So I went here today for a extension consultation for my mom, Marlene acted as if she didn’t need our business she wasn’t friendly at all and she was trying to sale hair for $ 200 that you can go buy at his and hers hair in LA for $ 80. I don’t care if I have to pay $ 500 or more for hair if it’s worth it but the fact that she had a bad attitude and the quality of the hair was cheap made me want to leave this review and to not go back to her salon. If I could leave 0 stars I would.

Marlene is simply the best. She enjoys and loves what she does and it is clear in the quality of her work!
I have come to her for my hair cuts and most recently my eyelash perm. I am so in love with my lashes. Everyone has been asking if the are real, I’ve gotten so many compliments. The perm makes your lashes curly and last up to three months. I definitely recommended Marlene to everyone!

I had been trying different stylist to get the right color for me, yet no one did me justice! Until I met MARLENE!!! I been coming to her salon for two years now & my hair has not only gotten longer but also stronger! I love her work and her products she uses while styling! Marlene has become my favorite girl to cut my girl! She is super cool and funny. I always enjoy my hair cut because we talk and laugh a lot! Not only that, but my hair grows pretty fast and I always get compliments. My family asked me just recently where I cut my hair because they saw my short bob hair. My friend and I go to her all the time. I feel I can trust her with doing anything to my hair. Next time, I’m dying it!

I love this place. I have been coming to Marlyn for almost a year now and I have always left happy and keep coming back! She has a great hand with hair and listens exactly to what you want. Both Ana and Marlyn always make you feel welcome and try their best to accommodate clients’ schedules and hair needs. I have sent a couple of people their way and definitely will continue to do so.

Prior to Marlene I was always hesitant of making any changes to my hair (because it had been so damaged before by «professionals») However, Marlene has always been able to create each hairstyle (color, cut) exactly how I envisioned it! She’s the only person that has been able to take my hair from black to a beautiful ombré and now to an awesome chocolate brown, with perfect highlights… without ever leaving my hair feeling damaged and/​or dry!
The salon itself is adorbs! Super clean and the other girls working there are beyond friendly! If you’re ever in the Downey area, treat yourself!

Sure, Life might have disappointments but going with Marlene was NOT was one of the best decision I had made, I previously went to a beauty salon and ask for an Ombré hair color but the job was terrible I was very upset my hair was seriously damage I was so unhappy with may hair. Until one day one of my friends post a picture of her hair on Facebook with the hastag #Mbombshell #Marlene and I was totally in love with it, the job was AMAZING !!! so I decide to text her and I quickly got a response form her which it was amazing and I was able to booked an appt, And sure enough she was able to fix my hair and the results were more than what I expect it, I was so in love with My hair I received so may good compliments from my friends, co-​workers & family. I defiantly recommend Marlene you wont regret it !!! she is just so amazing and talented but most of all Very Friendly makes you feel like you are at home.

Marlene is very attentive. She did my eyelashes and I loved them. I usually go with some Asian lady and it always burns. But Marlene did a awesome job!

Marlene does an amazing job on my hair. We are currently working on getting my hair to a healthy status. I routinely go in for keratin hair treatments and hair trims. My hair is extremely damaged due to hot styling tools and previous hair dyes. She was completely honest with me when I suggested dying my hair lighter. She told me my hair would not take it. Any other stylist would of taken my money, and dyed my hair. If I wouldn’t of taken her advise I would be completely bald. Marlene genuinely cares about her clients. Her routinely hair trims and keratin treatments are actually making my hair grow. I definitely recommend this salon.

I have never dyed my hair before but I was finally convinced to do something new.
I went with an ombré, I showed her a picture, She explained and got into detail with the colors. Towards the end I seen the blonde and got a little nervous (only because I was afraid of change.) The outcome of my hair was better then the picture I showed her. I highly recommend her, she has a great attitude, great service and great work!

It was my first time here and I love that I took the risk of going somewhere new. It’s near me, clean, and I enjoyed the vibe. Marlene dyed my hair and let me tell you I loved it, I had it blonde and dyed it chocolate brown, Marlene knew exactly what I wanted. I can’t speak for the rest of the girls who work here but marlene is very friendly, nice, professional. I highly recommend her.

The ladies here are so great! I have been here for eyelashes and color and they do such a great job. I love how friendly and sweet the women are and the work they do is wonderful! I came in with horrible brassy color left over from an ombré do and they fixed it and made me love my hair. Great prices, great service, and great attitudes! I love my new salon!

After moving from Santa Barbara I was afraid that I wouldn’t be able to replace my stylist of 4 years, well lucky me I found Marlene! I came across her Instagram page after looking at a mutual friend’s hair change picture a few weeks after my move to Los Angeles. I decided to take a shot and I’m so glad I did!
I went with an ombré and oh boy did I love it! I got sooo many compliments on it! I just went back after 6 months to retouch my hair and go a bit lighter and no regrets here! The compliments are still coming! Take this from a person that never left her comfort zone, which was having black hair.
Marlene is super down to earth so you can hardly feel you’re there for x amount of hours (depending what you do to your hair). She makes you feel as comfortable as possible. It makes you feel like you’ve known her for a lifetime! It helps that she is young too so she knows what’s in style right now with us women!
Never changing my hairstylist!

Marlene took care of my hair a little over a week ago. I finally said goodbye to my long hair and welcomed a new look. Marlene is simply awesome! I met her for the first time last year in Spring when I decided to get an ombré. After doing much research she was the only one who fit my qualification needs. Now she’s the only one I trust with my hair!
There is no one else I would have allowed to cut my hair the length I wanted it. After having long hair for quite a while this was a major decision for me. As usual the results were just what I wanted and then some. I live towards Hollywood and she’s way on the other side of town but the drive is worth it. I love my hair and the new look. I haven’t had my hair this short in ages and am even considering going shorter. :)
My profile photo doesn’t show her work… yes an update is needed but believe when I say she is definitely talented. Nothing beats a hairstylist who does their job like no other, provides a good conversation and leaves your hair looking amazing.

I have been getting my hair done by Marlene for the last 3 years.
I can seriously say my hair has been the healthiest ever! I am so happy and pleased by her work. She is definitely a professional and I love that she always gives me great tips and advice on what haircuts and color suits me best.
I love all the great hair products that she uses and recommends, without them my hair would be a hot mess! Aside from my hair being the healthiest, my hair has grown so much since I have been going with her, she definitely has the magic touch and I would never go with anyone else. Best of all it’s affordable and high quality.
