I was just introduced to this place & I must say OMG it was so yummy, I had the blue crab roll, avocado roll, shrimp tempora roll & the salmon roll. It was amazing. I will definitely be back. Good food, great friends what more can I say.

I ordered the 30% off hand roll. I didn’t know it was just one tiny hand roll. Yes it was 30% but I believe it wasn’t worth the $ 4 for one tiny hand roll. I suggest if you do order their roll special get the cut roll, it is a better portion size. Also the waiter seemed very awkward, and refilled my friend’s drink without asking her. I know that may not sound like a bad thing but it was another full cup of soda right as we finished our meal about to leave and she was full so we were confused because she was too full to drink it and I dunno if they charged us for another drink or if he was tryna charge us extra or not. The food was good besides that.

I am somewhat disappointed in the new ownership of Yoko Yoko. My husband and I have dined here for over 7 years and it’s always been a date night treat for us. We live in Diamond Bar and so for us this is a hometown spot for sushi and a Sapporo. It wasn’t the greatest sushi in the world before but it was solid fare, the food fresh, quick and the service friendly. The prices are now much higher and they skip on what they offer. No complimentary edamame or miso soup. We hadn’t been since the ownership changed… and wow, the difference is noticeable. I am not sure we will return when sushi restaurants in Diamond Bar are pretty abundant.

$ 5 for a cucumber roll is criminal! And you think bankers are thieves. The food quality of this place isn’t that great either. And the service is sooooo slow. As reference, there was one table sitting down, party of 2, and one take out order in front of me, probably no more than 2 rolls in his order. It was a fifteen minute wait for my cucumber rolls! Kyala across the street is a much better deal! Except I’m too cheap to shell out the few extra dollars to eat there… Samurai in chino hills is a good deal– relatively speaking– if you live close to there. P. S. I just opened my take out and discovered there were only 5 pieces of cucumber sushi… As reminder, I paid $ 5 for this… Soooo $ 1 a piece. Pics attached…

Modern and loungey interior, nice staff, short wait to get seated and for food to be served(always a plus). We went there Friday at lunchtime and got the combo box with chicken and salmon terriyaki, sushi combo, and sashimi combo. Chicken terriyaki was delicious and so were the sashimi! I was impressed by how fresh the pieces were– no fishy taste at all, salmon melted in my mouth. Cuts were medium in size, they could have been a little more generous. Overall great experience, will definitely be back and try happy hour next time!

Food was mediocre. Ordered a crab roll, spicy tuna roll, assorted sushi, tom yum shrimp soup & it was all ok but nothing really worth writing home about. It wasn’t bad, just mediocre as previously noted. Prices were pretty standard with other sushi places where I’ve eaten. Not likely to try again, though.

Yoko yoko came in here for the first time. We walked in to check out the menu. Saw they had happy hour today so we decided to try it out. I ordered the baked salmon roll and eel and avacado roll. It was quite delicious. Worth the money for sure. Would go back if ever in the area.

Damn this place really went down hill. We would come late night all the time. Was great for late night diets if you want some sashimi, and if we weren’t on a diet it was a good place in diamond bar to grab a roll and sake with a beer. First they closed at 12, then 11. And now 10. WTH. The staff was not always the friendliest but the food was good and the prices were good. Now what. Bad staff that tries to rush you out, mediocre rolls that have more rice than anything, and no more late night option. I loved this place. It was really busy at night, why would they change this?!?

I used to come here in my early 20’s as they had a nice late night happy hour and were open late. I hadn’t been here for a couple years but I was visiting a friend in DB so we decided on coming here. I paid $ 19.95 for 6 piece of yellowtail sashimi… I couldn’t believe it. That’s pricing you’d see in LA at a nicer spot for fresh stuff. Theirs was subpar quality at best, served plainly — not even a lemon slice on the side. Just poor value… I bought two bottles of Saki, one of those famous brands that they offer everywhere for about $ 12−16… here they were $ 20 each. Garlic edamame was $ 6.50 and the cucumber salad, which was probably about 1 cucumber with a little sauce and a little seaweed was $ 4.95. 6 piece sashimi«special», 2 bottles of small saki, 2 side dishes and a beer — came out to $ 85 — unbelievably bad value. Not sure what happened because the old owner/manager I used to always see was still there, but I will never come back.

Came here for dinner tonite around 7pm on a Saturday night. We were the only customers there. After the waitress took our order, we waited at our table for 15 minutes with two squirmy toddlers and no food or water. I looked over and saw the sushi chefs just standing around and wondered why they weren’t preparing our order. The waitress came back(15 minutes after having taken our order) and asks for our order again! No explanation as to how they could possibly have lost our order when we were the only table there!!! After our food finally comes out we have to call the waitress back for wasabi, soy sauce dishes, and chopsticks… stuff that should come automatically at a sushi restaurant. Food: vegetable tempura was small and not enough pieces for the price. chicken fried rice was good. dynamite roll was good size and quality for the price. agadashi tofu was good. Bill came with an extra(expensive) item on it that we did not order. Waitress corrected it with no apology. Shocked to find that with the bad service, lost order, and then to top it off our bill was overcharged, there was nothing comped. not even one tiny comped plate of edamame. nothing. food was good, but for the terrible service experience won’t be back.

I LOVE This place. My friends and family have been coming here for years as our go-to sushi place! I love the staff, they’ve always been so sweet and accommodating. However I’m so sad because they no longer have happy hour, the menu is completely different, and the prices are much higher! There goes your college student crowd! I’m so sad because now my friends and I will need to find a new sushi spot that won’t hurt our bank accounts. Apparently they’re under new management, which is probably going to hurt their business more than help it. On that note, does anyone know any other sushi spots nearby?

Very friendly staff. I tried the Healthy Poke Spring Roll, it has no rice. Omg sooo delicious! It has spicy tuna, shrimp and an assortment of fish in rice paper. This roll is a must try!

Well, this place used to have 5 stars in my book. Unfortunately they axed happy hour. Prices have now soared. While fish prices overall remain stable. We know the ENSO(or commonly known as El Niño) tends to ruin the fishing industry in south america. Yet prices for fish are stable worldwide. I find the lack of happy hour disturbing. After I got my tab, I talked to an anonymous waitress. She was kind like always. She explained there is new management and happy hour will eventually return. I sure hope so. The second star is for the waitress, so kind and understanding. Also, Jenny K. Is the new proprietor of the establishment. Read those reviews for a fair perspective.

So long and thanks for all the fish This place used to be my favorite, coming 3 – 4 times a week for happy hour. They DONOTHAVEHAPPYHOURANYMORE. If that wasn’t bad enough they changed all of their regular item prices, a crusty philly roll used to be $ 8.75 and is now $ 12.75. The yellow tail sashimi went from $ 12.99 to $ 15.75. They said they might bring happy hour back in a few months but I did the math and you’ll be paying their old full price for happy hour, not much of a deal. WORSTOFALLTHEYSKIMPONEVERYTHING. Yoko Yoko seems to been in a great location and in one of the more busier parts of Diamond Bar and their signage at night can be easily seen. So, one day I had a craving for sushi, yet I didn’t have the urge to travel outside the city, I was just feeling lazy that night. We walked into the establishment late it was perhaps 9pm and there not many people there(understandable, since they close at 10pm). The overall décor was dim and bit interesting. We were warmly greeted by what seemed like their only server that night. Our food arrived in a reasonable time, but the general appearance and taste of our food was disappointing. The sushi rolls that we ordered were loose and fell apart as we at them and the overall taste of the fish didn’t seem fresh. Pro: –Opens late, till 10pm –Ample parking Con: –Food Overview: I don’t think I’ll be returning anytime soon to this location. Their food was substandard and didn’t taste fresh. There are many competing sushi locations within the city, so I’ll be eating and trying out their locations soon.

I think they have a happy hour. And I thought I came during their happy hour, but alas, I was wrong and paid regular prices for their very okay sushi. My sister and I ordered a few rolls and some nigiri. All were very meh. I totally understand if the sashimi was not thattttt fresh since I was eating very late at night, but the sushi rolls were less than appetizing. The rolls were not in by any means generous, nor were they trying to mask the lack of freshness with an extra amount of any sort of condiment, so everything was just very. Okay. It seems to be a Diamond Bar staple and I want to encourage everyone to go, but be forewarned.
