Our steak and cheese subs are made from top of the line choice steak. We cut and cube the steak by hand. Our burgers are fresh, veggies are sliced daily, also our bread is baked daily from Fantini bakery. Our business is locally owned and operated. Our chicken wings are fresh and if you don’t like them plain we can mix them in with some Baby Rays sauce.

We opened in May of 2001 and we been serving up a quality product since.

Food here is horrible. I’ve tried this place a few times just to give them the benefit of the doubt and every single time is worse than before. I’m done giving them chances. The pizza is disgusting, the salads are bland and pricey for what you actually get, the chicken fingers taste and look like a six year old made them… no thank you.

Papa Jays is perfect for a lazy day you don’t want to cook. They have fast delivery, and their delivery man listened to my detailed instructions to «keep staying awesome,» as he reminded me when he dropped our food off.
I got two salads, a steak tip and a chef. I loved how tender the steak was, and it was already chopped to bite size pieces. The meat tasted fresh and the veggies were all crisp. Definitely should have grabbed another dressing, but that is my bad. :)
We had cheeseburgers there about a month ago that weren’t anything spectacular, but very tasty and messy — how I like my burgers.

Where do I even begin?
I grew up in the NYC-​area, so my pizza standards are fairly high. I am aware of this, so when a friend offers me a weird-​looking slice from some local place I know it is going to probably be bad…
I took one bite and was done. Okay, stuff can still be «not tasting like pizza at all» and still taste like food. This is awful! Crust is dry and tastes like cardboard, sauce is bitter, but sugary and overcooked. Cheese tastes like chopped up American cheese or something. My parents actually were visiting and got a pizza from here since it was near the hotel. They threw it out. I found out because they warned me about this place.
In addition, the SERVICE is bad. Some friends went here for a sandwich deal advertised on the sign. They were charged full price, and asked about the discount. They were told «You could have just seen that sign when you were coming in.»
Okay, so you are crazy and your food is awful… how does this place stay open again?

I ordered for the first time tonight. The meatball sub was excellent. The Greek salad, not so much. In fact, it was the most expensive and the WORST Greek salad I have ever had. I packet of Ken’s Greek dressing. Really? $ 8.99 for iceberg lettuce, 2 slices of green pepper, 3 cucumber slices and two slices of tomato. Feta? I guess I saw a piece or two. I’m guess I paid $ 5 too much. I will order again, but obviously I will not be getting any of their salads.

Boring pizza. Customer service leaves something to be desired. Last order from here was completely wrong and they didn’t seem to care. They also didn’t make any effort to correct the situation. There’s also a delivery charge which MANY other places in Dover do not have.

Tried it once and the only reason I gave it 3 stars is because of the employees. I’ll wait and try again in the future, hopefully they’ll hit the spice rack for some flavoring.

HEYYY Papa Jay’s! Like the first reviewer said, their pizza is bland. My husband is a big fan, because there is always some kind of deal or coupon, so you can get it on the cheap. Also their one pound of fries one pound of tenders is a good deal. My favorite is their potato skins, a little pricy but wayyyy tasty. So even if you’re like me and you don’t care for their pizza, they have a great selection of sandwiches and other good menu items to keep you satisfied. Their delivery is always prompt, and things are hot when they arrive. They deliver beer too, unlike those corporate pizza places in the area. Anyways. If you’re in the Dover area and want delivery, call Papa Jay’s, they won’t disappoint.

It’s OK. Pizza’s kind of bland. It’s just kinda… there. Neither good nor bad. The pizza sauce has no character, or indeed flavor, at all. They have two tables, so consider this place pickup or delivery only, but they have even less parking so unless you can walk there, consider for delivery only.
