since 2012 I have planned & coordinated 3 additional weddings at this location and have had nothing but an amazing experience! It saddened me to come back on this site though and still see more, less-​than-​5-​star reviews complaining about this beautiful venue’s rules and regulations (such as setup, alcohol policies and clean up).
As I mentioned before, when booking at this venue, it is absolutely necessary to understand that this is a city owned property, and just like any other city owned property, the rules and regulations are going to be quite intense. As long as you are completely aware of everything up front (which the DBC so kindly provides you right on their website, which is very awesome), then you should have no problem at all.
I will say though, that for a venue like this, an event coordinator is almost entirely necessary, no matter how orgnaized or skilled you are at planning. I’m an event planner/​coordinator myself, I planned my entire wedding to a T, but I still hired a day-​of coordinator which I do not regret for a single second. A coordinator who knows this venue well will be able to provide you some added insight that might go overlooked by somebody who has never hosted an event here before (especially if you’re hosting both your ceremony & reception at this location!!!) After my own wedding at the DBC, I learned a lot of do’s and don’t and do-better’s and I always pass those on to my clients.
Overall this is an amazing venue, and for the price, it simply cannot be beat. It isn’t for the faint of heart though, this venue is either for the person or couple who is highly organized, skilled at planning down to the fine details, and looking for a blank canvas to design their dream event on their own from scratch, OR for the person or couple who is willing to hire a full wedding planner/​designer/​coordinator to do it all for them.
As I mentioned prior, an amazing event at this location with about 200 people can be executed for as little as $ 11K and look & feel like a $ 30K event. It may require a lot of DIY and valuable insight, but all of that goes a long way to ensure such a special day!
So get informed, know the rules and regulations up front and you’ll be golden! Best of luck!

If you are looking for a nice, affordable place to have a reception this place is perfect… Nice view, great size, and awesome Service. I was representing goose on the rocks bartending I really liked working at this Venue… I definitely will recommend this place to my friends and family.

We just had our wedding reception here this past saturday May 9, 2015. This venue is beautiful! You do need to book way in advance (we booked in june 2013) and if you are or know a diamond bar resident Who is willing to book for you there is a $ 1,000 discount! It is an empty palet that only includes tables and chairs (if you want to use them) dancefloor and portable bars. However if you are on a budget (trust me… We are not ballin!) this place is the way to go!!! We definitely compared vendor pricing and even looked into some vendors other reviews had listed, some came in handy and we used but we also found cheaper pricing on others and we were able to have the perfect wedding we had invisioned despite our finances (our budget was $ 19k) and guestlist of 300. Believe me… I cried when we first started looking at venues when we were quoted on cost because i didnt think we could have something nice … Boy was i WRONG!!! My husband assured me we would have a beautiful, perfect wedding that we deserved and he sure delivered finding this place and doing vendor research (THANK YOU my LOVE!!!) But bringing in different vendors and doing our homework and having it here… We were able to have our dream wedding. EVERYONE but especially us were completely satisfied with how it all came together and looked absolutely gorgeous… Even keeping it as simple as we did. You do need a same day coordinator (listed below) and will need some family help when its all over for clean up… But thats minor when you see all the $$ you sve compared to other venues. If you have a cash bar you do need a permit (your caterer should handle, i listed mine below)… And the the alcohol serving time can only be 5 consecutive hours, but who wants a bunch of drunks there anyway!!! It worked out perfect and gave the guest an hour to somewhat sober up before going home. The staff was very friendly and helped me prepare the past two years weve been planning and returned calls/​emails with no problem. I HIGHLY recommend looking into this place as your venue, some restrictions and rules but thats pretty much everywhere you go… You wont regret it! Below is a list of our vendors… HAPPY PLANNING!!!

Unaccommodating service. Said they needed 1 day in advance notice to book tour. OK. Tried to book one 6 days in advance. No tours on weekend. Sigh… didn’t even tried to work with us. Mentioned again no last minute tours. I said forget it then. Emails back and forth. If you don’t want people to contact you late at night then maybe you shouldn’t contact me so close to midnight BEN. Too strict and no flexibility. Way to make me feel special when I am trying to pay YOU money to host my special day. I rather spend money elsewhere that will at least ‘appear’ to make me feel wanted!
I understand a business is still a business. But the event manager comes off short and makes me feel like such a bother. If this is what I have to work with in the beginning, forget it. I’ll take it as a red flag. So far, had a few email exchanges with him, and basically everything is a NO! That’s his only vocab or something.
Thank goodness I live in Cali where wedding venues are a plenty!

I just had my wedding here last Saturday! So here are some suggestions/​tips:
Remember you are starting from scratch so expect lots of vendors to keep up with. They only provide tables, chairs and bar
Your setup time is limited!!! So make sure your vendors show up on time!
The place has to be spotless after your reception so hire a clean up crew!
They let you bring your alcohol but must be served by a license bartender and you can drop off all drinks the morning of the reception.
My suggestion is to hire a day of coordinator. I did not hire one because my sister does it for a living and that helped a lot!

Catering: summits events in Fullerton Veronica is amazing! she worked with our budget and the food was amazing! She knows diamond bar center very well!
Linen, bartender, florist and clean up crew: pink castle design: I chose Bernice because she was a package deal. I didn’t want to deal with a lot of vendors so I found her on Craigslist and was very pleased with her! But the only problem was she was about an hour late delivering my ceremony flowers but other than that she’s amazing to work with.
Flipbooks and up lighting: Dj bros. my guest had a blast with the flipbooks
Dj mc: dj buddy. He was amazing and got the crowd going all night!
For diamond bar center if you have a hard time contacting the coordinator, she responds to emails quickly so don’t try calling her!
I am very happy on how things turned out! I was stress free and I enjoyed my wedding and that’s all that matters! Give yourself time to plan. It ends up cheaper than others places but the planning and stress goes with the price! If you do not like Planning anything this place isn’t for you! So good luck to the brides out there!

It’s a great venue. Simple in design and technology.
The view isn’t bad here. It’s easy to find. No food services.
Criticism: as a vendor, they ate strict with cleanup time. You must get all equipment out by 11pm.

As a resident of Diamond Bar, I wanted a wedding venue as close, simple, yet most beautiful as possible. I often walk my dogs around the area and occasionally go there for silence and solitude time. It always gave me this sense of tranquil. Therefore, I felt that it would be the perfect wedding venue, especially when I was allowed to bring outside cater in for a chinese style banquet.
The venu has a lot of advantage and is a great wedding venu, but hosting a wedding there took a lot more work and time and money than I expected. Also, the place is heavily booked, so we had our wedding on a Sunday instead.
First off, since the venue is a city property, there were a lot of strict rules and regulations on alcholol, clean up, time, etc. Though the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, they had to abide to strict city rules and go with everything according to the clock and contract. Among that was the time. We had to pay more in order to extend the set up time, so that costed us a lot more than expected.
The center is also very strict on clean up too, we had to make sure every scraps inside and out was picked up as well and get everything in and out at a small window of time. Luckily, we had an amazing group of wedding volunteers from friends that made this possible. I can imagine how stressful it may be however, for others that may not have this kind of help.
Our wedding was on the most beautiful and perfect day of the year, (mid April) with the trees and flowers just starting to blossom. We could’t ask for a better ceremony location! I loved the garden oval area, where were were able to use the trees for shades and the lawn area to set up a dream wedding. The lawn area could only accomodate 250 or so guests, and that was our exact guest list.
One of my favorite element of the Diamond Bar center is that it sits on a hillside, and when we had our reception inside, we had the entire windows uncovered, so our guests could enjoy their dinner while looking out the beautiful sunset outside the hall. It made the wedding atmosphere unique and nothing like a typical hotel wedding banquet hall with 4 solid, windowless walls.
My only disapointment was the lighting above the dance floor. We met with the center coordinator a few days before the wedding to make sure all lightings and sound were in place according the our setting. However, on the day of the wedding, the lights above the dance floor did not light up the entire time, making our photos and area bland. No one noticed this to fix it, so that was a disapoinment also.
Overall, I was very happy with my wedding and how the Diamond Bar Center help make it memorable. Honestly, the last place I would want to host any wedding is a city community center but the Diamond Bar Center is definitely exquisite, classy, and prestigious. I especially enjoyed working with the nice and friendly staff.

Beautiful place with the most stunning views. Landscaping is amazing and the event we attended was serviced well. From what the bride said the staff was very accommodating. In my next life I would love to have my wedding there lol

Came here this past Saturday afternoon for a family friend’s Son wedding reception. This place is very nice pretty easy to get to although we made a wrong turn early but eventually found our way. Seems like this would be a great place for an outdoor wedding and reception the staff was friendly. The room fitted about 250 easily. Nice place.

Came here to go on the hiking trail.
There are a couple of different trails, I’m not sure which one I took because
my friend led us, but it took about an hour to complete, and it went around in a circle, so we ended where we started off.
From the beginning, the view was beautiful, and throughout, you will be able to enjoy the sights. You can even see the sky scrapers of Los Angeles.
As for the hike, totally kicked my butt.
I’m so sore. The uphills are intense, and the downhills were scary. (try going down backwards) I was sweating like a pig. The most rewarding part was during the end of the trail, when cool winds were blowing, drying me off and I felt so good!
Definitely something to check out.
Make sure you bring alot of water and wear sunscreen!
There weren’t any shrubs that were prone to scratch your legs, so don’t be afraid to wear shorts.
Plan a hiking date with your friends and family!

We come out to this place to check out the view — at sunset and at night, it’s breathtaking. While I wish the park near the back of the Diamond Bar Center was a bit bigger, occasionally we’ve seen people bring their dogs and their kids to try out the trail (something I want to do eventually).
While I haven’t gone inside the venue itself except to use the restroom, it looks like a pretty good place to for various events. There’s plenty of parking, and the building is well-​kept.

Came here yesterday morning for a walk through with my sister in law because she is looking for a venue for her 2014 wedding. The person we met with was a nice person (unfortunately I did not get her name, but she is black and wears glasses. She is probably in her 20’s or early 30’s). My sister in law came here before but wanted to bring the family this time for feedback.
You can find the pricing for this place on Diamond Bar’s Center website. There is also a pamphlet you can pick up at the front desk of the center as well. Anyways, there is a higher price for non residents. To go around that, I would highly suggest that if you want to rent this place out for an event, you find a good friend that lives in Diamond Bar to help you out. Or you can also try renting a PO Box and see if that flies for you.
Anyways, we were shown the grand ballroom on the 1^st floor which has a built in dance floor. Rental of this room comes with access to the balcony (which is allowed for your guests to smoke here if they wish) and the hallway outside of the ballroom. The ballroom can hold 400+ people. For a guest count of less than that, they can sectional off the ballroom to get rid of excess space. But the good thing about this is that there won’t be another event occurring in the ballroom. But there can be another event going on upstairs in another room. Part of renting a room at the center requires that you also pay for security. Security can be there to make sure that you have no party crashers at your event, so that shouldn’t be an issue.
There is a small room that can be rented out at an additional cost (I believe it’s $ 80/​hour) for the bride to use her changing room if she wishes. But there is no restroom in this room. However, there are plenty of clean restrooms right next to the ballroom.
One thing to mention is that there are some strict rules you must follow if you decide to hold an event here, such as candles needing to be approved and are required to purchase a permit for them. You also can’t tape or nail things onto the walls. There is also a kitchen on site, right behind the ballroom, but does not have cooking capability and can only be used to heat up food (important for your caterer to know).
Overall, a very beautiful place with some great views of the city. There is also a dirt trail that the bride and groom could probably get some great photos (although the bride’s dress may get a bit dusty though). There is plenty of parking and additional parking lots if there happens to be 2 events happening on the same day. Just one thing negative about this place I would have to say would be the pricing. I think this place just is a bit pricey for what you are getting (the ballroom does provide tables and chairs but not linens).

Every time I shoot around the OC I usually end up at Diamond Bar Center.
The best time to go is towards the golden hour for ample lighting. If you go during the peak sun hours on a clear day lighting can be a little bit challenging, but still worth the visit.
This place offers great greenery and good lighting.
