We are a general book shop that deals in used and occasionally rare books.

With over 35 years in the business we pretty much know what we are doing and strive to give good value.

History

Established in 1977.

We first opened a shop about a mile from the campus of Notre Dame. We carried both new and used books. In general we discovered students do not read recreationally and closed after five years. I continued to sell used booKs through various antique malls while working full time in an unrelated business. Olympia was opened in 1987 at it’s present location in the town of Dowagiac Michigan, population 7,000. Dowagiac is a literary oasis and is a great place to live. Although walk in traffic has fallen, I was present at the birth of e-​commerce and reaped the rewards.
