The Farmhouse was cute and delicious. Everyone enjoyed their meal in their comfortable dining area. I got the Pork Banh Mi sandwich for $ 8. It’s a version of the famous BBQ Pork Vietnamese-French sandwich. Although, very tasty, it was not authentic. But it was a worthwhile culinary attempt that I recommend in Douglas. You won’t be disappointed.

I was surprised with the lack of vegan options in Saugatauk/Douglas so I ended up coming here twice for the vegan bahn mi sandwich. The second time I went they even had vegan cookies. It was really good. If you are vegan and coming for vacation just buy 2 and keep one on your room for the next day. It beats just eating hummus and french fries all weekend.

Some of the best deli sandwiches around and a great selection of cheeses. If you are hungry, make sure you stop in and get a great sandwich.

Seriously my all time favorite deli ever! Muffeleta and cubano sandwiches are my favorite! If they ever have a corn beef/ruben sandwich on special, you must get this! It is hands down the best ever!

We had an amazing lunch here. Very cute place, great artwork, amazing service, and the food is to die for! The grilled cheese with kale Caesar salad was delicious, as was the vegan bahn mi. Can’t wait to go there again.

Simple little deli. focuses on local purveyors(so we were told) and had a couple of the best sammies. Ham and Cheese was really good. They could possibly clean up/organize/their seating area though. It was really cluttered with misc stuff and hodgey podgey especially since the front part is set up cute. Kinda detracts from the overall vibe.

My new favorite… It’s been a missing entity in the Douglas/Saugatuck area. There has long a need for a good deli. So often we have found ourselves wanting to grab something to go and have been at a loss. I love the egg«Sammy» sandwich. But my true favorite is the carrot cake. And I justify it for breakfast, lunch and dinner because after all it’s filled with fruit and vegetables. I want to try everything on the menu and I’ll get there eventually, but I couldn’t wait to write this review to tell you, thank you!

I stopped in to the Farmhouse Deli and ordered a Cuban sandwich. The deli has a wonderful version of the sandwich that was full of flavor. I ordered a side of muffuletta pasta salad. That was really awesome because I had considered getting that sandwich :) This place is certainly worth a visit because the food was tasty and the staff was very friendly.

Fantastic selection of salads and sandwiches with a twist. Highly recommend trying soups which apparently change everyday and the«trio of salads.»

We stopped here to try their sandwiches: the boy got a vegan banh mi, and I got the belly buster without the cheese. Couldn’t be happier with our choices! The belly buster is aptly named, since it was delicious, but it did take me a while to finish despite loving every bite. The boy liked the slaw on his banh mi, too. The deli case has tempting selections like artichoke hearts and cipollini onions marinated in balsamic vinegar. I do feel like the onions could have used something sweet to offset the tartness, though. Services is adequate, although we stopped in before heading back this morning and the guy minding the cash register was a bit surly.

My boyfriend and I have came here quite a few times this summer. The food has been outstanding each time, and the inside is adorable. Although, an older man who was taking the orders came off as rude right when we walked in. The family ahead of us misheard his question and repeated it to him as if he were stupid! Then when we walked up, we were not greeted nicely and it didn’t even seem like he wanted to be there. Sorry but service is important. Maybe crack a smile once in a while dude! Other than him, the food is amazing here! I recommend the egg salad sandwich or the belly buster! Of course we will be returning, but if he is rude, I will not be coming back!

We stopped here on a road trip heading north. I’d heard Douglas was a cute town and found this place listed on TripAdvisor, so decided to give it a shot. We wandered in and ordered sandwiches– me a tofu banh mi, and him a muffaletta. They take about 10 minutes to prepare from scratch, and while we waited we added things to our order including interesting regional chips and some carrot cake. Plenty of vegetarian options, and lots of tempting baked goods, salads, and soups as well. Our order was to go, and we took our sandwiches to the«downtown» area where there were picnic benches on the water. There is a seating area as well, if you want to stay and eat. We were both really, really impressed. Excellent bread, and really creative flavours. On mine, the marinated tofu was set against pickled matchstick veggies, as with traditional banh mi. Then, there were also regional greens such as chard, and some nice chill sauce. His muffaletta had a lovely lemon mayo as well as quality meats and cheeses.

Pork Bahn Mi. Yes, yes, and yes. Perfect amount of spice, good flavor, delicious. Great customer service. Walked in and went to counter. Immediately welcomed, I asked a few questions about salads and was promptly offered samples. I will come back for curried carrot salad. It was awesome. Crisp, fresh and great combo with golden raisins… one of my favs. Sandwich was served within 5 – 10 minutes and it was still lunch crowd, 12:45. If you are looking for unique sandwich made of fresh ingrediants, I’d stop here.

Best pastrami sandwich ever. I loves me some pastrami, and this was the best execution of a pastrami sandwich I’ve ever tasted. The pastrami was lean, and generous but not piled so unnecessarily high as to be larger than my mouth. The prices are not cheap, but the sandwich sizes are large enough to possibly be shared by two people, and the quality is outstanding. But $ 2.50 per cookie? Really? Good thing the pastrami sandwich was delicious enough to make me(almost) forget about the outrageous prices for baked desserts.

Wonderful local deli and store! Hidden gem, food is unique and delicious. Everything we tried was delicious — the BLT, Turkey Club, Bellybuster and Kale salad. Wish we had more time to sample the rest of the menu. Very fresh! Stop in, you won’t be disappointed! Oh, their homemade scones are the bomb — get them first thing in the morning!

Local fare– fantastic. Soups charge daily equally solid. Green drinks? Check. Can’t find Balsamic vinegar in the local bland grocery? Look no further– it’s a treasure trove for those seeking the higher ground in interesting eats. Samples are plentiful and deeeelicious

Best lunch I’ve had! I don’t usually write reviews but I got the salad trio with curry carrot salad, chicken salad, and Asian noodles and it was amazing! My husband got a sandwich that was phenomenal as well! Quality ingredients and good portions! I can’t wait to go back! I seriously can’t stop thinking about that curry carrot salad!

Came in on a Saturday for a sandwich, and to give this place a try. The flow of business isn’t 100% clear when you walk in. You walk in to retail space and the deli order counter is 15ft past the entrance. Where you order your food there is a clear view of a grubby kitchen area, this made me chose to not order at all. My husband ordered but the staff member taking my order lacked attention to detail. My husband ordered the veg head sandwich, which was nothing memorable but the potato salad was tasty. I hope this place gets their stuff together. In a town with a significant seasonal revenue, they will not be in business long if their problems are not remedied. I would not return based upon this experience.
