Advance Radiator & Air Conditioning Service

This is my third time bringing my car. Recommended by my father-​in-​law. Last time, A/​C broke, Honda dealer told me $ 168, he only charged me $ 73 and fixed it in 20 min. This time my car didn’t start, another mechanic said to change the wires or get a new battery. He took me in right away and diagnosed the battery and charged it full, and didn’t even charge me!!! Honest man! Our whole family go there.

Honest, Honest, Honest! I’ve been bringing my cars to Chris for over 3 years and I also referred my friends and family members and they always leave happy. The prices are extremely fair and the work done is excellent. I have peace of mind coming here and knowing my mechanic is honest and does professional work.

For sure I agree with most of the reviews here, horrible customer service. There’s a lady answering calls behind a booth and doesn’t acknowledge customers, not even a smile! It’s already intimating as a girl asking for help to fix her car, and they treat people like we are just wasting their time asking questions. I absolutely have no idea about fixing cars so I went here to inquire about fixing my car’s AC. I asked what the average would be to fix my car and the guy who was «helping» me said it can range from $ 200 to $ 1000 so cut it in the middle and it’ll be about $ 600. Uh, that’s not how an average works! Didn’t even ask if my car was blowing air or not, what kind of car it was, nothing. I was consulting this with my dad and meanwhile the guy went to the telephone to make a call like if our conversation was over and I was just standing there! So awkward so I just got back in my car and left. I highly recommend Lynn’s Auto Air on Woodruff. Do your research!

I found this place on Unilocal and decided to do a diagnostic on my air condition that blows cold then warm air. The diagnostic test was priced fair. Chris added freon which he believed to be the problem since I had none in. I told him how I had already done that and it didn’t fix it completely so he did a dye test. No leaks so he stated I had up to 90 days to come back. I paid and went to my car. Right before I was about to leave, it started blowing warm air again. He checked the shims and that completely fixed the problem. I was prepared to pay way more than $ 70 for everything. VERY happy about the repair in an hours time. I would definitely recommend this place!

I was able to arrive at opening time which led me to get my vehicle looked at and fixed in about an hour.
Had my radiator swapped out for a new one and Chris was courteous and charged me $ 250 less than local shops for a new radiator. His reg price… So for my first time experience I give him 5 stars.
I hope I don’t have to see him again anytime soon but if something goes wrong I’ll know where to look first.

I went in to get a quote and he didn’t even acknowledge me! Maybe because I was a girl? I don’t know, he wasn’t very nice.

This place sucks balls so does the owner very rude and very unprofessional or who ever the guy in the garage is, racist if u ask me i will never recommend this place not even to my worst enemy!

I don’t know if this guy was in a bad mood but man this guy is a dick no good service. Good bye.

Just wanted to say i changed my review from 4 stars to 5 because of the kindness of the shop man. I wasnt able to pick up my car on time and he let my car stay until monday. I am very happy this place exists!!!
First time coming here: In the beginning i wasnt impressed because (as USUAL for car places) they quoted me a time my car would be ready and naturally it wasnt done til 2 hours past quoted… hate that. But! The price to fix my overheating car was quite reasonable and the receptionist when I called was VERY friendly (i was shocked too). The man who was in charge of fixing my car wasnt rude at all. I was very impressed by the reviews here (considering the closest aamco has 1 star and pep boys has 3) so needless to say if i have another problem they can handle i’m coming here first!

I was in the waiting room from 10:00 am until 3pm.
The copy of my bill is posted they charged me $ 838.30 for a water pump, fan & air conditioning fluid.
Initially it was half as much.
When I came back from lunch they said the fan needed to be replaced for another $ 300.
I must be as dumb as I look.
I only came here because of the other reviews that specifically said they were quick and fairly priced I can see I am a minority here but I will not be back.
Everyone was very nice but the price just does not sit well with me regardless of my car being fixed this kind of charge to me is nauseating.
I seriously doubt there is anyone else here on any of these reviews who was charged as much as I was.

For my first review, I’m glad it was for this one. This is a legit review. Awesome customer service. Went in today to get my ac checked out. He hooked it up, took about 30 mins or so, when it was finally done he told me what was wrong with my car. No sugar coating. No beating around bush. Just straight to the issue. Gave me my quote. Told me I have 90 days to think about. Definitely will be doing business with them very soon. Also very friendly lady who asked what kind of station I listened to and she put it on the radio. I felt at home. Just amazing!

Great experience. I’ll definitely come back if I have any issues with any other vehicle. Honest and great prices. Got my a/​c system back to ice cold.

Chris and Jose are rock stars! They were honest, efficient and professional! My AC was on the fritz and I received a totally overpriced quote from another mechanic-​my boyfriend took his car to Advanced and they hooked him up-​I took mine in on the same day, left it there, got an estimate and an amazing deal on the repairs! They are great mechanics and even though it’s a drive for me to get here (I live in Huntington Beach) I’ll definitely bring my car here for all future repairs! Thanks Advanced-​you guys rock! I highly, highly recommend this place!

Fast, friendly, and very good pricing! I noticed that my ac wasn’t working and though I was in no rush to get it fixed I figured I should shop around and get prices before summer temperatures suddenly came around. This business was the only one who:
1. Answered the phone quickly
2. Had a low price for just checking the AC
3. Answered all my questions without sounding rushed
Needless to say, I took in my car, and though the owner said it took «a couple hours» to finish the job, I was in their cozy waiting area no more than an hour. I ended up spending literally HALF the amount in total, compared to the prices quoted to me for simply checking my AC at the other places I called. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Fair prices and quick friendly service. Had an AC issue called on a Saturday, Jose said we’re a little busy but bring it in and I check it out for you. Showed up and less than 1 hour later was driving away with nice cold AC and not too big a dent in my wallet. Jose one of the co-​owners is a super nice guy — worked quick, clean and again at a fair price.
Most mechanics seem smarmy and like they trying to rip you off — not at all the feeling at Advance. Analyzed the problem, what it would take just to fix that problem and prompt work. I drove 35 miles to get here thanks to Unilocaler reviews. I will be back.

Listen up! Chris is a 5 Star person with a 5 Star Company. My son is commuting 2 hours to Los Angeles for a new job when his radiator cracks in morning traffic. He manages to get to work but is in need of service in an area where he doesn’t know anyone. High quality reliable service! You can sleep easy when you take your vehicle to Advanced. The guys won’t take advantage of you and sell you something you don’t need, or give you bad service.

What a great place! Friendly, honest and economical. The price was very competitive! After calling several places, Chris’s quote came out to almost half of most auto repair shops. My car needed minimal service it turned out. Yay! He took me right away and worked on it while I waited.
They had me sit in the comfortable, air conditioned lounge. Jodi offered to change the radio for me, plus there was a diverse array of CURRENT magazine selections to choose from (who does that? Every auto shop needs a woman’s touch!) Jodi, and Chris and Jose you rock! They even have a rocking chair and ottoman to use in while I waited.
And I’m happy to know I can use them for other car ailments too! I’m so glad Unilocal was able to direct me to a worthwhile place right in my own back yard.
