Dr. Allan S. Mohl is an expert in individual, marriage and family therapy. He provides counsel and compassion to his clients through social work services, and helps seniors, adults and adolescents to manage and cope with their personal situations. Dr. Mohl’s utilization of the person-centered approach allows him to be empathetic and genuine, and to make use of non-possessive warmth, a counseling element that reflects sensitivity. Each of these therapeutic qualities help Dr. Mohl effectively engage with his clients on a human level. In functioning as a mental health care professional, Dr. Mohl feels it is essential to utilize his over 50-years of social work experience to communicate and empathize with individuals who range in age from adolescents to seniors, and respect his clients as people.

Business Owner
Dr. Mohl earned a Bachelor of Arts in sociology, a Master of Arts in sociology and a Master of Social Work –all from New York University. He received a Ph.D. in health and human services from Columbia Pacific University, San Rafael in California. Dr. Mohl served as a member of the New York City Department of Education’s Special Education Committee, and as a developer of the TIP Neighborhood House Family Unit. He is also a member of The New York Academy of Sciences, the New York Disaster Counseling Coalition, the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, and the American Orthopsychiatric Association. He is currently president of The International Psychohistorical Association; he formerly served as secretary of the Westchester Branch of the New York State Society for Clinical Social Work, and he is affiliated with the International Association of Counselors & Therapists.
