Been going here for years. Very good care, both for cleanings and care or teeth such as fillimgs, crowns, night guard. Dr. Is very friendly, professional, and takes good care of our family’s dental needs.

Dr Mazar is great! The office focuses on making the patient feel comfortable and know that their smile is being taken care of! Recommend for someone looking for a new dentist!

I’ve been coming here about fifteen years and they’ve always done an excellent job caring for my teeth. The doctor and his assistant are always pleasant and enjoyable to see. The dental heigenist is excellent and also makes my visits fun.

I am so grateful for the dentists at Elite Dental Care. After several awful experiences with dentists, I can finally say I found a dentist I can trust. More than willing to keep driving all the way to them from the city to continue my care here. You should check them out. I found them on Groupon and am using their services for an implant procedure. First step is done. They were SO very helpful, answered all my questions. Took the time to make sure I felt safe and comfortable. Getting a screw implanted into my jaw terrified me and I can happily say that hurt less than getting cavities filled at other places I have been to. SO so thankful for Elite Dental Care.

I have been a patient here for 12 years! Nothing but good comments for the doctors, assistants, and office staff! They are all great with a tender touch for my too firs!!! Highly recommended!!!

Really like this dental office. My dental work has been stellar, the staff is very courteous and the wait times are low. My only con is that the hours don’t mix well with my schedule and it takes months to get Saturday appts. I will say they have worked great with me on this, even letting me bring my little guy in when needed!

Absolutely LOVE this dentist office the staff is amazing! It’s a drive for me but truly worth it! I would recommend everyone to Dr. Mazar in a heartbeat. :)

BEWARE!!! Unless you have a pile of money to hand over to the dentist DO NOT go here! While their work is very good they are not HONEST about what the total COST is going to be. After apply for GE care credit for $ 3600 and my dental insurance paying $ 2000 I was under the impression that I had covered the total cost of my treatment — but NO when I went for what I thought was my final appointment I was told I owed an additional $ 2000! I am still paying off GE and have a missing tooth since I was unable to pay the additional $ 2000. I feel I was not FULLY INFORMED of what the TOTAL treatment was going to cost. If I was fully informed I could have just had my tooth pulled — which would have been covered by insurance instead of ending up owing GE and having an unfinished procedure.

Excellent dentists and technicians. The billing process and office manager are an absolute NIGHTMARE!!!
I’ve received statements saying I owed several hundred past due dollars. When I ask for an explanation the office manager refuses to provide a breakdown showing procedure cost, what I paid, what insurance paid and what’s still open. Not a lot to ask for just to ensure they are accurately billing me — important as I’ve found major errors 3 times in the past. What I’m told to do is contact my insurance company. Definitely NOT a customer focused process.
I’ve been going for several years and have finally reached my breaking point, especially after a recent call when the office manager told me she was not going to provide a breakdown until AFTER I paid the outstanding balance — which I have no idea why I owe.

When my husband and I moved into the area, we tried finding a dentist closer to our house. We got a flier in the mail for Elite and decided to give them a try. I can’t even recall what absurd things they tried to get my husband to pay for, so we’ll stick my story. I had a filling break, and the cavity was so deep, I ended up needing a root canal. They got me in right away, the root canal was painless and I got my crown put on not too long after that. This was around February of 2012.
A month or so later, I went for a cleaning. After the hygienist cleaned my teeth, she told me I had to come back to see the dentist. What? Two visits for a routine cleaning? I’ve been going every six months for a lifetime and have never had to do that. Apparently that’s normal there, because he didn’t have time to see me. So, I had to go back and saw him. He said after x-​rays and my examination, he recommended I got TWELVE fillings. Yes, 12. That’s like 75% of my teeth that I could possibly get a filling on. They wanted to do 7 the first round, 5 on a second visit. I went to my old dentist to get a second opinion. I needed ONE filling, and said she has to keep an eye out on the second. Needless to say, I didn’t return.
Why am I just reviewing them now, you ask? Last weekend, my husband and I were out to dinner. While I was chewing on a piece of bread, my crown, that I just got February of last year, fell out. I went to my old/​current dentist Monday morning. The reason why it fell out was because it wasn’t sized correctly, and what was left of my tooth after the root canal wasn’t shaved down far enough. The tooth eventually caused a small hole in the crown, and then my saliva seeped into the crown, causing the cement to come undone. Since the crown I have has a hole in it, she’d have to try to fix it, but I’d most likely have to pay for another crown. I already paid over $ 700 for my crown last year. She also said since my tooth wasn’t shaved down enough, she’d have to do that, and it could cause problems, etc. So, in conclusion, we are just going to try out not replacing it with anything, and now I’m pretty much out a molar tooth.
I know I’m not going to get my money back. I’m sure they’d offer to fix the crown, but it still wouldn’t fit correctly in my mouth, and I am not going back there. They are extremely nice and pleasant people there, especially the young lady who works the front desk, if she’s still there, and it’s a nice office. However, that’s not what I look for in a dentist. I am not happy to be out this amount of money and a freaking tooth!

I love them. They are friendly and informative. They also offer dental sedation (which I need because of horrible past experiences at other places). Loooooove them!

While I feel weird giving a dentist 5 stars, I think that yes, they are as good as it gets… in dentistry.
I originally went here with a Groupon for two dental implants. You may be surprised that Groupon offers these kinds of deals, but there are actually many, especially Summer ’12. However, as someone who was looking at these deals specifically, I know that this one was the best because they were the only ones offering temporary and permanent crowns with this cost. The rest just offered the screw. I snatched it and made an appointment immediately. (They also have coupons for cleaning in ValuPak envelopes.)
If I were treated any differently because of the Groupon, it would be a positive difference. They charged me for the sedation, but at a discounted price, and got the second sedation for free. They worked with me and gave me a flat low rate for bone grafting, no matter how much I needed. They have worked with me to pay as little as possible, and always fit me into the schedule. The staff is incredibly friendly. With my (now fixed) oral predicament, I’ve seen many the dentist in my lifetime, and this office is the second friendliest I’ve ever been to.
The reigning dentist is cheating. He was our TX realtor’s boyfriend and he had a free arcade machine. To a 5^th grader, this is very important.
While they tend to run late getting you in there, I blame this on being friendly and thorough, the waiting room is really comfy and offers their patients drinks. (I am too scared that they charge for them, so I’ve never taken one. Who offers Starbucks frappuccinos for free?!?)
While very few, there are some negatives about this place. The lateness, yes. I do kind of get a feeling of a car salesman or repair shop, always finding something wrong, always getting me a «good deal», but I do have a lot wrong, as well as trust issues when it comes to dentists. However, I think they are for your interests and not purposely swindling you. Finally, I was a bit concerned about the guarantee of the implants. 1 year no questions asked, 5 (additional?) years if you keep up with your cleanings at this office. I have been quoted at a 800-​implants place for lifetime warranty, but no such luck at this office. «Life is a long time». Let’s hope that these puppies don’t break! Knowing my luck, they will on year 6.

Went here earlier this week, I found a lot of reviews for Elite outside of Unilocal (I know… for shame)… but the reviews were all good. There was no waiting and Dr. Shuaipaj was very honest about my teeth… it of course helps that I basically didn’t have any problems, but again he didn’t push for anything like the first review had mentioned. The assistants were very friendly, but they did not offer me a gold star for no cavities :)
I’ve already told my wife to make an appt here and once my kid is old enough, I’ll be taking her there as well.

Wayne Sabaj is smiling.
It’s been nearly four months since he found $ 150,000 hidden beneath the peppers in his backyard garden in the far northwest suburbs, and now Sabaj, 50, looks like a new man.
He was unemployed, broke, had a mouth full of painful rotting teeth and a scraggly beard and hair that, by his own account, made him look like a hillbilly.
Now, his closest friends can barely recognize him.
He hasn’t spent a dollar of the cash. It’s not his yet. He filed a claim for it, and if no rightful owner comes forward within a year, there’s a good chance he’ll get to keep the money.
Every tooth in his mouth was pulled — replaced by dentures and paid for by a dentist who wanted to do something nice because he couldn’t believe Sabaj turned in the cash to authorities.
«I can talk to people and smile without worrying about my teeth,» said Sabaj Friday after getting his dentures adjusted at Elite Dental Care in Downers Grove. «And I figured, ‘I got new teeth, I might as well get cleaned up and shave and get a haircut.’ It’s a whole new Wayne. Before I looked like I should be on the Jerry Springer show… now my friends say I look 20 years younger,» said Sabaj.
«His demeanor has totally changed,» said Dr. Mazar Shuaipaj. «He was reserved, shy, didn’t want to smile.. .. Now he’s a smiling extrovert.» The dental care cost just under $ 10,000.
Sabaj, a carpenter by trade, has found a few short-​term jobs, too.
«Just last week I was up in Winnetka using wood pulled from old barns up in Wisconsin to frame a wine cellar.. .. It’s not full time, but things are better,» said Sabaj, who’s lived with his father and son in unincorporated McHenry County near Johnsburg since losing his home a few years ago.
Sabaj found the cash in his garden in late August when he went to pick some broccoli for dinner. The money was wrapped in plastic and stuffed in two nylon bags.
«Somebody will probably claim the money just before the year is up,» joked Sabaj, who says he doesn’t think about the cash often. «If I do get it, I’d like to buy a beat-​up old house real cheap and fix it up so my son could live there.»
The McHenry County Sheriff’s office continues its investigation into the where the money came from.

First, my biased opinion: Nice assistants, but this practice is not worth recommending to friends or family.
Facts:
1. On my first visit, Dr. Shuaipaj recommended some $ 1600 worth of treatments. Practicing common sense, I sought a second opinion with another dentist who told me I only have 1 cavity, cost: $ 250.
2. Not sure why, but they’ve been billing the WRONG insurance for the past year. Finally I received a bill a year later stating insurance denied payment, and that I owed $ 800+ in dental treatment. Called my dental insurance, who told me they never even made the claim, even though I’ve called their office many times to let them know they were billing the wrong insurance.
