History
Established in 1965.
In 1965, Ben Newhouse founded our company as Illinois Time Recorder. For over 20 years, ITR concentrated on time clocks, master clocks, and other time recording equipment. In 1989, the business was sold to the Neville family, and the company began growing.
Our systems division has expanded to encompass access control, local sound and rescue assistance systems, as well as video surveillance, guard tour and burglar alarm systems. We are an authorized dealer for over 20 different manufacturers.
In 2009, we re-branded our company. The name «Illinois Time Recorder» was a good fit for our clock customers, but did not make sense, for example, to our fire alarm customers. We created a new logo and a new moniker: ITR Systems.
In 2014, ITR sold our mechanical time clock division to Nextime in Oak Park, IL. We continue to offer the latest in software-based time and labor management systems, as well as retaining all other product offerings.
