Went in with a friend to eat. Asked for a table and the counter person said that if i want my food to stay it’ll take longer than if I want it to go. There were only 8 customers in the restaurant at the time. While she was telling me all this she was looking down. It’s extremely disappointing. Not sure what it is that caused her to do that.

Server – Sakeem – was great. Very courteous. Went on a Sunday afternoon and they were a little understaffed. Just expect to wait a long time to get seated, and for the food to come. But, it’s bright inside.

I went yesterday for the first time new yeard eve, Bad service started from the door. Unprofessional hostess very lazy. After promise of a ten min wait.(45 mins later). When to sit and a bunch empty seats. Place order another 45 mins and alot of pissed off customers as well. Food came, Omelette terrible. Hard harshbrown, steak tough and pancakes taste like a cheap brand mix. Customer asked hostess next to me why u sitting me in a section with a dirty floor. She(hostess) was sucking her teeth at customer huh. How is the servicer for another table going to come out the kitchen with food for his customer eating food in his mouth. he couldnt even talk when asked a question. Did i mention the front foor handle was coming off lol.

This particular IHOP is very clean, and the staff are very courteous. The waffles and sausage, eggs were delicious. The food was serve very promptly and just how I requested. My first visit to this particular IHOP and definitely will return. My waiter Theos was on point with my order, and check on me frequently to insure all was well.

I was pleasantly surprised that it was not a full house for Sunday brunch. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by smiling female employees whom I later advised that my party had not arrived. I love the comfy seating that was located nearby for customer waiting on their party or take-out. Soon as everyone arrived, there was no wait time for us to be seated. Had a wonderful time over a nice, warm waffle and eggs with turkey sausage. My mouth is just watering as I write this review. Great customer service. I am so glad they finally reopened after having to relocate due to across the street after the land was sold for the construction of new residential/commercial buildings. Forget about the IHOP in Canarsie, I’m definitely sticking to the one in downtown Brooklyn.

Good morning ! My other half & I started off with iHOP! Okay so I never had iHop and all my friends been going all the time! So I kept asking him to take me to iHop. We finally went today! Yay time to eat! great customer service! I didn’t have to wait a long time for a table. Servers were Avery kind. My partner & I believed the Egg were not done well. It looked like the eggs were sitting on the table before it was given to us. But we let it slide this time. We started off our morning well! I ordered the breakfast combo which was scrambled egg, two turkey sausage which were really small, hash brows & great cheesecake pancakes. The pancakes were my favorite! He ordered a omelette with avocados on top, hash brown and plane pancakes. He didn’t like the omelette because it didn’t have much flavor which SUCKS !! I need my omelette to be delightful! They didn’t rush us to leave which was great ! Goodbye

Surprisingly fast and pleasant service here! I was seated for a table for one right away on a Saturday morning. Not bad, I’ll probably go again.

I was VERY wary of this place when I read the terrible Unilocal reviews. Unfortubately, I was already sitting in the restaurant. Yikes! Fortunately for me my experience could not have been more different than the reviews I read. My sister and I were greeted politely at the door and immediately taken to a table. This was about 9:30 in the morning on Veteran’s Day. They weren’t packed l, but they were doing good business. Our waitress, Shanequa, was prompt, charming and very efficient. No long wait for our meals, sirloin tips for my sis, and the pumpkin spice waffle for me. The food was hot, delicious and fresh when it arrived at our table. All in all, great experience. No rude serving staff. No-one hanging around gabbing on their phones or to each other instead of working. I would definitely return if I’m in the area and feel like some waffles.

I came at about 8:00 or so and it was really slow, there weren’t many customers. I was escorted to my seat by the hostess where she put me at a small table. I requested to get a booth to have space to work on some stuff before work. Now, I understand, it’s just one person, so getting a booth is usually for at least 2 people but there was maybe 10 customers at the location. I figured it wouldn’t be a big deal. Nope. It was a big deal. The hostess asked me if it was just me dining today. She told me I couldn’t sit at the booth in case it got busy. How long was I really going to be there? I just come to eat then leave If the hostess acted this way, there was no way I was going to move forward with my meal. I ended up leaving and going to the diner up the block. Staff was not friendly or inviting. Other customers were seated at a booth alone. But it was a big deal when I requested.

Looks like a nice spot for breakfast and sweets but there’s no teamwork here. If they’re not your server, they ignore you. The majority of the waitstaff is in the back loudly socializing while doing prep work as if the entire restaurant is void of patrons. One skinny young hostess was really nice. She greeted me while others saw me and continued to talk and said, «Have a nice night» when I left. That was more service then what I got from the 2 waitresses I had because of a shift change. The tall slender manager was considerate in making sure the tables were all attended to but he’s got his hands full managing a wild bunch. Depending on the server you got, they were either attentive or conveniently forgetting you were there. I was also given an old pot of coffee that later made me sick. I would like to come back because I love waffles and pancakes but they need to keep the good staff and be rid of the ones that do not care about the patrons or their jobs.

I’ve been coming to this IHOP since it opened. The first time was mediocre. But I didn’t pay it any mind because it just opened. I came back we 4 other people, we had a server name Nyajah. Who didn’t write anything down and got everything right! Funny. Charming. Excellence customer service. I had her 3 more times after that. NOW I GOTHEREWHATLOOKSLIKETHEMANAGERSHE’S INTHEBACKLALAGAGGING. I HADSERVICESBYSAMANTHAANDSHEWASSTRAIGHTUPDISGUSTING!!! A gentlemen Joseph noticed I was waiting to put my order in. Took my order(had me laughing BTW) walks off and Samantha comes right behind my booth. That’s my table put the order in as mine and drank her. I guess that mean bring her drink. Not only did he do as she said. He brought my meal, refills, napkins. And she brought my bill. Didn’t even ask if everything OK. I went there today because I work at the court house. Nyajah no longer work there. Joseph wasn’t there. I gladly walked out. I refuse to go there again.

Went in to get a takeout order, it took about 20 minutes which isn’t bad at all BUT our food was cold I walked five minutes to work while my mother walked across the street I opened it as SOON as I got there, we purchased the chicken fajita omelette which I have had before and 3 pancakes both were just ehh, maybe because it was cold. I also asked to have the pancake mix removed from the eggs the hostess told me that it’s pre-mixed which I haven’t heard of since I requested that at a Manhattan ihop and had no issue they even gave me egg whites. The service was basic. Needless to say I won’t be back anytime soon.

Surprisingly, this has to be the best IHOP in NYC. I know that it’s still a new location, but their customer service was really good. The other locations need to take a page out of their book. From the greeters to the wait staff to the manager — excellent. Also, this has to be the roomiest location! You’re not on top of each other like other locations. It is very spacious. The wait time for our order was not long at all. Omar was our waiter last week… Courteous and very pleasant! The manager also took time to walk over to various tables to ask how everything was going.

This place is an absolute joke I am a manager in the food industry and have been for years and I can tell you this is by far the worst experience although my server was nice it took 25 minutes to be asked if we wanted drinks almost an hour for our food which came to us ice cold we then told our server that everything was cold he replaces the order only for half the order to be over cooked and I mean French toast that could’ve chipped a tooth. The manager is laughing and hanging out like its a park staff are sitting a chit chatting I mean you might as well close now and save the money that’s going to be lost.

The service here is absolutely terrible. The waitress took about 25 minutes to bring our drinks to the table, got it wrong, & served coffee without milk. I asked if she could please bring milk & water; but this never happened. She returned to the table once every 15 minutes to tell us she was going to bring milk & water(3 times), but I ended up having to flag down another server to get it. She did the same thing with our food order — told us it was ready and that she was going to get it(and didn’t). It took one of us telling her that we’d been waiting an hour for food for her to finally bring it to us. One of the orders of eggs was ice cold.

Still working the kinks out. This IHOP opened a couple of weeks ago and it’s clear they’re still working through their service training. Food was good, service was slow, staff was polite. I’ll give it one more visit, but in two trips it’s been exactly the same.

I tried this new location with my sister and her boyfriend and had quite an unpleasant experience. First, we had a stroller and there are steps as you walk in. Two employees argued over whether I was allowed to use the elevator or not. I didn’t mind carrying the stroller down the steps, but it was uncomfortable to stand there as they argued only to conclude that the elevator was for wheelchairs only. Then we were sat in a lonely corner, as the host stated, to allow me extra space to accommodate the stroller. I normally would like that, but it caused our table to get little attention. First, our food took one hour to get to us. The server came once to explain that they had a new staff so it was taking longer to get food to us. But everyone around us received their food first and paid and left despite getting there afterwards. As we got up to leave without getting our food the server appeared with our food. It looked like scraps. Worst food I’ve tasted in a while. Then as I went to the bathroom to change my son’s diaper there were two workers in there on their phones. And finally, before we were about to walk out my sister’s boyfriend asked another waitress where our food was and she snapped at him saying we weren’t her table. She was so rude! I didn’t get her name but she had an accent and seemed to be middle eastern. We won’t ever come here again and we’ll be sure to stop our friends from coming here.
