Child Care ages 6 weeks to 5 years. At Alternatives For Children’s Child Day Care Centers our goal is to create a natural educational learning environment. We use the Creative Curriculum to guide young children in learning content and skills. The Creative Curriculum, which is linked to the New York State Standards, is an early childhood curriculum designed to foster children’s social/emotional, physical, cognitive, and language development, and to enhance learning in literacy, math, science, social studies, the arts, and technology.
History
Established in 1988.
Since 1988, Alternatives For Children’s Child Day Care Center has explored monthly curriculum themes, such as seasonal changes, cultures/traditions, healthy nutrition, and safety rules both at home and at the Center. Our focus is on offering a comprehensive, educationally sound experience emphasizing early literacy, early pre-reading and pre-writing skills, early computational skills and phonological awareness skills.
Meet the Manager
Vivienne V.
Manager
Our Child Day Care program promotes a child’s development of their imagination and language, and is designed to build independence, self esteem, and cooperation skills. Our staff provide opportunities for the children to learn through structured and unstructured group play, and improve the necessary socialization skills they will need as they grow and go on to kindergarten.
