I came here cause it’s the only one in town, but after doing my laundry there, I’ve begun to look for laundromats in surrounding towns. A lot of the machines weren’t working, although they were moderately priced. The dryers smelt like burnt hair and you had to put in two or three quarters to start the machines and a quarter for every minute or two after. The dryers had a cool down cycle that took longer than it did to dry. Last wash was at 8:30 or 9:00, but the attendant kept trying to rush everyone out early, preventing me from being able to completely dry my clothes. I only had two loads and got there at 7:00, I should have been able to leave with my clothes dried and folded, especially since I don’t mess around. Instead, I walked out with my clothes thrown in my basket, still dripping wet. I’m going to try my luck in Davis.

I walked into Schroeder’s «full service» Coin Laundry this morning to wash our sleeping bags in preparation for a camping trip. There was no one in the place except one girl(their employee) sitting on a bench reading a magazine. I explained to her that I’d like to wash my sleeping bags then have her transfer them to the dryer and my fiancé would pick them up at 2:45pm. I would pay now. She said, «Oh we don’t really do that.» I said, «Wait, you don’t do what? Isn’t this a full-service wash and fold? I want you to wash and fold my sleeping bags.» She said, «Oh well I’m off at 10:45am so I can’t do it.»(It was 8am) I thought(as I walked out and said«OK thanks»)…Wait, what does that have to do with anything? Going to The Laundry Lounge in Davis instead… they’re AWESOME!
