I fully agree with the other 5 star reviews of Robbie’s. From the first moment of contact, Robbie and his staff were assuring, kind, competent and dedicated PROFESSIONALS. Our car had been victimized by a drunk hit and run driver (the details are too long to recount). Our insurance company of course tried to steer us to one of their «preferred» shops. Well, it’s MY car and MY PREFERENCE counts the most. I wanted OEM parts, and that’s what we got. I wanted someone who would work for ME, not my insurance company. Robbie was all that and more. In fact, even though the car is only about a year old, I think it looks better now than when we drove it away from the dealership! Seeing your car damaged is painful; seeing it fully repaired the right way by people who know their business better than anyone else is a true pleasure. This is the place to go if you have damage. (I never knew they also do detailing!). Thank you, Robbie!

Robbie’s defines the meaning of exceptional, and if you are looking for an auto body shop that surpasses your expectations, then look no further. This is the second time I have gone to Robbie’s in the past year, and I can not thank them enough for what a wonderful job they did repairing my car. I was worried about if my car could be fixed, how insurance plays in, and had many other questions that Jaime from Robbie’s helped me with. They were prompt in their responses to my questions, and they go above and beyond for their customers. I highly recommend them and thank them for all that they did for me and my Subaru Crosstrek!

I came here after being hit by a distracted driver. The staff was relatively friendly compared to most auto-​shops. The repair took much longer than it should have considering that my car wasn’t too badly damaged. Another issue is they stole a few things from my car and so far i have not had any help in getting the items back. The repair is decent as the car seems to be in decent shape.

After being hit by a terrible driver, I opted to go here based upon proximity and the good reviews found here and elsewhere.
Quality of the repair work looks good, but there are a few issues:
1). The custom license plate holders I had on my front plate were not returned.
2). A tube of Orajel was left in the car console. It wasn’t ours. Gross.
3). A body color bolt was left just hanging out in the grill area below the windshield. No idea where it came from but it’s the same color as our car.
4). Repair took over two weeks, that seemed excessive given the level of damage.
5). I spoke to Robbie twice on the phone. On both occasions he insisted on telling me how cheap the insurance company was. I will note here that this was not my insurance company but rather that of the idiot who hit us. On the second occassion of his whining about them, I cut him off, again explaining this was not my insurance company, but then he went on with something like «Oh, you don’t want to listen to my problems?!»
No, I don’t. I heard your tale of woe the first time. Do you want to listen to my financial hardships, Robbie? No, and I wouldn’t want to share them with you either as they are not relevant, just as yours are not relevant to me.
Finally, I asked them to check one aspect of the car after the repair was complete. When I picked up the car I asked the woman at the desk if it was. She saw no sign that it was, but attempted to contact Robbie by phone to find out. He was not available and I have never heard from them about it since. No followup at all.
Sorry to say that my overall experience here was a C. Thanks for the dog stuffed animal and shopping bag, though.

So, I bought a beautiful 2013 Volkswagen Jetta GLI. I absolutely loved the car. That being said, 1.5 weeks after getting the car I got into a nasty accident where someone stopped short in front of me and I couldn’t stop in time. I was devastated. That being said, I have a solid feeling that the car wouldn’t be totaled, so when I began researching where to take my car, I couldn’t find an automotive/​collision shop that had better reviews than Robbie’s. I got in contact with my insurance company, who tried pushing me to go to one of their ‘concierge’ shops, but the reviews were ³⁄₅ stars and not good enough for me. If I was going to keep the car or use it for a certain period of time, then I wanted the repairs to be done by the BEST. I contacted Robbie’s and Robbie was the person to actually answer first. He explained to me the process, made assurances that they would do everything necessary to fix it as best as humanly possible, and that he would personally be by my side through this, since he picked up the phone when I called. I felt really good about taking my car there. I live in central NJ, so Robbie’s is about 1 hour away from me, however it was 100% worth it. During the repair process, Robbie’s CONSTANTLY stayed in touch with me and gave me updates/​status. They even invited me to visit the shop while the car was being repaired, so they could shop me the shop and how my car was coming along. After that they sent me pictures of my car during each step (breakdown, paint, assembly). In my opinion there are 2 big parts to the overall repair process when dealing with a shop. The communication factor and then the actual quality of work. On the communication front, Robbie’s was exceptional and great to deal with. They dealt with insurance and kept me out of any tasks or things that I didn’t need to be further burdened with.

When I went back to get my car it looked AWESOME. The work was done with great attention to detail. Robbie was even helpful in using genuine Volkswagen parts, which was my preference and his recommendation. The gaps and seams of the fenders, hood, bumper were just like new! The paint was pristine and it honestly looked brand new. Keep in mind that these are human beings working on the car, so it’s not like when a manufacturer puts the car together in their factory with robots, however Robbie’s gets pretty darn close! I am super detail-​oriented, so I scanned the car meticulously to find any issues or things I was not 100% happy about. I will be honest and say there were a couple small items that I brought up to Robbie and the team that I wasn’t fully satisfied with, however he made sure he drove everything to closure. One example I want to give (because it depicts Robbie’s work ethic) was that the AC in my car was not really cold when I test drove the car. This was on a Friday (around 4:45pm) when I brought it up to Robbie and they close at 5pm. Robbie immediately brought the car into the shop and looked for the root cause for 2 hours until they resolved the issue. There was a tiny, hairline crack in the AC fuse which was so hard to see with the blind eye, but they stayed super late on a Friday night, when they could have just asked me to come back another day to look at it, so they could start their weekend. However, they made sure I drove away happy that day! My car looks and drives great.
These are the type of professionals you want to deal with and I highly recommend them to you. I had a lot of damage to the car (around $ 9,000), but they did an absolutely exceptional job and I am so pleased with them with this big job. I dont wish an accident or damage to anyone’s car, however dealing with this place of business was a pleasure! Robbie and his team are professional, dedicated, and courteous. I really felt like a part of the family since the first moment I dealt with them and it was fully worth the 1 hour distance to take my car to the BEST I could find.

We have been there now three times in the last three months, different issues with each of the cars. Professional and courteous, definitely felt comfortable that I was getting a fair shake, something that I think a lot of people are searching for with automotive her body repairs. Was given alternatives on repair options, pros and cons of each, all of them were low cost, lower than other quotes we received. The jobs were done well and done quickly. Dealt directly with Robbie on two of the three repairs and I absolutely will not hesitate to use them again for any and all service going forward. Would definitely recommend to others.
Also, if it means anything to you, they have a nice clean comfortable and air-​conditioned waiting area.

I hate getting my car fixed. I hate the anxiety of feeling that I am being taken advantage of and lied to, which many garages are like. (In my experience). I hate insurance and claims and all that goes with it. And. with all of that… I LOVE ROBBIE’S AUTOMOTIVE! Hands down the best experience I have had EVER. Easy and seamless appointments. HONEST, friendly and informative staff. Everything was explained and accurate timeframes for repair provided. Complete explanation of pricing was also provided and the amounts were fair. My claim was processed quickly and when I picked up my car… the work was amazing. It looked like a brand new vehicle. I had to ask…“did you guys clean my car?” because I could not believe what I was seeing. Boy did they ever! These folks really care about their work, your vehicle and their customers. I will never take my car anywhere else! Glad to know you are full service as well. I will gladly give my business to the local honest facility instead of the overpriced, oily dealership. Everyone here is so friendly and professional. They did a great job fixing my car after a fender bender and even called to check a few days later to make sure everything was to my satisfaction!

I had an epic battle with the frame of my garage door, and the garage door won. Not my finest driving day, but these things happen. I ended up with a dent on my right front fender and a lot of white house paint on the side of the fender.
Went to Robbie’s after scouring the internet and reading the great reviews. When you walk in, it’s not your typical bodyshop, it’s clean, comfortable and the reception person, super friendly. I filled out a small questionnaire and was paired with Ken, who is a really nice guy as well. He looked at my car, and expressed a slight concern over where the dent was, so he asked a co-​worker to take a look. They both agreed the car would be «95% perfect» by using a «paintless dent removal» which meant 95% better than it looked now! They quoted «about $ 300» and that I would have to leave the car. I used their super-​convenient drop off box the night before.
Got a call the next day at about noon! I was thrilled they were able to get it done so quickly. The car looked amazing, I could not see where the dent had previously been, it was completely removed! I had been looking at that dent for a week, and now it’s completely gone. The best part: The final bill was $ 300.00 plus tax ($ 321.00).
Hey, you never want to have to go to a bodyshop and thankfully, I’ve only had to go a few times in my nearly 50 years, but there is no reason to go anywhere else. I couldn’t be happier that I chose Robbie’s and based on my review and that of hundreds of others, I hope you chose this shop and have the same experience.

So this place is really outstanding! I initially took my car to Paul Miller Collision and wasn’t very confident that they really cared about me or my car. I have a one year old BMW and my insurance company wanted to put refurbished wheels on my car and only paid me $ 47 per day for a rental car and the actual cost was $ 67 so I was $ 20 a day out of pocket. When i expressed my dissatisfaction with the situation, A friend suggested that I take my car to Robbies. The damage done to my car was caused by the person that carelessly smashed into me so Robbie explained to me that I should go through the insurance company of the person that hit my car. With a couple of calls to insurance companies Robbie got me on the right track. The Staff at Robbies had my car picked up and started the work immediately. The staff was professional and friendly, the shop was beautiful and spotless and the work done to my car was perfect. they used all new BMW parts (not refurbished) and the other guys insurance company paid for the full cost of my rental car. Its no wonder why this place is so successful, they really care about the customer and it shows!

Best Auto Body Repair and Detailing Shop Ever! Very professional staff, great communication and awesome work. Walked in for an estimate on a Saturday and Robbie came out an wrote up the job, took a picture of the damage and sent it to his contact for a parts price. Estimate came back 1 day later on a Monday. Then I waited 6 months or so to get the car repaired without having to do another estimate. Original estimate was still valid. Scheduled work which was estimated to be done in 3 — 4 days. Got a call on Friday to confirm Monday appt. which I never heard of a body job doing. Then on Wed day 3 around noon received a call that the car would be ready for 5 pm pick up. I totally expected the car the car to be ready on at least Friday afternoon. Super fast service, Picking up the car was fast an easy. Got a bottle of water, key chain, grocery bag and a stuffed dog for my daughter. The repair work was stellar! The car looked brand new, Cleaned inside and outside. Had it detailed inside and most of the stains on the fabric seats came out. Highly impressed with the quality of the work, price was reasonable, great customer service and the added touch at the end of the little care package goes a long way. Will recommend Robbies to anyone and will use their services again if I need too.

Went for a quote on my damaged vehicle. Once Robbie heard who I was insured by, I was informed that the job would require additional funds out of pocket. He stated some insurance companies don’t pay as much as others to cover his «quality of work». The overhead must be quite high which is easy to believe considering the vinyl wrap advertisements on NJ Transit buses I’ve seen, his private office with wood floors and the plush stuffed animals he gives each customer. The shop sure is state of the art and I’m sure he does great work which he stands behind, but his ego/​attitude have me looking elsewhere.

Could not be more complimentary of this shop. We moved to NJ from Oregon and I was involved in an accident. I had no idea who to use and the tow truck driver recommended Robbies. Here’s the amazing thing, they turned down the job and the insurance company wrote off the vehicle. Robbie himself contacted me and basically said that while they could fix it he didn’t want to. Who does that?! Anyways, my wife’s car was hit recently and we didn’t hesitate to have it taken to Robbie’s for the repair. He did an excellent job, met us after hours so that we could pick it up and has followed up on the repairs since. These guys are great!

This is the nicest, most professional body shop anywhere. Everyone is so nice and you can tell that Robbie doesn’t let anything leave unless it’s perfect. I highly recommend this place.

Robbie is great. He remembers his customers very well. His crew is amazing and the customer service is awesome. I got rear ended and had to replaced my bumper. He did it in one hour so that I don’t have to rent a car, which is very convenient for me. I would recommend him if you want to fix your car body.
