History

Established in 1978.

We are the child abuse center for the Wiregrass region. Many people know us by our former name, the Wise Center. We are a local, independent nonprofit, and we recently joined an excellent national network of Exchange Child Abuse Centers in order to connect to resources that we can bring to our region.

Meet the Manager

Pamela M.

Manager

Pamela, our Executive Director, is passionate about our mission to protect and support families. She leads our team of counselors, provides family counseling, coordinates our Parent Aide program, and loves speaking and teaching to raise awareness of abuse through our community education programs.

Pamela has her Masters degree (Criminology, Troy University) and over 12 years of experience of working with children and familes. She has previously served as a Behavioral Specialist, Juvneile Probation Officer, Addictions Therapist, and Supervisor of a multi-​county in-​home crisis intervention program.
