I agree with the previous poster. It is a warm and welcoming parish. It is high on community and low on dogma. I felt the same sense of warmth and welcome as Ginelle did the first time I went there. The eleven o’clock service is as welcoming as the six. There are more people at the eleven, but the intimacy and meditative atmosphere of the six is also particularly appealing to me.

This is my first review on Unilocal but if anyone deserved it, it would have to be St. Mary’s Episcopal. I just moved to Boston and was desperately searching to find a church home and from the minute I stepped inside I knew I found it. St. Mary’s has a small congregation of very welcoming and kind people. The atmosphere was joyous especially for it to be 6 pm on a Sunday! By the time I left service I knew almost everyone by name as did the Reverend! St. Mary’s is also looking for ways to grow and expand their church which means there is a place and a need for everyone including me!
If you are in need of or searching for a new church home I would definitely give St. Mary’s a shot!
