I think there’s a different guy here than there used to be?

Yep. Best halal food in the area. Just across from Potbelly’s and Rocco’s Tacos. The line is always long but there is never a huge wait. He has a large assortment of food hot dogs, fried or grilled shrimp, fried fish, kofta and obviously lamb and chicken among other delicious items. Come hungry because the portions are huge and reasonably priced for this area. $ 7.00 will get you lamb and chicken over rice, side salad and a soda. The only thing I don’t recommend is a lamb gyro. Here’s why and feel free to call me crazy but the lamb is chopped into small bits. When you get a gyro elsewhere the meat is in strips. It’s a little messier with it being chopped and the meat isn’t as tender either. That’s all. Thanks for playing.

I go to school in Downtown Brooklyn and I must agree with the other reviews… best chicken and rice in Downtown Brooklyn hands down. Spicy rice is A+. Great service.

By far the best Halal food in Brooklyn period. I know it’s a bold statement but the 30 min wait does not lie. The owner is a great nice guy and makes the best chicken over rice around. Also don’t forget to add a pita bread on top

Best chicken and rice hands down in downtown Brooklyn. Expect to wait 10 minutes on the line as there is always a crowd. This is a street cart.
