Renowned Events was amazing. Mike was our DJ and he was great to work with. He triple checked all of our songs and made sure we had the versions we wanted. He got everyone’s name correct, which is great. Some of my friends have some complicated names. Mike met us at the rehearsal and walked through run of show. We appreciate him and the Renowned Team. They were great to work with and so much fun. The dance floor was packed all night!

We got married in May of this year and we met Mike of Renowned events at a Bridal show in 2014. Mike was extremely professional while still being fun and entertaining. We actually had a small issue with the meal running late and Mike took care of everything keeping everyone entertain to that no one even knew there was a problem. I would HIGHLY recommend Renowned events for to anyone in need of a DJ for your wedding ! We also booked their photo booth which was a huge hit with our guests !

This company is awesome and professional. They made my event feel like the only place to be in the world. I paid for up lighting, Dj mc, a photo booth and a truss system. I’ve never thrown a party with this much overall success and I will definitely come to them for years to come.

I hired Renowned Events for my wedding on May 25^th, 2014. The services they provided were the emcee, DJ, lighting, photo booth, center piece lighting, and a monogram. My wedding looked amazing and it was all thanks to Renowned Events! Their communication is top-​notch and they definitely have strong customer service! Whenever I would reach out to either Mikel Turner or Matthew Nicosia they would get back to with urgency and both made sure all of my questions were answered. The ease of service with signing the contracts and making online payments was OUTSTANDING and made the process so much easier to deal with. I would absolutely recommend Renowned Events for your special and memorable event!

Renowned Events did a great job on our wedding just last week! Mike Turner was great with commmunicating with me and making sure that I got all of my questions answered in a timely manner! Matthew was the MC on the night of our wedding and he did a wonderful job with the lighting and the music and keeping our crowd going! This is an update to my previous review. I got an email that Renowned Events is disputing my review on Wedding Wire. A Wedding Wire representative contacted me and I had to send them invoices to prove I was a customer to get the review reposted. Michael Taylor, the owner of Renowned Events reached out to my husband and I because he wanted to explain himself. First and foremost he apologized for our experience. I guess the guy Mike (not the owner) who did our wedding got into trouble because of our review and after messing up someone else’s wedding recently, was let go. Not only that, but Mike knew he was on his last strike and he was the one who went onto Wedding Wire and disputed the negative posts about himself to try to hide it and keep his job.
I don’t like to see anyone lose their job, but Michael Taylor obviously takes his business very seriously and it’s good that he upholds a certain level of standards for his company. It’s unfortunate that our experience for our wedding played out as it did because we will never get those moments back, but I do appreciate that Michael personally called us to apologize and shed some light on the situation. Michael Taylor himself was extremely professional from start to finish. If I had to do it all over again, I would make sure that I paid the extra for him personally to show up that weekend.

I would not recommend Renowned Events! The MC and DJ at my friend’s wedding lacked energy and they were disorganized the entire evening. There was no variety in the songs they played during dinner and the speakers cracked with feedback continually throughout speeches and dance performances. Also they did not take requests. Save yourself the headache and find another DJ for your event.

3.5 stars since the lights are nice.
Out of all my vendors I used the DJ was the most disappointing. When we first met with Michael Taylor he sold us on «piece of mind». He managed to work within our budget and really wanted our business. He showed us samples of the DJ (who was a MTV host) that we was supposed to have and I figured that since I had majority of my music list already planned out, all we really needed was a good Emcee. Mr. Taylor helped answered all my questions up until when we actually met our DJ/​Emcee for the day of. I’m a HUGE planner and like to get things squared aware early on but sometime I felt like I was a nuisance. He did however meet up with me at the venue to show me uplight color options and to answer any detail questions I had. Somewhere along the way things changed from when we first met because when I asked when we can meet our DJ, he was still deciding! That struck me a bit uncomfortable but I had no other choice at this point. After a couple of follow up emails, Mr. Taylor finally appointed me to Michael Pearson as our DJ and we can meet him on the Monday before our wedding to go over things.
We went over the online form in detail. In addition to all the request lists I listed, I provided a separate list of songs for him to play so there should be no songs I didn’t like. We went over the details of announcing names, and pronouncing them and using the correct songs for intros and some changes I had to the form. On day of I get a call from Mr. Pearson (while I’m getting my makeup done) and he wanted to go through all the ceremony songs again! He showed up 30 mins before the ceremony, and didn’t have any music playing while my guests arrived. I felt like the songs were all on a delay and I know one of my bridesmaid was looking for him at one point during the ceremony too. There was a lot of silence during the ceremony which I wasn’t happy about since I gave him PLENTY of music to play. He got the wrong song for one of my wedding party’s entrance and had to redo it. Overall, very disorganized. He seemed like he was listening during our meet up, but obviously wasn’t. He pronounced names wrong and there were awkward moments like after everyone came in. He was supposed to tell the wedding party to sit down and introduce our first dance. Again, overall very disorganized and left me a bit annoyed as I’m very detail oriented and expected a lot more from him. We also had a photo montage that I noticed that he started playing before announcing it. And we purposely had it set to not auto play in fear of that, and when he did finally started to play it, it he didn’t even maximize the screen until maybe 4 pictures in! Little stuff like that drive me crazy! Completely unprepared and disorganized. SMH. Hopefully, it was noticeable to my guests but since I planned everything, I noticed everything. Everyone kept telling me, great songs! And I’ve give myself a pat on the back for that since I provided all the list of songs. All the DJ/​Emcee had to do was play it and focus on Emceeing which he couldn’t even do seamlessly.

I am the party planner for my company’s functions. This will be the third year I’ve hired Renowned Events and their Photo Booth for my company’s Christmas Party.
Michael Taylor is a joy to work with. Michael and Renowned Events were able to accommodate our very prolonged schedule. The photos turn out great and the employees have a memory to take home of their evening.
The best thing about Renowned Events is that they live up to their promises so I don’t have to worry about a thing. They always show up on time (or early) and are professional, courteous and pleasure to work with. I think they even enjoy themselves at our party.
Great company to work with. I highly recommend them.

Started off great… but ended in my complete embarrassment!
My venue had very tall walls and my DREAMM was to have the walls draped almost completely to give it an intimate/​elegant feel.
Well– they went to measure the venue and were going to drape it as high as possible to cover as much wall as possible. The original thought was that only a few feet of the walls would actually show. When I entered the room on my Wedding day I nearly cried because the walls were draped half way up the wall! Think about how RIDICULOUS that looks! The room looked EXTREMELY tacky with the drapes only covering half of the walls and the other half of the walls were the dark grey removable wall color. Because the room was so large there was no way you couldn’t notice that. It looked like they ran out of time and left the job mid-​way done.
I will NEVER forget the feeling of sadness when sitting down looking around at the room. I am near tears thinking of it now, my dream wedding ruined by the half ass job.
I cannot believe they would not think to mention this to me or suggest not draping at all if they couldn’t go higher than half way.
Customer Service was good– but that goes out the window when they didn’t deliver. I would never consider this company again nor would I recommend them
As a bride you expect a level of service from your vendors which includes common sense and integrity. If they had mentioned this to me, we could have resolved it by removing the drapes or selecting a ballroom with lower walls
Thanks for RUINING the entire ambiance of the room

I reached out to Renowned Events asking about the dispute of my review on weddingwire. The owner, got back to me right away being up front and honest. He let me know that the Emcee that did our wedding is no longer with the company and controlled the social accounts and he would get to the bottom of it.
We originally wanted Mike (the owner) to do our wedding, but he had a previous engagement. While we can’t vouch for the service others have raved about, I wanted to adjust my rating from a 1 to a 3 since the owner was very up front and the problem Emcee is no longer with the company.

As an update to my original review, nearly 1 year after our wedding, Renowned Events disputed my review on another website (weddingwire) claiming that we didn’t work together.
I had to supply confirmation that in fact they did DJ our wedding in order to have the review added back to the site.
I don’t want to point them as shady because based on other reviews they operate a good business, so we must have caught them on an «off month.» Regardless, not proper ethics to dispute reviews that aren’t favorable.

Both my fiancé and I knew a great DJ and good music was on the top of our list for our wedding. We were concerned with the cost of much of the DJs we found in our searching; either they were reasonably priced but seemed inexperienced or desperate, or they were very expensive and made us feel like they were doing us a favor by talking to us. When we spoke with Michael Taylor on the phone and then met with him in person we knew we found our DJ service. Renowned Events had multiple online planning tools to allow my fiancé and I to plan all the details of our ceremony and reception, down to how long we want our 1^st dance song to play to a minute-​by-​minute timeline of our reception. David was an amazing MC/​DJ – announcing the important events of the night without being cheesy overly-​energetic like some wedding MCs can be. I’ve never seen a dance floor consistently full as ours was throughout the night! All our guests commented on how organized our wedding was and how everything flowed perfectly throughout the night. We know this was due to the hard work from Renowned Events. Highly recommended & thanks David!

Mike Taylor did a fantastic job emceeing our wedding along with his DJ. He did exactly what we asked and it seemed like he knew exactly how to keep the party going without being the center of attention. We wanted to dance and the song selection was played masterfully to keep the dance floor full. He also coordinated with a friend of the bride at the last minute to put together a flash mob with about 40 other guests. We would absolutely recommend him to family and friends.

This review is MUCH needed and I cannot believe I waited this long to write it! Okay so here is the background: I got married in my backyard with 400+ people in August. and naturally we were freaking out so about two months before we decided we needed to hire a day of coordinator. and an MC. so I researched and found their office in Brea (local to our house) and immediately got a call back from the amazing Mike, who is the coolest most awesome MC around. who then connected me with Emiko. who is also amazing and the most awesome coordinator/​organizer guru in this business! The situation was 400+ guests, in a backyard, 30+ vendors = not an easy task to manage. So let me do a list of what renowned events provided us, and then I will continue with what a great job they did. The team set up a sound system for ceremony, Emiko came in as our day of services, Mike was our MC, they provided extra help staff to assist with setting up the wedding from placing candles around the pool, helping design the backyard with the tables and chairs, and coordinating where all of 30+ vendors will go, to making sure everything was on time and within schedule. With such a large guest count, there was additional bodies inside the house to direct people to the restroom and insure no one went upstairs, and ushers outside to help people find their way. Needless to say without them there would have been no wedding. Emiko is such a sweetheart and well organized. I felt like she was one of my friends! She did such a great job and took on a huge task and nailed it, she even had some extra «shepherds hooks» laying in her garage and lended them to me to use which we appreciate so much. She lived close by and toward the last few weeks before the wedding came countless times to our house, late night or early morning to discuss the progress and keep us on track, she works so hard. Her team came early in the morning to our house with cream cheese and bagels, and together with my mom just did their magic! Mike was our MC and we loved having him, he kept the tempo going and worked with this band/​DJ (another vendor!) flawlessly. He kept it exciting and was amazing. This team works well others, and makes sure everything gets done! Emiko took over about a month prior to the wedding and contacted all of our vendors to make sure they knew what time they had to be there, and really took a lot of the stress off of us. They also provide a photo booth, which I found out after we had hired ours, so check them out. They really provide EVERYTHING and they are local and budget friendly. Amazing team to work with. So thank you Emiko and Mike and all other others that made this day extra special!!! I cannot express how happy I am with their services. I highly recommend them for your next event!

Renowned Events did an AMAZING lighting/​décor for our wedding. Words cannot express our gratitude towards Mike Turner, Mike Taylor, and their Crew for their FANTASTIC work. The first time my husband and I stepped foot into our banquet hall, our jaws dropped to the floor! We were at awe and couldn’t believe how wonderful the place looked. The after party looked like we were at a club! Our Friends and Family ABSOLUTELY LOVED how the outcome of the lighting/​décor. We’ve attached a little wedding highlight to show you their work. The things that make them the perfect and the most awesome vendor to book:
1) Their professionalism was superb! They made us feel so so at ease from the first time we called to inquiry about their services to the very end of our wedding reception. It was so unfortunate that we have already booked our DJ and MC with a different vendor.
2) Setup was on-​time or ahead of schedule. My husband and I stepped foot into the banquet hall 30 minutes prior to our cocktail hour. and it was already set up. We were so impressed ! Thank you so much!
3) Pricing was on spot and definitely well worth the money spent! We checked out about 3 other lighting/​décor companies and either they were too expensive or was not professional or responsive like Renowned Events. We knew we had to book them when we saw some of their work on Facebook and on their website.
I would totally recommend Renowned Events to all my brides & grooms out there! Will definitely tell all of my family and friends about you guys. Thank you so much for making our wedding so beautiful and colorful!

we hired Renowned Events to do our wedding. Our wedding was on 10/​28/​2012 and they provided the Music, Lighting, and a photo booth. They were exceptional!!! All the songs were played just as i had requested and all the games were really fun (newlywed game, centerpiece giveaway, anniversary dance). The Lighting was awesome! and we got some extra clouds and stars lighting which we loved. We were also able to get a projector so we could show some slideshows of my wife and I as children. The photo booth was a huge hit! everyone loved it! The music was great and the highlight of the night was when Renowned events played PSY– Gangnam style (which I had requested through their online forms) and the place went NUTS! Everything is done online which is great and you have a final meeting with them about a week and a half before the wedding to make sure everything is all good. I am extremely happy with them and very glad I did so much research on Dj’s because I feel the DJ makes or breaks your wedding! We also hired their wedding day coordinator Emiko and she was PHENOMENAL!!! I highly recommend getting Emiko if you use Renowned events because she is worth every penny! Best money we spent the entire wedding was on Renowned events and Emiko. I want to thank Renowned events for being such a professional company and Emiko for being so kind and patient with us and everyone at the wedding. Mike was great the whole night and was always easy to get a hold of on the phone. I highly recommend Renowned events and Emiko! So if you are getting married soon and are looking for a great events company and wedding day coordinator, you just found it!

We hired Renowned Events for our Wedding. They did amazing! Michael Pearson always returned my phone calls or emails and answered every questions I had. They covered every detail of the event. Mike Taylor was super entertaining ! He kept everyone on the dance floor! And kept us informed of what was next. The games were hilarious! We had people come to us and say it was the best wedding they had attended.
The room set up was devine! The material for the draping on the back wall was classy, the uplights were just the right tone, the spotlights hit the right places.
We would definitely 100% recommend Renowned Events to all our friends and family! And when our old turn 16, we will be calling them for sure!

I was the best man at a wedding last night. Everything was just perfect. The lighting was beautiful, the music was great, and the emcee was the best I have seen. If I ever make the mistake of getting married again this will be my only call.

We hired Renowned Events as our Dj as well as photobooth provider and projector provider. They did an excellent job! We had a very difficult venue as our wedding was held in a hill top mansion, and Renowned set everything up beautifully and with ease. No wires, or distracting bulk was anywhere to be seen. I know wiring was a challenge to say the least, and they did a superb job!
Our pre-​made introductions for the bridal hit really started the party off right. We didn’t realize how important the introductions were until we went to other weddings where they simply fell flat. It was a great way to get everyone excited and with my huge bridal party with complicated names, they pulled it off perfectly!
The photo booth as a huge it! All our guests loved the idea and it duplicate strips serve as great memories for both the bride and groo, and guests. We have our photo booth scrapbook on our coffee table and it serves as a great conversation piece.
There were so many things that didn’t go as planned on our wedding day, but Renowned Events handled everything! They coordinated with my other vendors and lead everyone in keeping to a schedule as I did not have a wedding coordinator. They did such asn excellent job, family and friends thought they were wedding coordinators, and not just DJ’s.
The professionalism and technical expertise of Renowned Events is worth every penny. We did our very best in keeping to a strict budget, however, we knew that the backbone of a wedding, truly is the DJ. I shopped for months and we decided on Renowned. We have friends who are Club Dj’s, but we felt we’d rather pay for wedding professionals. Of all our vendors, we are most satisfied with Renowned Events. I rarely rate 5 stars, however, this is an exception.
Micheal was quick to respond to my multitude of demands, and last minute requests as well as help me through the process. Their online site that lays everything out is pure genius. It made wedding planning, hence, life, so much easier and less stressful. They think of everything. Including things you don’t. They helped my maid of honor with technical issues she was having burning my video montage to a dvd as well as came to set up a day before to ensure everything would be neat and clean looking.
They truly went above and beyond. By far the best money we spent as far as vendors go.

We found Michael and Renowned Events on Unilocal when we were planning our wedding. It was the best decision we ever made.
A good DJ is like food, it needs to be very good or the party is a flop. From the moment we hired him, he was very organized, detailed oriented, professional, lots of fun, and really lived up to our hopes and expectations. The dance floor was always packed from the my 3 year old break dancing cousin to my college friends to my parents and their friends, salsa, hip hop, rock, and disco, they were loving it!
Don’t work hard to find another DJ. Really. I hired this company and I didn’t need to look back once or worry. They are really great to work with and they deliver exceptional work. They truly value your business. Hire them and move onto the next item on your list!
