I found Bahn through the BMW Car Club of America and other online research. As a car nut, my BMW is quite special to me and something I make an effort to take good care of. I started going to Bahn for extra (7500 mile interval) oil changes. When my warranty ran out, I starting going to them for everything. They use the same parts and supplies as the dealer, are more efficient with time, and overall give me a MUCH happier and more satisfying experience than my dealership used to. Patricio and Mark are great. They’re friendly, honest, and appreciate that you want your great car taken care of without paying enormous dealer prices. They’ve earned my ongoing business!

If you own a bmw or mini, then you should definitely check this place out! After searching for a good auto shop, and tired of being ripped off at the dealer. I stumbled upon Bahn Motorworks. They have excellent customer service, and very fair prices. My mini has never driven better! Thank you Bahn Motorworks.

Took in my 2005 BMW 530i this week for an oil leak coming for the Oil pan plus inspection.
Got my quote from my man Patricio, true honest guy. Nowadays it’s scary to know wether your getting ripped of or not; here at Bahn I feel that trust relief. Also sometimes you don’t know wether or not you can trust a mechanic with their knowledge but not at Bahn. They don’t over charge for parts and they are straight forward with their labor charge.
I found out about them about 3 years ago when I first took my same car, now I’m back and will be again if my Bimmer needs more service.
I highly recommend these brilliant guys !

I went in to Bahn for the first time and let me tell you. They are amazing. I went in with out an appointment and Patricio was more then accommodating. My car, Pepper (yes, my car has name), was in need of some TLC. Patricio was very honest with me and told me that I had neglected my baby for quite some time but to not worry. Bahn to the rescue. Great service, fast service, and HONEST service. I won’t be taking my car any where else. Thank Bahn for the great work.

I have an ongoing business relationship with Bahn Motorworks. I have been in the business almost 30 years and I have to say that Patricio has perhaps the most knowledge about BMW cars that I have encountered. The shop feels very friendly yet professional. If you want your car done right you’d have a hard time finding a better repair facility.

This place is the best! Honest and thorough. Prices better than dealer but same quality with friendlier and personal service. They have helped me out of a jam on more than one occasion and serviced my BMW as well. They are professional, clean and meticulous. Highly recommend!

I live over 30 miles away but I won’t ever take my car to anyone else. Bahn is simply the best.
I first spoke to Patricio (the owner) over the phone when I was trying to get a pre-​purchase inspection done the same day for a BMW I was interested in purchasing. While he tried to work me into their schedule, it was just too last minute (I called at 2pm that day). I understood and thought he would just hang up the phone since I wasn’t a potential customer.
Instead, Patricio spent a long time with me on the phone, discussing potential problems and how to spot them. He walked me through the entire process and took the time out of his day to tell me exactly what to look out for. It became immediately obvious that he is a mechanic who truly cares about his customers and wants to ensure that people don’t get ripped off or drive unsafe vehicles. This really impressed me and after purchasing the car I was interested in, I decided to take it to Bahn to have a post-​purchase inspection conducted.
Patricio was able to get an appointment for me on short-​notice and when I came in, I was happy to find a comfortable waiting room and clean, professional shop. He told me exactly what the PPI would cover (almost everything) and gave me a fair price for what was being done. While the inspection was being conducted, Patricio spent hours answering my endless questions about everything. For anything I asked him, Patricio had a detailed answer ready and he was happy to spend as much time explaining as I needed.
After the inspection was complete, Patricio walked me through everything, line by line. He took me under the car and showed me exactly what was going on. He showed me how the current, worn part looked compared to the new part which he would install so I had something to compare to. He spent a lot of time making sure I truly understood everything. In addition, he advised me as to which repairs were needed immediately and which could wait for a while.
After doing my own research, I was very confident that the repairs he suggested and the prices he quoted me were correct and fair. Best of all, he was able to finish the job quickly so that I could be back on the road ASAP.
If you truly care about your vehicle, you won’t go anywhere else. My experience at Bahn was the best I’ve ever had with any shop, by far.

AWESOME 1^st experience. I normally only take my car to the dealer (McKenna) for service. But recently I didn’t feel comfortable with the quote I received for maintenance. The service guy told me my maintenance was a couple months overdue but when I took the car in a couple of months ago, they wouldn’t do the work. Dumb! Anyway, I decided to shop around & found great reviews for Bahn.
I made my appt. With Patricio. He is very friendly & professional. At no point did I feel he was trying to sell me non-​essential repairs. The quotes were fair (better than dealer pricing) and overall smooth transition. I am very happy with my first encounter & highly recommend trying them.

Update: I’ve been coming to Bahn since March 2013 now and this place is still absolutely legit. Everyone’s friendly, they do awesome work my car drives like new despite being an 2003 mini.
This place is literally legit, I’ve taken my 2003 Mini Cooper there for a plethora of service and repairs they always do a fantastic job. The staff is friendly and professional and really go all out to meet your needs. I tend to wait for my repairs which means I have gotten there at 9am and left at 3−4pm they try their best to get me in and out and always ask if I need anything since I’m literally there all day. Great work, at an affordable price I know my Mini is in capable hands when I take it to Bahn Motorworks.

I experienced the infamous ‘waterpump failure’ on my ’08 335i and my first thought was to finally try out this shop. I had seen it many times when driving by as I live in the city. I wanted to avoid a potential bank buster by taking my car to the dealer so I called them up and scheduled a time to bring my car in.
They were cool, honest guys who gave me a direct quote and provided an accurate estimate of how long it would take to fix my car. They even discovered that the shop I currently take my car to for service-​McKenna in Norwalk had put non-​BMW coolant into my car. When my maintenance plan expires with BMW I definitely will be bringing my car here for service in the future.

I have been bringing my E90 here for service and repair since my warranty and service expired long time ago. Great customer service from Patricio and Mark. Recently my car developed some electronic glitches and I called them up. Even though they were busy and always booked, they were able to squeeze me into an appointment and took the time to really trying to figure out what’s wrong, now that’s customer service right there. I can only imagine how much I would have to pay for the same repair at a dealership. If you’re looking for a reliable independent BMW repair/​shop, give them a call unless you enjoy getting rape at a dealership with half of the care/​attention these guys will provide.

Are you sick of going for an oil change and being told by the mechanic that you need your engine rebuilt (WTF)? Are you fed up with the bombardment of suggestions of unnecessary things you need to do to your car when you only came in to get your flat-​tire fixed? If you are, then I suggest giving Bahn Motorworks a try. They are some of the most TRUSTWORTHY and KNOWLEDGEABLE mechanics you will ever meet.
They provide GREAT SERVICE for a very REASONABLE PRICE. They will not up-​sell you or suggest anything you don’t need just to make a buck! And the service always comes with a smile from the friendly staff.
They also have a very clean and comfortable waiting area equipped with a flat screen TV and all. No more risking getting grease on your clothes while you wait to get your car serviced.
Just FYI, Bahn Motorworks specialize only in servicing BMWs and MINIs. You can call and ask for Patricio (Co-​Owner) to schedule an appointment.

Great service! Honest mechanics! Mark and Patricio are awesome… they have repaired my e36 & e46 convertible on several occasions with prices that the stealership can’t touch… Side story under warranty I recently took my e46 to have the right strut replaced at pacific bmw…2 weeks later I took my car to bahn to replace the left strut… turns out the right strut wasnt installed correctly and they broke my headlight level sensor… bahn corrected the badly installed strut for me at no additional cost and took pictures of the broken sensor to show the dealership… wow! That’s all can say. these guys go the extra mile. At times even giving me advice on how to do some of the repairs, they could easily do themselves. …they have saved me major $$$$$. Give them a shot they will earn your business. With honesty, and quality work far superseding the dealership.

I’ll be taking my car here from now on. It totally beats going to the dealership for service.
I don’t trust dealerships for service — especially after my warranty has expired. Who knows what they are doing to my car when I’m not looking, so that something will happen to it to make me bring it back a month later.
Anyway, this place is low-​key, Mark is friendly and does a good job with my car, and prices are WAY reasonable than going to the dealership. Mark even took me under my car to show me a leak. Doubt they would do that at the dealership.

I had a part that needed to be fixed, and couldn’t find a trustworthy shop around my area — the ones I took my BMW to around here haven’t left me with a good impression. When I called around to different shops in the area, Mark at Bahn gave me a quote over the phone and put me in the schedule pretty quickly.
I’m very pleased that I brought my car here, because I found that Mark and Patricio are VERY friendly and know their way around BMWs (especially E46s). Although Downey is pretty far from where I live, the first impression I got from Bahn is that they are trustworthy, friendly, knowledgeable, and absolutely reasonable with their rates.
I will definitely bring my car to them again, and wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone who needs their car repaired. At the very least, give them a call!
