History

Established in 2013.

It took us nearly ten years to find a place to live in the country that offered the solitude of country life as well as 10 acres and a barn.

For the first several years we operated a ‘hobby farm’ where we bailed hay, birthed and raised sheep, chickens, cattle and too many kittens to count. It gave us the idyllic place to finish raising our family while dabbling in some farming and sharing country living with many family and friends. Soon after the barn was emptied of the livestock & our children began moving on with their lives, our daughter Lauren got engaged. To our surprise she asked if she could get married on the farm! This is where Coop’s Event Barn began the journey to becoming a real business and what we have to offer today.
