Creative Beginnings Schools

I have been going to Creative Beginnings since I was a toddler. I love this school! All the teachers are very kind, helpful, and fun. This school is the best school for any kid. It helps kids interact with each other, learn, and have fun. Some activities that I remember were Thanksgiving feasts, Open House, Halloween, Valentines Day, and so much more. Your child will have a blast at this school. Even in daycare, they get their homework done and they get to play. The food is amazing! It was the best food I would ever have. They have personal cooks who make the food and design a healthy menu for the kids. Examples would be like mac and cheese, tuna sandwiches, cheeseburger macaroni, spaghetti, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, and so much more. They make sure they have the children’s allergy info when they make the special food. You don’t have to eat the food all the time, you can send your child with a packed lunches. Oh I almost forgot the best part, the school plays. Outstanding! This school has the best music teacher and main producer of the plays. The plays are appropriate and adorable. Please send your child here. You will not regret it, trust me I am a graduate of Creative Beginnings Elementary School. I came here from a toddler to 5^th grade. I enjoyed every moment of it. I want to shout out to Mrs. Kim, Mr. Steve, Ms. Brenes, Mr. H, Mrs. Margarita, Mrs. Jamie, Mrs. Kathaleen, and the rest of the staff I love you!

I have never written a review on Unilocal before but after my son attended daycare here I feel the need. My son started when he was 6 months old, along with many small issues (like him be constantly sick, which I understand is normal for large centers like this one) my son was in accident where someone was not watching him carefully and started to exit THE FRONT door. (None of their doors or gates have locks on them, nor do they have any working video cameras) he grabbed the bottom of this heavy, metal and glass door and sliced his finger open, requiring him to have 3 stitches at only 10 months old. I was guarenteed this issue would be address with baby gates in front of the doors, etc. No action was taken. My son also was taken to urgent care after picking him up from daycare because he was crying and grabbing his private area, only to find out my sons penis was bruised! When talking to the supervisor and informing her of the incident, it went unnoticed. I came back 3 days later and not one of the workers were informed about what happened to my son. Now as a parent, if a worker did not harm my child and saw he was hurting, why wouldnt you inform the parent or ask questions? Isnt that their job? I pulled my son immediately from the day care & enrolled him in another. We have help from the state that pays my sons child care. my son was taken from the Creative Beginnings the second week in February but they requested payment until March 9! As well as not reimbursing me from prior payments since December!!! All in all, my experience was an absolute nightmare. I went to work crying because I felt my child wasnt safe or being watched closely. I hope and pray nothing like this happens to a child or their parents have to experience what I did.

I absolutely love Creative Beginnings and was very sad when my children graduated. CBE teaches through 5^th grade and I wish that they would teach up to at least the 8^th grade. My two youngest received an excellent education there and were both reading at 11^th grade level when they graduated. Both of my children graduated with excellent writing skills and developed an excellent vocabulary and love for reading while they were students at CBE. My daughter attended the toddler center and could read by the age of four. She could also write her numbers to 100 and was able to do basic math problems before she went to their kinder program. The teachers while strict are great. The curriculum is excellent and all the staff and teachers are great… My children attend public school now and I only wish that public schools could teach at the level that CBE does.

I enrolled my daughter at Creative Beginnings as an infant. The infant center was always clean and well kept. As she grew she continued into age appropriate rooms. The staff was always very helpful and sincere. The director Yanel was always curtious and very responsive with anything. I had my daughter there until this month since we moved out of the city of Downey. We will miss being at Creative Beginnings over 2−½ years.

Great schools cannot exist without a great groups of teachers and the diversity of kids that make this school so great. We have the most beautiful, interesting, interested, and talented children at this school, all due to the cultured and very well educated teachers they have at this elementary.
They are truly here to teach/​learn, grow, and experience life and they genuinely care about their students. Every Adult and child is enriched by just being part of this school. Love their curriculum, it is always more advanced compared to public school, so it gives Creative Beginnings Students the foundation needed to motivate and carry them though when they graduate.
They also offer summer school with it’s own fun classes for summer with field trips that the kids look forward to every year. They are taught the importance of music, and several performances are put on by the students through out the year, they love it and creates lasting memories every year and before you know it, you have a very well grounded confident student.
My families kids attend this school and some of our friend’s kids too. All 3 of my kids have attended these schools, starting from the baby school, preschool, and now the elementary and as long as these schools are around our future Generations will too. The elementary is worth every Penny. It’s an investment in our child’s future.

I love this school. My little one goes to the sister school. It is a pretty penny but it is worth working hard for. Kids love the food and staff is friendly. If you are looking for a good education for your kiddos this is the place =). Believe me I have high standards.

My daughter has been going to Creative Beginning Schools since she was 2−½ years old. I will admit there are schools out there that are less expensive, but what are they lacking. The staff is wonderful, lunches are made fresh (not catered in), they issue «Ouch Reports» to let you know if your child had an incident, Secure, they have homework time (plus for me) and my daughter loves it. Everyone I have talked to has known or had a child of their own go here and it has been nothing but praises. I am proud to say my daughter goes to Creative Beginnings and hopefully will be there till the 5^th grade.

Creative Beginnings has three facilities: toddler center, pre-​school and an Elementary school. My younger son attends the toddler center and my older son attends the elementary school.
Hours: 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (Great hours for working parents) They’re open year round except Holidays. Not bad!
Pricing: Good! Great! I moved from Santa Monica and tuition is nothing in comparison. Two daily snacks and lunch are included. Parents are responsible for books, testing fee and other supplies but this is to be expected when attending any private school. Again, the pricing is reasonable in comparison to other private schools.
Toddler Center: I opted for day care and I am glad I did (as apposed to a nanny) because I have seen the benefits of my boys interacting with children their age and participating in age appropriate activities. I feel my son is in a safe environment and I am called immediately if my son is ill.
Elementary School: I can’t say enough about the Elementary School. My son receives personalized attention because of the class size. As a result, my son is exceeding in many of the categories/​subjects. This alone is well worth the tuition. He recently graduated from Kindergarten and the school held a very nice graduation program (the children even wore cap and gowns).
The summer program rocks. Fields trips are held every Friday. Swimming twice a week and Academics are also part of the summer curriculum. My son is learning Spanish!
The office staff and teachers are great and always available to answer any questions and address any concerns.

I enrolled my son in the pre-​school when he was bout 2.5 years old, he completed elementary school with creative beginnings too!
It is a such a wonderful environment for kids to grow-​up in, the staff is amazing, everyone knows each other and the class sizes are small.
I always felt like the children were safe. They teach at an advance level and make sure your child is learning. They really care!
My son has such great memories! Open house was always fun and the Christmas plays were too cute! I am so happy my child attended here and I recommend it other parents.
My son is graduating 8^th grade this year with a 4.0 and is always scores well on tests. This place gives children great work ethics.
I use to volunteer (which I loved to do) and witness the cook make meals, which were prepared just fine. I entered the kitchen many times and it was always clean.
I didn’t give it all 5 stars because tuition is pretty high and there are many extras we need to pay for in addition to the costly tuition like an «earth quake kit». Which by the way I never saw nor was it given to me at the end of the year. The summer program is at an additional cost and the playground is small. One of the teachers there I couldn’t get along with. She was really strict and sometimes yelled at my son even after I told her he had adhd. But other parents loved her because she was strict. Either way she did make the kids learn.
The elementary use to be an apartment complex and needs to be remolded to look more like a school.
Overall, I am happy with sending my child to Creative Beginnings!

I am a very pleased paent, both my kids were at daycare one started at two and the other at three months and they were happy. I recommended it to a friend who is also very pleased. i do understand the stress tution increase can cause in the economy but I also believe that if you can afford private daycare you are better off by choosing an environment that is safe and loving and between 1 and 4 that is even more important than learning to count. Both my kids have since graduated from daycare but i can only say that teachers made every effort to help my kids thrive they speak three languages and believe me the teachers tried o communicate in all three of them!

starting in September 2012 they’ll be raising tuition again 15.00 per week per kid thats 780.00 dollars a year more per kid. What ever happened to a gradual increase like 5 dollars. If this goes through i’m taking my kid elsewhere. For this amount they better stress the importance of learning, reading, counting etc. And reduce playtime a little. I know playtime is important for the kids interactive and communication skills but when you walk into their classrooms in the middle of the day and you see kids playing when their curriculum for the hour should be story time well thats just straight robbery. Yes I said robbery in the form of raising tuition and also in robbing our kids from a private education that us hardworking parent’s pay for.

Daycare is between 6:30 — 6:00 p.m. I don’t remember having to pay for disaster supplies in public school. I walked by during recess and the kids were having fun in the playground. Its a block away from my boyfriend’s work so I was curious. One year is $ 5300!
First grade books are $ 175 + testing fee and Kindergarten is $ 150. Summer field trips have an additional charge. Summer session includes swimming time. This breaks down to $ 132 weekly if your child attends for five days.
