This bar is no great shakes. I originally wrote something else, but it seemed too unkind to be too honest. A nice lady owns the bar, and the hospitality business is tough enough without some jerk taking cheap shots, so I’ll stick to the facts. First the positives: The bartender(the granddaughter of the owner) is lovely. And Bud draft(they only have Bud, Bud Light and Coors Light on tap) is $ 2.25. And because it’s in a strip mall, parking is free. But there’s no kitchen. Well, that’s not true: There’s a kitchen, but they don’t serve food. Apparently the previous cook left a couple months ago and, it seems, this economy is so strong that no one who knows how to drop burgers on a flat-top and fries in a fryolator is looking for work, so the position must remain eternally vacant. They don’t even have a jar of pickled eggs or a rack of potato chips. The décor: Walls the color of Pepto-Bismol. The place features no live entertainment, but does have a television, Keno and a vending machine selling lottery tickets. The bathroom is operational and, at least on a Saturday afternoon, no dirtier than many. I don’t know how this place stays in business, but I hope it turns around soon. I would nominate it for«Bar Rescue.» I’m not being mean, I just don’t know how else it will keep from going under.

Great Bar! Nothing fancy, cold stiff drinks, pool table minutes from the house in the Merrimack Valley. Very nice people!
