Oasis Day Spa

A friend and I had both booked the special package that was listed on their website for $ 130 that included a massage and hand/​foot champagne paraffin treatment. My massage was fantastic — just the right amount of pressure and he worked on all the areas I requested. But then it just ended and the other part of my treatment was never done. When I brought this up at checkout, the receptionist was annoyed that I dared to ask for the services I had booked. After checking with the man behind the curtain, I was told they could charge me $ 120 «since you still got the massage part.» So, lesson learned — don’t expect to get what you book; do expect a nasty attitude and paltry discount when they screw it up. Also: make sure you give them a fake email address, as they will spam you with nonsense about celebrity skin treatments.

Lovely setting including locker room with showers and comfortable waiting area. Had an excellent deep tissue massage.

Scheduled an appt for 9:30 staff put me in for 9am i get their at 9:27 only to be told my Esthetician was no longer available and fully booked I was then rescheduled for 3:30pm after complaining about the mix up to the manager who’s response to me was she didn’t want to argue with/​anyone before 10am as she had called me 3x that morning to let me know about my cancelled appt if anyone knows this spa they don’t book appt’s w/​o updated information especially credit cards which I updated 2months ago apparently once again the staff updates my credit card but not the phone number how convenient but wait it gets worse to add insult to injury the owner personally calls me up 3days later stating his staff claimed I was yelling which i wasn’t «a lie» i was def upset but i definitely didn’t yell to make a long story short he told me in a nice way he didnt think I was a good fit pretty much kicked me out
Of a spa I’ve been going to for almost 4yrs REALLY… his staff books my appt wrong, his manager curses at me and my whole Saturday gets rerouted it’s unfortunate as Clara is an AMAZING ESTHETICIAN I guess these companies are so full of themselves they forgot all about CUSTOMER SERVICE…

I searched the internet for a day spa near home as I was in need of one after working 13-​hr. shifts at night at the hospital. I had a Spa & Wellness gift card for $ 100 I received for Christmas. I read the reviews and it looked good. I called and was able to make a convenient appointment. I told the receptionist that I had a Spa & Wellness gift card, and I was told that they were accepted here. So I made an appointment for a 90-​minute deep tissue massage which cost $ 175.00 and I figured I’d just pay the $ 75.00 and tip.
My therapist, Debbie, was wonderful… I give her 5-​STARS!!!
However, when I went to the front desk to pay, I was told that they DID NOT accept Spa & Wellness gift cards, only Spa Wish & Spa Finder Wellness. I made sure when I called that I specified I had Spa Wellness, especially since I know the cards are different. The receptionist said that there was nothing they could do and I asked her to get the manager. The manager said the same, even though the receptionist then admitted speaking to me yesterday, but said she didn’t hear me say Spa Wellness. There was no apology, nothing, not even how can we make this better next time. They didn’t even say there was a miscommunication, NOTHING, which pissed me off even more. I left there no longer feeling relaxed, with my $ 100.00 gift card, and was out $ 175. I made sure I saw Debbie and gave her a cash tip. Too bad she works here; I’d definitely use her services again, but not Oasis. Oasis Day Spa in Dobbs Ferry, NY, obviously does not know how to run a business and treat clients.

Good deep-​tissue massage received, attentive and friendly staff, clean/​comfortable mens locker room (good steam room — accommodates 3 people ±), decent showers. Light amenities in locker room. Nice relaxing outdoor patio and waiting lounge area. Would go back.

I had a massage with Toni and it was great. She was in tune with my problem areas and really worked through problem points I wasn’t even aware of! I will be booking my next appointment asap! The front staff was courteous and the relaxation room was nice. I can’t give 5 stars because the shower stopped working half way through which resulted in a still soapy me running home for a shower before causing major irritation. Please work on your showers. Thanks.

Made a date with my friend for massages so we could get some girl time and leave our babies at home :) she has been to oasis before but this was my First time. she had Laura and I had Rick. I normally can’t take very strong pressure especially when it comes to getting out those knots, but Rick was gentle enough and still got the knots out. He was very professional, as were the rest of the staff. Ladies room is nice and clean and relaxation room has an assortment of tea, flavored water, snacks, and magazines. This was just what I needed!

City prices in a very grim location. Reception staff are clueless as to what good customer service entails. Went with my man and we got double massages and facials. His massage was the worst of his life– my facial was painful. Only reason they get two stars is the swapped services were adequate. We will keep looking for our spa oasis. Ain’t here!
The fact the manager left an embarrassingly defensive response adds color to the staff training if coming from this guy!
Will surely stay away now.

The only spa in New York I’ve ever been to and will visit. Now don’t get me wrong I’m sure there’s tons of spas out there that will give me a great experience. However, after a relaxing day at the spa, I don’t want to walk into traffic and buzzing horns. The location in Dobbs Ferry is perfect. Maybe one day I’ll try others.
Experience:
The receptionists are always pleasant and very friendly. The changing room was clean and neat. Nothing too spectacular. The waiting area was ok, I was honestly too excited about the massage to pay attention to be honest.
My first time there was a couples massage with my wife. We then had a manicure and pedicure. Both was just lovely. We had the honey & milk pedicure. The therapist paid attention to the areas we mentioned and applied the right amount of pressure.
2^nd time:
It was just as lovely. This time I only had the 60min swedish massage. I really liked Laura (wait I think that’s her name. it was something with a L). I also wanted a pedicure but the technicians aren’t there on a Tuesday.

This time I went with the 60mins deep tissue massage. My back and body ached after a stressful work week. The therapist was amazing. Her name is Clarie, she really paid attention to my area of need (my back). She went as far as leaving a hot water bag on my back while she worked on other areas. Then after the massage a had the Honey & Milk manicure/​pedicure. The technician Alicia was very friendly and did a great job.
I can’t wait to make my appointment for next month.

I would absolutely recommend this location to friends and family.

Overall, meh. The receptionist was cordial, friendly, helpful, and wonderful. The dressing room and relaxation room are nice, nothing exceptional. I had a 60 minute couples Swedish massage, which was average, at best. Neither myself nor my boyfriend liked it. My massage was more of a rub with no firm pressure, despite me asking for a more firm massage. I asked for more attention to be paid to my arms and shoulders, which wasn’t what the therapist did. Although it wasn’t a bad experience, for the price, I would consider alternate venues first.

My husband and I love doing couple’s massages… and have done many. The women at the front desk upon check in were friendly and helpful.
The women’s changing room was ok, nothing to write home about. The relaxation area was not very relaxing, with a rattling vent above our heads.
We had a 90 minute couples deep tissue massage, and neither my husband or I enjoyed it. My massage therapist continued to massage the same spots for 90 minutes. I’ve had better 10 min chair massages at the nail salon.
I probably wouldn’t go back based on our experience.

A girlfriend suggested my husband & I go to Oasis because we’re in town, we drove up from VA and we’re beat. We called to make a appointment, but showed up an hour early. We ended up relaxing in the eucalyptus steam rooms and then sitting in the relaxing room drinking chilled water. Also, while getting ready for the massage, the lady in the front was setting aside gifts to purchase when we were done.
I had Max and I get massages regularly, but she was amazing!!! She apparently has magic hands — very healing. I fell asleep a couple times and felt so relaxed. Her pressure was perfect and I felt like butta when I came out of there.
My husband had the same compliments for his masseuse, Juan. Just what we needed after traveling in the car for hours. We are relaxed and will sleep like babies tonight!

My boyfriend recently treated me to a spa day at the Oasis Day Spa for my birthday. I had a 90 minute aromatherapy massage and a 90 minute facial. This was hands down the best massage I have had and I have had them all over the world. Ashley has magic hands. I explained to her exactly what I wanted and that is what I got. Nicole gave me a wonderful relaxing facial as well. The spa itself is immaculate and the roof top deck is a great place to relax. I will definitely be returning to Oasis soon!

What an experience!!! The ambience was exceptional; I didn’t want to leave. The facility was clean, spacious, and so relaxing. I had a wrap and scrub with Nicole which was awesome. My facial was done by Kate (she is excellent at her job and very personable) and my massage with Jim was so good. The staff I encountered were knowledgable, pleasant, and comforting. From the first person that greeted me to the guy that checked me out. I didn’t have to wait very long for each treatment. I also liked that I wasn’t pressured to purchase anything, they let the efficient staff and results sell the products. Overall, I really enjoyed my time here and will definitely be returning/​sending customers your way.

Courteous staff and an excellent massage therapist (Chris, who gives a very firm massage). However, for the price I was surprised by the crumbling tile and broken plastic cover in the steam room. The waiting relaxation room lacks a luxury feel, and instead feels like a doctors waiting room. Not sure if I will return.

The spa itself was beautiful. I didn’t like the experience.
I’m 39 weeks pregnant and I went to get a prenatal massage.
1. I wasn’t asked how I wanted my massage (firm, soft, etc.)
2. The massage felt more like a rub. My husband could have done a better job. No focus on pressure points.
3. I felt uncomfortable towards the end because she had me face up. I can’t lay face up because my belly is so big it gets very uncomfortable for me.
4. Massage felt rushed.
I’m upset I spent $ 110.00 plus tips and very dissatisfied. I will not be going to the spa again.

My facialist Jenn is fantastic. I have been seeing her for several years and have noticed a huge improvement in my skin. If this review was for her only, it would definitely be 5 stars.
Unfortunately I have had scheduling issues with several appointments including being told a different day and/​or time from what has actually been scheduled. There seems to be a lot of turnover with the front desk employees so perhaps this is part of the problem. I have also noticed a decline in some details of quality (worn-​out robes, cleanliness of showers/​restrooms) since I began coming to Oasis. If I didn’t love seeing Jenn so much I would look for another spa.

Went on a completely random Tuesday evening. You’ll just know when your body needs it. I looked online, called a few places and I was just lucky that they happened to have someone on call. Its on the fourth floor of an indoor plaza, fittingly and conveniently amid a GNC and NY Sports Club. So good, there’s that atmosphere of health and making your body happy.
Take the stairs or elevator up, depending on your ambition. Very nice entrance and boutique. Everything was displayed neatly and you actually feel like rumaging and taking something home with you that you don’t necessarily need. The place is so simple and zen that you momentarily consider starting a collection of yoga tops and moroccan oil conditioners.
A lovely, professional and well dressed woman gave me a robe and showed me into the locker area and explained where to find everything. So far it had the best layout of any spa I’ve been to. Appearance, cleanliness and practicality were all present. The stuffiness, apathy and pretention were not!
It also was a mega bonus to be the ONLY person there that evening. Having a spa facility all to ones self is like masterbation for the soul. It really is. They have four showers if you need so you dont have to ask for a special room when calling, they have you covered ahead of time. The waiting room is nice and big with plenty of seats windows and magazines. Water, hot tea and even dried fruit and nuts to munch on. How thoughtful! I snuck a couple of prunes since no one was there to judge me.
My massage therapist was nice. I did not mind at all that she was late but for the first half hour I could sense that she was preoccupied and still trying to shake off that rushed adrenaline. The room wasn’t cramped which I loved. They didn’t have tons of sheets or bolsters so if you like no fuss draping thats what you’ll get. Massage was good and what I needed. Always seems to go by so fast. The descent back to the real world is so sobering. Everything feels colder after being rubbed for an hour and a half.
I recommend sitting on their roof top to take it all in and meditate for a good bit. Then it’s back to the waiting area for more water, or a shower or run back to your responsibilities if you must. You choose, and they don’t seem to push you in either direction.
Oasis is definately a place to heal. And make sure your therapist knows whether you want to feel relaxed or rejuvinated. It makes all the difference. This is my favorite Spa in westchester as of yet.

I made a reservation over the phone (they require a credit card to hold your appointment — which is usual for most spas)
There’s ample parking below and above the spa, however, If you park underneath the building, be prepared to smell the strong chlorine fumes while you’re waiting for the slow elevator to come down.
When you enter Oasis, the décor itself is pretty nice (sitting area and a lot of shelves with merchandise ranging from the usual beauty goods to overpriced jewelry)
The service I went there for was decent (well, just okay when compared to NYC’s spas such as Exhale or Bliss or Shobha) I took stars off because the work wasn’t done meticulously and the price was identical to those in NYC…

Really nice Day Spa in Westchester with an extensive menu of services in the massage and facial categories.
Above the NYSC (New York Sports Club), it’s in a newer building which is often difficult to find parking near at off peak hours, it doesn’t give you the feeling of escape and relaxation until you are in the lobby of Oasis itself.
In fact, I’m not sure that I ever totally got the feeling of relaxation and escape, but after an hour massage and 5 minutes in the steam room, I was pretty content. My massage guy… Mitch, said I should get a 90 min. massage for me athletes shoulders. I have to admit I don’t think of myself as an athlete, but I know that swimming is turning me into a buff back lady!
Um, enough about me!!! The check in people are nice, helpful, and prompt. If it’s your first time there, they give you a brief tour. The locker room/​changing area is really nice, new still, and clean. The lockers are digital so you can set a pass code yourself.
I feel like I’ve been too spoiled by spas in California and my wonderful esthetican and massage therapist at home to truly surrender to the hands of a strange man I’ve never met before, even though Mitch did a great job, but as far as Spa’s go, this is probably one of your best bet’s in Westchester.
I’d like to give it a try in the summer and relax on that outdoor patio they have.
