The 2016 Unilocal500, Review #080: A lot of things here your life can survive without. This is a fact… and I have come to realize that this place is not selling anything of serious value or quality but, they can act like it is all gold and you are terrible for not recognizing that fact. Well, let me. tell you, I have come across this attitude in more than one Pier 1 but, NOT at this store. The employees that I met here, as I waited for my better half to finish shopping, were outstanding. Nice job Downey Landing Pier 1 Imports! Regional managers should take heed!

I use to like this store. I guess there may have been changes in management style. I was not greeted when I walked into the store and I use to love the way the store smelled when walking past the candles. Maybe it’s just me. I’ll go back and update my review then.

Not very helpful when looking around and the store is very dusty, HOWEVER, Robert is awesome! He helped me at the register and was friendly, efficient and helpful. Keep him! He sets a good example for what customer service should be.

Over the passed weekend I struggled at finding the right designs for my new couches. Luckily, I found just what I was looking for at your store! A young lady named Alease I believe, enlightened my experienced and helped me find my pillows! Amazing girl and great experience, I will be back!

Every time I go to this store, they don’t have it in stock or are limited. I always end up regretting going to this store, I only come here because it’s closer to me but I have had better experiences at other locations. The staff here at this specific store needs customer service training for customers to want to come back.

i walked in almost as there were going to close, they did allow me to look around, as i was ready to pay the cashier told another employee that she seen my son pocket something, and then came closer and asked my nephew and my son to check there pockets because she seen them pocket something, i mentioned to her they took nothing they were just waiting for me to finish, my son was so offended that he defended himself he is 10 yrs old but my nephew felt so bad he cried when we left, he is only 5 yrs old, i’ve never seen him this way, how dare she accuse them and have them empty there pockets and when they did and they had nothing she didn’t even apologize to them or me, that employee just caused this store to lose ratings with me, i will not go back, i would much rather drive much further or order online.

Do not attempt to go to this store if you have small babies. They don’t allow shopping carts inside the store. They asked me to leave when I entered the store with my 1 year old. I had him on a shopping cart from Marshall’s. The lady was not nice when she asked me to leave, she didn’t explain why carts are not allowed.

This store had a lot going on– visually and literally. It is jam packed with a LOT of stuff. Almost overwhelming. Whomever is the visual manager needs to organize a little better because there are patterns mixed up and nothing matches. It doesn’t flow well. Also, the bathrooms are not very clean.

BATEANDSWITCH . I saw the ad, bed headboards; with a good price. Purchased the unit; but. here’s the kicker. they didn’t have one in stock. and had to order one. no big deal. ;yet. Went to the store to pick the unit up. guess what. not available. BUT. had a more expensive one on the docks if I wanted to pay the difference. ! Good ol… bait and switch routine. Got my money back and strange thing. they never called me to notify me of the unit being available. Buyer beware. their activity is illegal as their stories. I wouldn’t believe their statements if their tongues were notarized BUYERBEWARE. and stay away.

Today my fiancé and I went in to make sure there was a certain item in stock that we had seen on the web. The item was in stock. It was a cushion for the single papasans. Drew an associate there, brought it out along with another cushion she recommended that wasn’t on display or something she noticed that could be sold as a normal sales associate should do. Great service by her by the way! The only problem we had before and while inquiring about the papasan cushions, we asked for price check on the other one she brought out. We noticed, not Drew, but other associates not letting us know about the cost of the cushion. As we talked to Drew we were waiting on the price check from other associates and noticed one named Monica, not disclosing the cost of the cushion because she wanted it for herself as we over heard her whispering, «I want to buy it.» I don’t think she noticed us paying attention to Drew and the surrounding associates as well, while we waited on a response by the counter. Drew scanned it herself finally letting us know what the price on it was. I see why they were acting like that. It was at a clearance priced. I mean come on. Really? I hope the lady, Drew, didn’t get in trouble for this but I would’ve gave this place 5 stars because of her. It’s a shame associates keep bargains for themselves when they already get percentages off because they work there. I may be wrong but still. Hope they do something about this. Kind of see why its not as busy as it should be.

I’m not a big Pier 1 fan but since I only had one left bowl for way too long with my picky self, I gave it a browse. Surprisingly they have some really quirky stuff. I found another bowl and a really cute cup. The staff was friendly but a tad annoying. I mean yes I know I am holding a bunch of cups in my hand looking for the right cup but no I don’t need basket.really. I’m fine. I didn’t know whether to be flattered by their attention or annoyed at their overbearing suggestions. Either way it was a fun experience in general and I love the random things I got there.

Very helpful staff — that’s a good thing start with especially when you can’t decide what to get from all the amazing goodies Pier 1 has to offer:) Product availability — one more cool thing to say about Pier 1. As a customer I expect that whatever is on display the store pretty much has it in stock, right? I give Pier 12 thumbs up!
