Music, Dance & Art School of Douglaston

If you have children and you are looking to enroll them into music, dance, or art classes then this school is the place to go. The variety of programs offered along with the very knowledgable and gifted teacher make this a great local establishment. Parents and children are always smiling and they have lessons and programs for all levels, from first time beginners to advanced. The teachers and staff are very courteous, friendly, and most of all care about their students. My nieces go here and looks forward to coming back every week. They tried a few other schools in the area prior to finding this one and none of them compared to this school. A terrific place. They also have lessons for adults as well. Just a great all around place and local business.

My son and I began taking piano lessons here five years ago (him, at age 5). Thanks to the skilled and nurturing guidance of our teacher and school co-​owner, Anna, my son can read music and play piano beautifully. Anna is a gifted pianist as well as a gifted and patient teacher, and works wonderfully with both young and older students. She is always very flexible in trying to meet our needs, scheduling changes, etc., and has helped us learn pieces both classical and modern. Highly recommend.

Excellent music school. The best thing is the commitment of the teachers to actual teaching and really making sure the students are fully engaged and getting the most out of their lessons. These days it’s hard to find a place that has people that care but the management seems to make it a priority. Highly recommend.

This is an excellent music school for children of all ages. I started taking my son there recently and wish I discovered it sooner. The instructors are skilled with working with all types of children and are both patient and personable. This is a professional establishment where the two owners, Rita and Anna, make it their mission to personally know each student and try to accomodate their needs. in addition to music lessons, the school offers a variety of other classes for enrichment.

What a wonderful music school! The owners, Rita and Anna, make it a purpose to hire highly qualified and nurturing teachers. My son has been in this school since he we three. He is six now and plays the piano quite fluently. He reads music and has an excellent ear for it. Students have the opportunity to preform about twice a year which is always a real treat. The school offers dancing and art as well.
